I am soon going to write a series of Human in Equestria stories about my pony version of me going to Equestria!

 

Feel free to tell me anything and everything you can think of about this idea. Such as:

 

 

1. Ideas as to how to make the series unique.

2. ideas for how to add more detail.

3. Proof reading

4. suggestions for future "books"

5. How he will get to Equestria.

Please keep in mind, due to personal reasons, some things in my head are set in stone. Such as:

 

1. "Me" shall fall in love with Fluttershy. If she accepts "my" feelings or not, shall be your pick in a future story.

2. In an attempt to NOT be hated, I will interact with background ponies.

I will hive you my advice. Make a plot just don't land yourself into Equestria and just make your OC have his way with Flutter then leave. You need to have a conflict of some sort. Some stories Ive seen is just a human going to Equestria and having coitis with his favorite pony.

I'll give a few tips.

1. I know this is a story about "you", but please don't make it a cut and dry "this is me" kind of story.

 

2. Don't use the Mane six. This is just a recommendation more so. The Mane six have very specific personalities, and mimicking them the same way the actual mlp writers do is difficult, and if you mess up people well turn it away.

 

3. Conflict. It doesn't have to be a villain. It can be a misunderstanding (to the extreme) or it can be focused around "you" wanting to get back to our world.

 

4. Grammar. This is a big one that most writers struggle with. Indent EVERY paragraph. Use quotations correctly, specifically in conversations between two characters. You don't have to be perfect (no one is), but do your best to make it look professional.

 

5. Lastly, the I want to point out the conversations themselves. It's good to use proper English, but no one actually talks with proper English anymore. Just be sure the character talks the same way they would act. If Pinkie came up to you and said "What are you doing?" that would strike most people as odd, because she normally says "Watcha doin?". This is probably the most important part (at least to me) in the story. If the character contradicts itself by the way it talks, then its over. This is all assuming you're writing in 3rd person. And if aren't please disregard this last point.
