Guardian sat back and watched as the two talked back and forth. When Hunter mentioned something about eating a cow, he thought we was going insane. But taking a closer look at the new comer and seeing the blood around his muzzle, things tend to aid up. "If you need me Hunter, I shall be tending to Betta." he said as he made his way upstairs.

 

He reaches the room shortly and finds Betta curled up into a ball. "Are you alright?" he asks

"That's where you're wrong. On 2 accounts actually. While most unicorn's have some special trick up their horn that gets them out of most situations, I don't. I traded most of my magic powers for physical enhancements. Happened through the same military program that I learned how to tell if a gun was loaded by how it was being held." He said, standing up in case this got dangerous. "As for the cow, do you know what it's like to be constantly starving to death because your body burns through nutrients in the tens of thousands per day. Normal food is in too short a supply for me to live without more 'Fresh' sources.

"Hmm, that's something I've never heard before in my travels. You're muscles have some pretty  extreme requirements to need such high amounts of protein. And hell, eating a live, uncooked animal would probably kill a regular pony. You must be quite a fighter with a body of iron to pull of such a feat, or is that just part of your physical enhancements?" resting on the bottom step, leaning and using the wall for support.

"For your first statement, it's justified in that I was given strength that is on the level of some of the stronger earth ponies and quick enough on my hooves to possibly match even your air speed. As for your second statement, yes, I am quite a fighter. I was one before I got my enhancements. I don't see how it would kill a normal pony though." He said. "The body of Iron came from the enhancements though. That was part of the enhanced strength."

"Quite a warrior then. We could probably throw you into a massive crowd of trotters and you could take them all down without breaking a sweat, hell, maybe even with your own hooves. Rather impressive if you asked me." swishing his tail back and forth, now with a light smile across his face

"Yes, you could. In fact, I've already done that. Today, when I was saving the broken mess upstairs from a 'fate worse than death'." He explained. "It wasn't a massive horde, only about 250, and even then killed most with explosives. Still, I was hungry." He said, no real emotion in his voice. "As for you, you don't look overly prepared for the worst possible odds. The fact that you survived this long implies that you have some training, where'd you get it?" He asked, now shifting the center of this interrogation away from himself.

"Eh, when I was younger I use to wrestle with bears in the forests surrounding my city. Rifle wise, ex-marksman for a small, special ops group.  Nothing much to it." with a light shrug of his shoulder. "Also, being able to fly does have it's perks. Not like a trotter can keep up with a gryphon anyway."

"Oh, Spec. Ops? Which squad, might have heard of you before. Like I said, raised military since my first fight 14 years ago." He said, pausing for a second. "Granted, you must not have been a great member of the squad, especially if you were a marksman and didn't know that a loaded gun weighs almost a full pound more than an unloaded one."

 

"Also, I know full well the perks of flying. If I had a pair of wings than I would be a true force of death."

Laughs pretty loudly "Oh man, I doubt any info on a gryphon spec ops squad would leak into your pony military. Besides, you were just another solider right? Doubt you'd even have the authority to ask. But ya, seeing as you have had previous involvement with the Equestria military, not really at liberty to say much more, never sure if the gryphon military is still active."

 

"And trust me, I know all too well what a gun weighs, and it's not like you're the first person I've tried this one, you're just the first person who figured it out. Now, what really amuses me is how you were able to figure it out without even looking, or are you just taking a blind guess and hoping that you're right?"

This response led to a much more uproarious laughter than Hunter's. "Holy crap, you're actually sticking to that outlandish story." Chain Mail said. "I mean, it's like you didn't even do research on the state of the Gryphon Army. After all, it's not a well known fact, but the Gryphon Kingdom had an abysmally small actual military, and the only reason nobody ever invaded was that it was surrounded by mountains and everyone there was at least competent with guns due to the compulsory basic training." He said, (I am actually not pulling this out of my ass. Gryphons in mythology live in caves carved into mountains. A kingdom of nothing but mountains would be needed for them, therefor I'm describing it as Switzerland, as it's not only across the sea from North Amareica/Equestria but also fits the bill for the Gryphon Kingdom)

 

"As for your other faulty statement, I would have been a general if Project Hellfire panned out. But it caused massive mood swings in one of the other test subjects.  It also caused the other survivor, that isn't myself anyway, to go into a spiritual spiral that sent him into isolation. So, I did have the authority to ask."

 

"Also, I was trained to be a one man army, I learned to observe with all of my senses to for a three dimensional image of everything around me at all times."

Cuppa finished the crumbs of the last cupcake she had in her bag from two months ago. Her stomach growled making her sigh. I sure wish I had some food. She thought to herself. Then she heard growls behind her. She looked behind her and saw a horde of zombies coming at her! She quickly ran away and looked around her surroundings to see if she can find shelter. She spots a building and quickly runs there. She let out happy sigh and froze when she heard hoofsteps coming towards her. Please dont be a zombie, please dont be a zombie.

"Keep telling yourself it's all a lie kid, whatever helps you sleep better at night. Least it's not as outlandish as yours, if you ever got anyone to believe that. Sure you got some abilities, and somehow are able to teleport a good distance, further then most normal unicorns, even though you claim to have little to no magic left." walking back up the stairs before looking back "Just keep your distance from me kid, I've seen enough of your type in my life and I'd rather not have to deal with the unpleasantness again." as he reaches the top of the stairs, finding a nice area to settle in for the night.

"And study the structure of the building before jumping through floors." He added as he pulled out a bit of the 500 lbs of meet that he saved from the cow and started eating it.

Betta Could not sleep with them fusing like two angery cats.

She hated yelling because of things that happend to her she was a foal made her Phonophobic to many things and one of them is that. She sighed covering her ears and slowly walked to the "Cat fight" , a word she chose to describe it perfectly.

"Can you guys shut up its like been a hour!" She says angery and and sits beside Mr G , in there fighting they coulent even hear her.

"I don't think they even heard me.. " She says to Gurdian puting her head in her hooves looking at them.

"It might help ease some stress off of you, and to also tune out the, 'Which has the bigger ego' fight going on." he laughed at the end of that. Humor helped in these kinda situations.

Cuppa turned around and let out a sigh of relief. Only her imagination. But what was that light that was coming from a room? Was somepony here already? She thought to herself. She slowly peeked through a door and saw a pony with her face in her hooves and two ponies arguing. She leaned in to far and fell into the room. She sat up and saw the other looking at her in shock. Crap.

"Uhh hi? she says because the fightng ponies were asleep now in the backrooms.

Guardian agreed with a shake of his head that a little stroll outside would do them right. But was cut off when a mare popped into the room. Only one thing entered his mind, "How did you get on the second story?" he said his thoughts out loud without even knowing.

"You don't know she could be a ninja!" she says laughing as she walked up to the pony." you can stay if your not planning anything bad dear" she said strickly. "Unless you try to hurt us You know what will happen,,, Are you gonna hurt us?" she said looking her in the eyes.

"oh she pasedout" she said laughing "what do we do now gurdian should we trust her?''she says as she drags the pony to the couch and puts her on it and takes the bag hidding it. " When she wakes up they can take care of her i guess" she says walking to the door."Ill guess ill go outside"

Hears two below come out of the bakery, but still cooling down after his heated conversation with Gamey, he decides to just let them be. Finding a nice spot on the opposite side of the roof and trying to get some sleep before morning. "One hell of a day." he softly whispers to himself.

''Stars are how i got here , you see i was a sience nerd when i was in highschool and i loved medical and astrony and guess what it did good reading thoses books 24 7 hun'' she says simling at him half opening her wings."I was a vetunaryian and a ghost hunter before this happend , I know it a starnge mix but it was fun to go out and hunt for ghost and see citys and old buildings and plus save lives! it was good"she said looking back to him " so what did you do?"

Guardian continued to look up to the skies as he first responded to Hunter. "Don't fret over it, shit happens." Then he spoke to Betta, "Before all this I was away from Equestria for four years. Traveling the land and learning as much as I can in combat, healing medicine, and books. No sooner do I return, all hell breaks lose." he drops his gaze from the stars and looks at the ground, "And there was nothing I could do." a single tear dropped from his eye.

Betta in a share of synpony. She puts her wing around him confreting him. She looks at the ground and sighs. "you know i was pregent when the shit hit the fan, my husbanded died and i was left alone in the wild intill i had a miscarage.... i " she say with tears in her eyes as she finshes she crys ."It was the only thing i had left!" she says in a crying voice.

Guardian brings Betta in for a comforting hug. "We all went through struggles and hardship this past year. But if we all work together, I know we can put this behind us and strive to make a better future for the new generation that will only hear about this through stories." he said to help ease the pain the two were feeling.
