Starting a Brony club or meetup group

Any ideas on how to start one of these? I'm an older brony whose gotten back into college and would like to meet other fans in the area (northern NJ) in person but don't really know how. I'm the only Brony among my friends.

 

I thought of putting up fliers looking for a get together but am wary of putting my personal contact info on display like that. Any other ideas?

you can always hang up other fliers where bronies put their email or phone number down or something. and then after a few days you go collect those fliers and you can make contact with them instead.

That doesn't seem like a good idea to me since you could get someone who dislikes bronies walk past it and see the email addresses and phone numbers and he could send them hateful emails and call their phones to annoy them and to try to upset them.

You could create a group on some social networks, like facebook for example for that school. They might notice it, other then that, really the best way is to wear some pony related clothes and meet people that way.

Yeah, I checked the meet up map. Unfortunately no one else is from northern NJ. There are some from NYC, which is a bit of a costly and time consuming trip for me to make regularly.

Rule Number 1 With Groups...

There is always 1 and only 1 mane leader/head, that makes all the major decisions/events with in the group
The Group HAS to be a Dictatorship NOT a Democracy if you wish for it to successes...

if your not willing to play with these rules DON'T start a Group or Join one for that fact
