Yes and there are six great multiplayer games for the system that are exclusives. Mario, The Wonderful 101, Pikmin 3, Wii Party U, Nintendo Land, and Wii Sports Club. There will be a lot more coming like Donkey Kong Country, Mario Kart 8, Smash Bros., and more. The Wii U will be the console for local multiplayer.

Depends. I played Little Big Planet online and it was a nightmare. Too many dummies who would just throw me around. Playing Mario 3D World locally works great.

Let's not even start on the level creation system... god. Hate it with a burning passion...

A multiplayer FPS I would suggest is Planetside. It is not an average fps because there are thousands of people fighting for one point. A different one would be payday 2, or maybe something like league of legends or dota, maybe an indie game would work best. lots of options for you.

I wish there were new arena shooters like Unreal Tournament 2004... now THAT would be a whole lot of fun! Those are the multiplayer games to play imo.

Team Fortress 2. Simply put, it has a variety of modes that provide excellent gameplay, characters somewhat rich in personality (Pyro in particular), and also has a decent weapons and class balancing system. (Notice I didn't say PERFECT)

2. I'M SORRY, BUT I'M USING THE ELEMENT OF HONESTY HERE. Battlefield 4.

Simply, it is not like BF:BC 2 (Now THAT game was real shit, I don't know why the hell people played that, almost as crappy as COD: MW3.)

3. I would say Halo 3... But that fits in a similar niche. Because it has a great soundtrack, great gamemodes, but is only for Xbox 360 and is pretty much threatened to go out, like the multiplayer of it's NOT-SO-GOOD (there I said it, I knew I would) Halo 2.)

 

Now to get off the internet.

My top 3 not online:

1. Super Smash Bros. MELEE. Notice how I DIDN'T say BRAWL...

2. Mario Kart (as a whole)

3. Mario Party 7
