"What is this?" Shadow felt a faint glimmer of magic, but not one coming from himself. Perhaps he was not entirely oblivious to the outside world in this stasis after all, however he could only determine that there was an exterior source and not it's nature or location of origin.

 

"Perhaps they will find me in here... Then again, perhaps not." He was thinking at an extremely fast pace, heightened by the fact that his mind did not need to worry with the sustaining of his body. Who created this glimmer of magic? What are they? Could they be friends or foe?

Steel heard Luna's call (assuming it's mental)). " yes Luna what do you need I'm ready to serve" steel though to her he always had been even though he left her command he was still protecting her

Luna continued to send the mental message to Steel, doing her best to keep it calm, "there is a swamp beyond Froggy bottom bogg, a diamond dog pack resides in it. They have taken a sun shard as well as capturing myself and Wanderlust, they seem intent on executing us. I don't know if you can get here in time, but please help secure that sun shard for my daughters and their group... The Seer here is very dangerous, be careful."

 

Wanderlust focus more and more power into the root and it only trembled slightly. The alpha looked slightly confused and looked to the seer for guidance, obviously he had expected them to beg. Laughter rang out from the tree, "Oh so you can you use the power of nature? Well Wytch, this tree is hardly something natural! The princesses made sure of that a millennia ago, when they tried to seal me away in it, my power leeched into it for so long it is now apart from a nature! I control it! Nature is nothing before me!"

 

Luna slowly opened her eyes, "Hexxus! This is your last chance. Free us or die."

Steel sighed and stood "we have to move now we Luna's life depends on it she has been captured by some diamond dogs" steel said as he picked up Astrid

Grell hugged sapphire hearin what steel said he summoned his scythe "let's move then" grell said

Steel nodded and took flight heading to foggy bottom bog

Sapphire slowly let go of grell before following him. She sighed and looked over to him, tears still in her eyes. She looked down at the ground as she talked "I thought you were dead..."

 

Embers got down from the tree, he started of to the cave he had seen, he smiled

Grell hugged her again and wiped away her tears "it'll take a kit more then that to kill me" grell days he kissed her head "I promise I'm not going to leave you alone sapphire I won't do It" grell hugged her close wanting to stop her tears he couldn't stand to see her cry

@, @, @@Waterfall, (Welcome to the story, sorry to throw you right into the action but it's going to be a little sink or swim Roleplaying here of the bat the diamond dogs all around you are a breed of disgusting and gross ones that love vile things they aren't very strong but the poisons and smells around them are dangerous. You can control their actions when fighting them, I only ask you do not control the alpha or seer of the pack)

 

Laughter rang out from the seer's tree, "oh my goodness! Luna I don't remember you being so funny millennia ago! I must say you two aren't begging but you're much more fun than this sorry lot has been." Roots rose out of the water raising a cage that had been submerged in the muck. The cage was made of the roots as well and had been sunk in such a way that the three sludge covered ponies inside of it must have been struggling just to get air. "These three were almost no fun at all! Well the fire one kept trying to burn my roots but they don't burn, too many gems grown into the bark, make them almost impossible to cut too and speaking of gems..." A large crystal rose up out of the sludge on the opposite side of the cage, inside it seemed to be a trapped pony, "... This pony in a crystal is a hell of a decoration! I think I'll start putting all ponies in dirty little crystal once I drain the powers out of your little daughters!"

 

The whole tree seemed to shake with the laughter from the seer, "so you want to repeat that threat? You think that any of you pathetic ponies are a threat to me?! That you can kill me?!"

 

Wanderlust took that moment to realize he didn't need to do something as hard as control all the roots restraining them, all he had to do was kill the one little flower sitting on Luna's horn and he did.

 

As the flower suddenly wilted Luna felt her powers return to her, "yes I think we can." She formed a sudden bubble around herself pushing back the roots and slipping free. She sent a spell out creating a similar bubble in the bars of the cage bending them to create a hole large enough for the ponies inside to escape through and a beam at the crystal which began to crack breaking apart to free the pony inside.

 

"FIGHT!" She yelled, "fight our lives depend on it!" The alpha of the pack charged at her, glowing runes beginning to shine through his rusted and grime covered armor.

Steel flew with Great speed not caring I Anypony was following him Luna was in danger and could die at any moment he broke through just as Luna set the ponies free he landed in front if Luna Astrid had he dagger raised along with steel they would fight as one

《See? You can see little tiny clouds of Mom's aura right over there!》Willow was carrying Melody on her back, flying behind Steel. "Yes, I see them. And you see how they are spinning? Mom is using magic. That can't be good." Melody stayed low and whimpered; she was afraid of heights and the new filly. "Faster! We need to get to Mom! Something is happening; and it is probably bad!"

 

Willow landed right behind Steel, and stumbled in surprise. "Diamond Dogs! Seriously! I thought we had taken care of you!"《Diamond... Dogs...? *whimper*》Willow ran to Luna's side and her wings burst into flames. Melody yelped and jumped straight onto Luna's back, and then jumped nervously to the ground. 《Um, sorry.》

" Astrid blade barrier around Luna and her filled " steel said Astrid nodded and teleported to Luna's back summoning a wall of whirling blades around Luna willow and melody Anypony that touched it would become minced meat even if it was just a hoof or paw they would be pulled in

Melody yelped again, and hid under Princess Luna. The knives cut off a little of her tail, and it floated onto her nose. 《My tail is so silky!》 She muttered, and continued to whimper, while Willow sighed, rolled her eyes and stepped back, avoiding the fate that had befallen Melody. "Sheesh... so much knives involved in everything."

"Oh?! Ho ho ho! Now this is fun! You had back up, and look the little fillies I was so dying to meet." The seers voice carried out form the trees canopy though he still did not show himself. "Alpha Filth, and my wonderfully sweet stinking pack of grimy dogs... KILL THEM ALL!"

 

The alpha in his rusted armor charged at steel, runes had begun to glow all over him and on his dull edged great axe.

 

Roots sprung up from the dirty water getting in the way of the knives, the diamonds and gems embedded in them preventing the knives from cutting them cleanly and instead redirecting them inward at Astrid and Luna.

Steel brought up his daggers "surrender or die" steel said you could hear the anger in his voice he just got Astrid back and already she wa in a life or death situation

(Oh sorry I missed that she was on Luna's back, well the roots aren't breaking them flat out more just smacking them out of orbit towards other targets but if they disappear when that happens then the roots are merely going to dive through and attack them directly)

 

Alpha Filth didn't bother to respond, his speed increasing due to the runic magic he swung his great axe forward determined to cleave Steel in half.

Embers had stoped and turned around when he thought about how willow was still ok, he sighed and turned around. He looked down at his book, slowly opening it as he followed the group a few yards back, staring at the drawings. Was the whole reason he had joined the group for steel? Only steel had what he needed

Wanderlust suppressed crying out knowing that if he did there was no way he'd be able to get his breath back. He could hear his own ribs groan and creak as the roots tightly wrapped around him had started squeezing him. The amount of power he was drawing in from nature was the only thing keeping the roots from breaking his ribs and crushing him in an instant.

 

He could feel the swarming buzz that was Mother Nature starting to eat away at the edges of his mind but he knew he couldn't withdraw from it or his death was assured anyways. He barely squeaked out a hushed whisper, "help... Somebody help, please." It was strained as he struggle to breath and he wondered if anyone would even hear him.

Lost Flame heard him and went to him. Trying to help him. She used her dagger and started cutting the roots. Trying to help him the best she could. She used her magic to try and keep the roots from wrapping around her to and to stop from squeezing him to death.

More roots seem to spring up coiling and writhing out of deep in the muck. They started to come one after another after another striking at Lost Flame the tips of the roots sharp spikes seeking to drive deep into her and to suck her dry of fluids and to keep her away from Wanderlust who had now gained enough space to be wriggling through though the roots kept seeking to coil around him again and again.

Astrid kept her focus but the barrier was still shrinking in "willow I need your help your magic is strong enough to hold This spell till it's safe" Astrid said

Steel waited till the last second then flipped back throwing three throwing knives at the alpha

Lost Flame kept fighting now trying to free herself and wonderlust. She felt the spikes was keeping them away from herself. She was fighting now not only to save wonderlust but for their lives as well. She was determined to keep fighting and not give up.

The alpha did not dodge the knives, they sunk deep into his back but they did not stay lodged in him nor did he bleed. Instead they shot back out of him propelled backwards as with a hiss as a green gas poured out from the wounds spraying towards Steel. The gas was a horrible mixture of posions and acid, corrosive to anything it touched and yet as much pain and damaged it caused it would easily also lull an opponent to sleep and surly kill them once they drifted off. The big brute of an alpha turned to look at Steel a huge smile on his underbitten jaw, "you can't kill me pony, soon you won't be able to touch me and the air you breath will kill you." He charged and leapt at Steel again, swinging his great axe and trailing bellowing clouds of the terrible gas.

 

The roots continued their assault on Lost Flame still trying to keep her away from Wanderlust as he struggled again the roots, he was able to keep them at bay, his magic of nature had allowed him to steal control of a single root and was using it now to defend himself against the others. It seemed to be working well as the roots didn't seem to know how to fight a rouge root. Three of the diamond dogs fom the pack had crept behind Lost Flame and attempted to jump her, they all weilded rusty swords.

 

The roots seemed to give up on deflecting the twirling blades that Astrid shielded herself and Luna with and instead tried to simple dive through and impale the princess and filly. Luna managed two well aimed shots of magic at the tips of the roots and the magic raced down the already worn roots blowing them apart. Still two more roots were racing toward them.

 

The roots and dogs seemed to be leaving Willow and Melody alone and ignoring them entirely. Though the reason for this May have become more clear as the magic stared to drain from the two. The seer had begun to try and steal away their powers and magic.

Astrid was slowly losing her magic steel held held his breath -Luna you need to get out if here quickly take care of Astrid for me- steel sent the thought to Luna as dodged the ax he pulled ou his hell blade it was a dagger with a glowing pentagram on it and the blade was ringed by hell fire

Luna thought back at Steel, 'I assume this filly is Astrid? Well if you think I can just run away I can't. This pack is too dangerous and we need to end them.' She dodged one of the remaining roots coming in but the second still glanced her leaving a gash on her back, she cried out but then turned in anger and her magic blasted the root shattering it by blowing out the gems and shredding the wood.

 

 

"Fancy little blade won't help you now pony," the alpha growled. He was moving as a blur and was now in front of Steel swinging his axe down in a huge overhead strike.
