Seth was trying to think how to word his next phrase. "Well, basically Luna sent me a letter a few days ago saying I was summoned to go to the griffon kingdom with her on a diplomatic conference again. Her request! Needless to say I was thrilled. I sort of have a little crush on her.

 

"Back on topic, so after the incident with the neck thing, the docs message Celestia that I was injured. She just told me that she wishes that I get well soon and that Luna has left for the empire. I was supposed to be there with her and get my old diplomatic career back. That one job would have me in Canterlot castle as royal diplomat. I was about to leave when I got back from the hospital. Now, I'm here, for good."

sole thought for a moment "griffon kingdom huh... Want some help getting there?" He offered, before smiling "don't wanna brag, but I'm pretty fast. Wonder bolts don't have anything on me. So how about it? Want me to fly you there?" He asked cheerfully, waiting for an answer.

"your kidding, right?" Seth asked, looking up from his moping. He wasn't trying to sound rude, but he just couldn't believe his ears. He could be going to see Luna. Finally, after all this time, he could go to his potential love. 

 

"If you were able to do that, I would owe you with my life."

Sole grinned "say no more." He said, before suddenly wrapping his arms around the wolf and shooting out a nearby window. As they reached the outdoors, sole's large wings shot open and carried them high into the sky and away in the blink of an eye. Soon the telltale sound of a sonic boom resounded as sole flew at breakneck speeds to the griffon kingdom.after a few minutes of flying, they landed outside a large castle "well, here's the griffon kingdoms Capitol. If you hurry I think you'll make it. And tell luna I said hi." He said cheerfully

Seth could hardly breath. He has just flown across an entire nation in less then a few minutes. 

 

"No offence, but what... the...WOLVEN HELL did we just do?" Seth asked, not moving a single step from where he was dropped off. After a few seconds of his mind catching up with him, Seth turned to Sole, expecting an answer. We wasn't mad in the least, he just had a mini panic attack from his fear of heights.

Sole tilted his head curiously "what's the matter? Scared of heights or something?" He asked, before shrugging " ah, never mind. Just hurry up and get to that meeting thing before ya miss it." He said with a chuckle, before sighing. "I'll be out here resting if ya need me, I need a break after that trip." He said

Seeing how this day was already crazy enough, Seth ignored all logical reasoning and walked though the gates. 'So far logic was throne out the window, so why not let it keep flying' He thought. The guards didn't give him any grief, as it seemed they remembered him from the first time he was here for a diplomatic conference. After navigating down the large passageways and getting some odd glances from the local staff, Seth finally made it to the main conference halls. 

 

Preparing himself for the unexpected, Seth pushed open one of the door. He was not prepared for what he saw: a real debate. Last time he was here it ended with the most unusual drinking contest and the high king passing out. Now, every griffon and pony was sober, and staring at him.

 

'OK, just stay cool. Act like you belong here' Seth coaxed himself. 

 

"Sorry I'm late, I was momentarily delayed." The slightly panicking wolf explained.

 

After a few seconds of awkward glances amongst the diplomats, beads of sweat formed on Seth's brow. Finally, a pony stood up.

 

"I expected you to be here sooner, Seth, we were wondering if you were going to show up at all." Called Luna from the far side of the table, a hint of a smile tugging at one cheek. Seth walked over to the reserved seat and took his place. After he sat down the conference began again. Three minutes in, Luna leaned over and whispered to the wolf.

 

"If I may ask, how in Equestria did you get here?"

 

"I got here by the assistance of a griffon named Sole. He wanted for me to give you his greeting." Seth replied in a whisper. "How did you know I was going to show up?"

 

Luna let a small laugh slip out. "You were always a wolf to stick to the plan and make sure everything went well. Plus, I knew you wouldn't want to miss out on a night with the griffons, especially after last time if you catch my drift."

 

"I remember. Why did you want me to-"

 

Luna cut Seth off. "I was not in the finest mindset. Plus, what happens in diplomatics stays in diplomatics."

 

The night continued rather smoothly. When the meeting was adjourned, Seth brought the princess out to meet Sole.

 

"Sole, I brought a friend of yours" Seth called out to the sleeping griffon.

Sole yawned and stood up "I'm not sleeping, just resting." He said, before seeing luna with the wolf. "Oh, hey luna. It's been a while. I like what you've done with your mane." He said jokingly, before bowing lazily. He was so use to being around royalty that it lost all prestige, that and he and luna were old friends.

Seth suppressed a laugh, watching the griffon's presentation. "Well, I'll let you two catch up. If any of you  need me, I will be in my quarters." Seth said as he excused himself and returned to the castle. Half way to the guest rooms, Seth flagged down a griffon guard.

 

"Excuse my interruption, but if you could guild me to my quarters, I would be most pleased." 

 

The guard looked rather puzzled. "You don't... have a room. Since you were not assigned on the board of representatives, you were not given a room. That is of coarse you are planning to stay with the princess again."

 

"I am... Could you point me in the right direction?" Seth asked.

 

"Down the hall, last door on the right."

 

Seth thanked the guard and was on his way. Getting to the room, Seth facepawed. 'Well, guess this will be like the first trip all over again.I just hope Sole never hears a word of this'

"I-i-i... u-uh-umm..." She stuttered again, giving a sheepish grin, and blushing. She coughed a little, trying to hide her embarrassment. "Y-yah, we sould go for a walk in the park. Th-the sky always looks so beautiful at this time of night."

She nuzzled Shamrock back.

Sole was quiet for a while, not really sure what to say. After a moment luna giggled "your much quieter then usual. I haven't seen much of you since you and your father were freed a short while ago. How've you been old friend?" She asked happily, as sole shrugged. "Ah, not much. I took up mercenary work..." He said shortly, as luna rolled her eyes "don't you hold out on me sole. I've heard you got married to stone heart. IS it true she is with child?" Luna asked, causing sole to blush "uh... Maybe... But enough about my personal life, I hope things between you and your sister are okay." He said, quickly changing the subject "aye, all is well. Well, I think I'm going to find Seth now. Would you like to accompany me?" She asked, sole just shrugged in response " sure, nothing better to do." He said

Seth was in the room (which compared to his old house in Ponyville, this looked like a mansion.) looking over everything. He wasn't tired and wanted Luna to know about him sleeping here before she found him in bed. After his sightseeing was done, Seth decided to take a quick shower before Luna arrived. He wasn't going to try anything, he just rather not smell like a barkeeper in front of royalty.

 

'And because you want her to be your mate' Seth's conciseness mentally taunted him. 

 

"No, I just happen to smell like a drunken mule." Seth quipped back.

 

'But that still doesn't change your heart's desire.'

 

"No-well yes, but... Shut up." Seth said. He walked into the shower and turned on the water.

 

'Asking a friend to be your mate is a big thing for a wolf. But I guess you have been together for a year.' the concise muttered.

 

"One, those were diplomatic meeting, not dates. Two, just realizes that if she says no, you will be stuck with me moping for a month." This shut up his mind for the remainder of the cleaning.

 

When Seth finished, he got out and dried of himself and put on one of the two bath robes given to the room. He then walked into the kitchen and pored a glass of cold water and sat on a chair as he thought about all that happened that day.

 

(Just to say, the Luna thing is fine.)

Sole and luna made their way around the castle at a leisurely pace as they headed for Luna's room. According to her, Seth would most likely be there since he wasn't assigned a room. After hearing this sole made several jokes and kissy faces "honestly sole, I don't remember you being this immature. We're... Just friends." Sole chuckled " don't give me that, I know you like him. C'mon, I remember when you had a crush on crimson. I know how you act around somepony you like." He said, causing luna to glare at him with a light blush "d-don't think I won't tell stone about your inappropriate behavior. You'll be 'in the dog house' as they say." Sole chuckled "funny, I bet you'd like to be in the wolf house huh?" He joked, before running ahead cackling like mad as luna chased him angrily "I swear sole, sometimes you act so much like your father! Your both such trolls!" She whined playfully

Seth couldn't sit in the chair all night. For one, some pony or griffon was making such a racket on the level right below him. Instead, he walked over to the kitchen and opened the fridge to see what midnight snacking he could have before bed. He found a slice of white frosted cake, some griffon wine, a bowl of salad, some eggs, and an assortment of other cooking necessities. 'They really furnished this place well for diplomats.' Seth commented. He pulled out the wine and glass from the counter. After everything that happened today, he needed it. He returned to the chair and looked out upon the capital. 'It's good to be a wolf'

*Rests his head on your shoulder and sobs a few times*  I know bliss... I don't know why it's hitting me so hard but it is..*he closes his eyes and looks rather frail, he enjoys feeling her warmth again and smiles a little as she nuzzles back* I miss you so much too.... and Polaris... and night lights... *he lets out a loud sigh, a tear rolls down his cheek, splashing onto the ground, his head nods forward wearily, he shakes himself trying to wake up*  I'm sure your right though, she will be back soon enough *smiles still looking unsure of himself*  

 

*Keeps resting his head on her shoulder* Yeah I know how your feeling... This isn't a safe place to be, especially for a lone mare *Nuzzles against your cheek and smiles*  Don't worry sis, of course I will come with you to keep you safe, it's the least I can do for you   *Pulls himself up with a groan, brushing back his dirty looking mane, his stomach growls loudly, he looked up to the bar and saw the wolf was gone*  Guess their closed up for the night??   *Looks a little confused and nuzzles her again as he stands up very shakily* Comon, mine and Cal's home isn't far from here, you can stay there for as long as you need  *Fiddles with his hooves looking a bit sheepish* That if you want to of course..

Shamrock smiles and keeps leading them to the park while lightly leaning against her. "Back home we don't get many nights like this. Cause of all the lights, tall buildings and what not. But there's a park they build when Princess Luna came back. It's the only place in the city you can see the stars. I take walks there every night before a match."

(Seth needed to get to the griffon kingdom to meet up with luna for a diplomatic mission, so sole flew him there. After the meeting, Seth went to his room to let luna and sole catch up. Now luna and sole are heading to Seth/Luna's room and making small talk on the way.)

 

The soon arrived at their destination and walked in "hey Seth, I think I'm gonna head back to ponyville soon. You and luna have fun." He said as they saw him, making luna glare at him. "Well, you seem to be in a hurry. Why the rush?" Luna asked him, and sole just shrugged "not rushing really, just wanted to give you two time alone." He said with a trollish smile, as luna blushed "why I never. How dare you imply such things!" She said, completely mortified. Sole just laughed "whatever, I'm bored now so I'll see you both later." He said, heading for the door.

 

(Sorry for him abruptly leaving, I really didn't know what else to do lol.)

*She smiled at his very welcome offer before looking again over her shoulder to see if others were staring at them...she couldn't quite grasp the confidence of walking in public knowing what she is* I'd love to do that Skylar...but my wings...*she actioned by pulling one of her wings out to show her primary feathers were in knots from over use and a mess, they haven't been groomed in ages!* Unless you can carry me all the way, or know of a carriage we can have that you can fly me on... we'd have to go by hoof. It's why I came to this tavern in the first place, to give my wings a break and to refresh myself.

 

*Suddenly while she was finishing the rest of her fruit, her horn began to glow abruptly, making her hoodie shoot back to her dismay* Oh no...not again not again!  *With a bright flash that lit up the entire tavern, making every being within look at their direction. Her horn and wings were abruptly exposed for a split second as a scroll with the Wyvern Dragon Seal attatched to it, fluttered down from a magical transfer...from the air to the table in front of her and Skylar.* Darn it all... what could it be this time? *She unrolled the scroll after throwing her hoodie over her head once more and read quietly so only she and Skylar could here*

My dearest daughter in-law and princess of Unity...

 

Forgive my sudden use in this magical letter exchange, but I wouldn't use it lightly as with our agreement if I didn't believe the Princess of Unity was needed on such a delicate matter.

 

Just outside the skirts of Ponyville, in the Evergreen forest, cousins of the Wyvern clans, are in need of assistance. Their nests have been constantly bombarded from attacks by the Diamond Dog packs that still run in those parts. Their leader of the pack, "Shard" has vowed to keep crushing our cousins eggs while they sleep or out collecting cave gems, till they leave their newly claimed territory. To retaliate against these aggressive actions, our cousins have hunted down several of their pack members, eating any who crossed their path. The fights are based off territories as far as I can tell...little is known other then the blood shed that has been going on nonstop between them...

 

Negotiations have failed for quite some time...My first cousin has had her first brood of eggs and she's been guarding them with her life for nearly a week now without food or rest. Her brood is safe for the time being, but she cannot hold out much longer, whilst the pack members have declined in numbers, and their pups who are innocent in the matter are being slaughtered.

 

I implore you Princess...daughter... that you find a way to create negotiations between our dragon cousins and the Diamond Dog Packs, or else more innocent lives will be lost, I look forward to getting your reply at your earliest convience.

*As she stopped with the letter her eyes teared up, she looked to Skylar knowing what had to be done now, despite her lathergy* I have to do this...or else more innocent lives will be lost Skylar...

*He looks stunned for a few seconds, he shakes his head, the news snaps him out of his current state, his ears perk up and he looks almost fully alert*  *Looks down at the letter and back up her, frowning slightly, he leans into her and nuzzles*  I guess it looks like we haven't got a choice, this sounds pretty urgent and they need you Blissy *She tilts her head in confusion hearing 'we', he grins and nips her nose playfully* You don't think im letting you go on your own do you?  Besides it's been to long since I've done anything adventurous     

 

*Brushes her mane gently, looking concerned how lethargic she looked, he helps her up gently, holding his side against hers to help support her* Thats it, take it easy,  *Grins at here trying to disguise his own weariness, he walks with her over to the bar and places a few bits on the counter for the bartenders return, turns around and helps her through the door, making sure her wings and horn are tucked beneath her hoodie. Stops outside to let a few young colts run past then he turns and looks both ways, unsure where to go*  I'm not too familiar with where we need to go... Mind leading the way  *Nudges her gently*

You really have changed Skylar... *she smiled at him despite his feelings for missing Callette...he still could make room to be worried for her as well. She let him help her come down off her chair, leaning up against him so she could pull her hood and cape over her closely as they approached the door* So quick to go on missions now? Oh but you were always quick to missions back in the day...but this isn't just a mission you know...its dangerous...its dragons we're talking about here, ones I've never met before, I don't even know what Evergreen dragons look like...and I don't think I've ever incountered a Diamond Dog before either...I can only put my trust in my abilities of negotiation...My powers it seems...they only seem to react when I need them on instinct alone...There are times I get the hang of it and it cooperates when I need it but... *she sighed as he opened the door, making her blow back from the cold gush of wind. She felt a hoof of his wrap around her to keep her close to him as two young colts came running in passed them, making her grab her hood and pull it even further in front of her face*

 

*The walked out into the cool night air, keeping their heads down and forward* My point...*she continued* I don't want you to get hurt because of me...You must promise me you'll take care of yourself during the proceedings... I truely don't know what is going to happen when we get there... *They stopped a moment so that she could gather her barrings* Seems I am gonna have to figure out which way to go though, not sure in what direction the Evergreen forest is...and I hope you don't mind traveling on hoof *squee*

 

*She concentrated for a moment, focusing on the emotions within a one mile radisu...she could sense the drunken bitterness of a few ponies within the tavern...to the chitter chats of squirrls in the trees as they scurried into their homes for the night. Then...out faintly in the distant...her horn seemed to glow in reaction....* Pain...*she whispered next to him* I sense...great pain...fear...anger...A surge for battle...It's coming from that way *she pointed to a large group of trees in the distance just under the moonlight* That's got to be the border entrance to the Evergreen forest.. *she walked ahead keeping her horn lit so they could see into the forest* Stay...stay-s-stay close *she shook with fear knowing what other beings lived in this forest* ...to me bro... Just because I'm an alicorn don't make me a confident one...*her ears flickered back and forth under her hood, her tail extended out like a propeller, reading for her to run at the first sight of danger*

 

*The tree canopy above them soon blocked out the moonlight the further they pushed on...the branches seemed to reach out to both ponies, wanthing to grab them...Vines were heavy and entangled, occassionally that they'd have to fight their way through in order to make a path through. All sorts of creatures echoed their songs into the night, making them sweat with nervousness.*

After a long day of working Brechard decides to have go out for a couple drinks. Instead of the usual night club he decides to go to a pub, The Headless Horse. " I think i'll only have a couple." He walks to the bar. " Hello sir, can i have four of your strongest drink." (will hopefully post a longer one tomorrow).

Sole yawned as he flew back to the tavern, going much slower since he wasn't in a hurry this time. After a while he finally made it back to equestria, but he began to get bored again. "Hmm... Maybe if I go back to the tavern then something cool will happen again." He thought, as ponyville came into view.

*He looks around nervously as the trees creek and moan in the strong gusts of icy wind whipping about the forest. His eyes dart around and he flinches as a couple of rabbits burst out into the open being pursued by a red colored fox, disappearing as fast as they had appeared* *Takes a deep breath trying to still himself, he can sense the same fear in her and he knows he has to try and stay brave not just for himself but for her as well*

 

Do you have any idea where we are?  *He stumbles over a long vine trailing across the floor, almost falling over he regains his balance and shakes a little, sweat trickles down the side of his body and his leg, his pupils dilute slightly out of fear as he gazes around*  *Pauses for a second deep in thought*  I remember this place... *He a familiar yew tree and puts a hoof on it, withdrawing it a trail of slim drips from his hoof, he grimaces slightly and flicks it, splashing it onto the ground* When I was a Colt... After my parents decided to abandon me... or more like my father.. *sighs and carries on*  I was forced to fend for myself for about a month or so in this forest.... Eating the fruits and drinking from the streams... it was so.... different....  *Plucks down an apple from a nearby branch, it disintegrates in his hoof, turning to black mush, the stench making him crinkle up his nose*    

 

*Looks back at her, his bottom lip trembling a little, every sense screaming at him to run, he notices her stood still in some sort of trance, the white mare stands there seemingly frozen, her eyes scrunched up in focus and horn glowing slightly. He had seen the look before and guessed she was trying to pinpoint the exact location of the disturbance, he stood close to her taking care not to actually touch. His heart thudded in his chest as he gazed around and cold sweat ran down the center of his back, suddenly his ears perked up hearing a twig snap* 

 

*His mane stands on end hearing a deep growl from behind them, he slowly turns on the spot to stare deep into the yellow pair of eyes some ten feet away, gazing out from behind a dense overgrown bush. The large dark grey timber wolf pushed it's snout further out and fixed him with it's icy stare, snarling and bearing it's teeth, saliva oozing out of the sides of it's mouth and dripping onto the ground.  Skylar backed off a little, his tail and mane sparking up instinctively as fear clawed at his heart and mind, he turned to look at the defenseless mare behind him and turned back to the wolf, taking a few steps forward, meeting it's stare*   :okiedokielokie:

 

*The Pegasus and the wolf stare at each other for several seconds before the Wolf starts circling around, stepping sideways out of it's hiding place and stalking around him, not breaking it's gaze for a second, it lunged forward a few feet and stopped as Skylar cracked his tail towards him, the lightning whipping through the air causing it to crackle. The wolf took a few steps back, sizing up the potential reward and threat of his prey. Slowly it sank back into the murk and gloom, it's yellow eyes never ceasing to stare until it was out of sight* 

 

*Lets out a small sigh and lowers his guard for a second, starting to turn back to Bliss who was now starting to come back around. As he opens his mouth to speak the timber wolf bursts out from a bush on the other side of him and slams into his side, barking and snarling as it pinned him to the ground, it's yellow hateful eyes staring down at him, it slathered madly all over him*  

 

*Skylar looked panicked as he tried to keep the beast at bay , he shot a look over to Bliss seeing she still hadn't fully snapped out of her trance, The wolf lunged at his throat, he managed to throw his leg in the way, the wolfs jaws snapped down on it for a second making him whinnie in pain before he instinctively lashed out with his tail, the force and energy slicing into the wolfs side, blood splatters out staining the ground red, it's eyes roll back in it's head as it collapses back off of him and slumps into the mossy ground, twitching slightly as it died* 

 

*He lies there stunned for a second, panting and sweating heavily, he cringes and examines the puncture wounds in his leg, he flexes it gently and winces feeling the pain, though he knows nothing is broken. The drops of blood patter gently onto his fur as he licks the wound clean, he lies on his side to try and conceal it from her though he knows she his bound to find out. Her curses under his breath, thinking quickly he takes a large doc leaf and some vines, he begins winding it around his leg, gasping and screwing his eyes shut as he does*

Ambiance, looking at the night sky, then closed her eyes. She leaned against Shamrock, she felt as though she didn't have to look. She would never be led astray. She felt safe.

"D-detrot... wh-what's it like there? I've heard it's a really beautiful city... I'd love to go there someday."

"It is. Sure it's not as glamorous as Canterlot or Manehattan. But it's grand in its own way. And on my block, everyone treats each other like family. Everyone comes to my gym to train or workout. I give free boxing lesions to the kids. And on Sundays I like to cook a big meal for everyone on the block. Just like family." She gives a happy sigh and curls her tail around Ambiance's.
