My Little Pony Repression is an animated series inspired by Rainbow Factory with a pilot episode in production providing a long, completely canon-consistent, dark backstory for most characters in FiM. To shorten it, 30 years before the events of FiM, Rainbow Dash and Fluttershy toppled the government of Princess Celestia's delegate to Cloudsdale, and created a Nazi state. They ordered the construction of the factory of rainbows and used kidnapped earth ponies, at first contestants at the Equestria Games, to power it. Ponyville retaliated, and to escape issues with Princess Celestia both cities kept knowledge of the war from her. Celestia eventually intervened, as did Discord. Twilight lived in Canterlot during this time, where the war was kept secret from the populace for their own safety and where, by the present day, history was officially rewritten to place the war hundreds of years in the past.

I've gotten positive feedback (there's an older, unorganized, obsolete thread) from a lot of people who are just waiting for this to happen. That can't be done, however, unless we have enough volunteers. Think of the potential viewers.

 

If you're interested, we need a few extra voice actors, and also a backup animator as our current one is having serious technical issues with Flash. We could also use a person to resolve copyright issues, since we have no idea how to go about doing that; however, this isn't necessarily needed because there is a little loophole called fair use as a parody. A full list of current staff and open positions is here.

 

Discussion among producers is held in the invitational private message system. Once it has been determined that you are going to help and what you are going to do, you'll be given access. This thread is exclusively for recruitment.
