River giggled a little at Galatea's declaration, and continued on with her little "air show", forming loops for Galatea to fly through, despite being minus one object.

 

Nano had answered the question for Patterson, so he turned back to River and Galatea, when he heard Shardz' question.

 

River: "It's uh, my special talent."

 

Pat: "She has a cutie mark to show it(Patterson said pointing). She has so much raw power in telekinesis, but she is physically incapable to perform any other sort of spells. It's all due to invasive tampering from when she was experimented on in the past. It's a long story."

"Thats amazing!" Shardz, was impressed. She had a smile.

"Tis a great talent." She said, and nodded."Telekinesis, is a great skill to have. i hardly use it. I have healing spells, but they are tricky to use.."

She said, with a nervous smile.

After hearing about how close to her home she was, lost couldn't help but smile. She wanted to turn around and thank Nano for helping her get a better idea of where she was, and then take her leave; but she couldn't help but notice the sad expression on the robot's face. It seemed to stare at the filly version of Galatea.

 

Lost started to mumble, "It's not really my problem...is it? I mean, I wanted to see if she was cared for and not in danger. She's in capable hooves. I'm allowed to leave now and plot my rev~" She noticed that she was speaking out loud again and silenced herself before she continued in her mind. Just before she touched the door though, Lost looked at Nano one more time as he stared at Galatea. "Then why do I still feel a little bad..."

 

Lost backed away from the door and started to make her way to Nano. "Um, I guessing you're not liking your creator like this?"

Galatea kicked her hind legs, as if swimming through the air, while still holding onto the object she had claimed as hers as she made her way through the loops River set up for her. The filly seemed to be enjoying herself, smiling brightly as she played. Nano looked over at River and Galatea, watching them. At least she was happy for the time being...

 

But he could do nothing. He was stuck standing idly by while the others kept the filly entertained. Perhaps he could try and work on that device, if no one else would. That is, if he could scrounge up any relevant knowledge on the thing from his internal memory banks. He wasn't as confident in working with such things; it wasn't his special talent like it was Galatea's. He... didn't really have a special talent, come to think of it.

 

The robot was pulled from his musings upon hearing Lost Thought's voice - though low, he still responded to the sound, if only instinctively: one of his ears swiveled towards her, even if he wasn't consciously processing what she was muttering to herself. It was only when she spoke to him that he actively turned his attention towards her.

 

After hearing the question, Nano's gaze flickered towards Galatea before returning to Lost Thought. "To be honest, I cannot really say that I do... She has lost her memory, and remembers only that which she could recall up to the point of her current physical age. In other words, she does not remember this laboratory, nor any of her creations... including myself. It is a... strange feeling, knowing that your creator does not recognize you." Nano shook his head sadly before saying, "At this point in time, she is not the pony I know as my creator..."

After a while, Virvidian came back, with an new brown bag.

It had, a sweet scent from the contents, and it looks like virvidian had waited a while to get this.

He arrived, and passed out a cupcake, to each of the ponies, One to shardz, One to River, One to Pat, and one to galatea, including one for himself.

"Oh!" He noticed lost.

"Hello there."

As Nano finished speaking, Lost couldn't help but look at Galatea once again. He was right, as a filly Galatea would never be able to tell the difference between nano and any other pony in the room. She carefully place a hoof over her heart, imagining what one of her own creations would do if she had ever forgotten about them.

 

She sniffled, "Well... at least more than three times a week... Actually I don't think they would care?" 

 

The moment her thought had finished, Lost finally realized why she found Nano unique. "He cares about his creator..."  She turned back towards Nano with a small amount of resolve in her eyes. She started to speak in an almost happy tone, and was actully smiling. "Well, I'm not sure how she became a filly; but I know for a fact that every scientific accident can be reversed."    

 

For some reason, Lost was in a great mood. She turned around and actually smiled when someone had said, "Hello," to her. She extended her hoof and said, "Hey!" ​@@Toon Richard,

Patterson said as he took the cupcake.

 

River: "Thank you."

 

River quietly thanked Virvidian as well for the treat.

 

"Mmmm, Chocolate..."

 

Pat said, drooling over the cupcake before chomping it whole. A little bit of the frosting splattered on River.

 

"Pat!"

 

River exclaimed, and smeared some frosting on Pat.

 

"Hey! You did that on purpose!"

 

Patterson retaliated, and they laughed as they fought, smearing frosting on each other's faces while blocking the other.

The moment young Galatea saw the cupcakes, she eagerly reached for one, readily dropping the object she had been holding onto. She grabbed the cupcake offered to her the moment it was in her reach. It was strange, though; as a grown mare, Galatea didn't much like chocolate or sweets in general. But as a filly... well, it seemed that most foals had a sweet tooth regardless.

 

Just as she was about to start munching on her cupcake, she noticed River and Pat playfully smearing chocolate frosting on one another. "Hey, I can do that, too!" she said with a giggle. But not being easily within reach of either of their faces, she tossed her cupcake in their general direction - only to realize shortly after that doing so meant she had no more cupcake to eat. She looked at her now-empty hooves, a pout forming on her face.

 

Meanwhile, Nano looked at Lost Thought once more, his attention especially drawn by her bright tone. Every scientific accident can be reversed... Nano realized how absolutely true that was, and it gave him a spark of hope. After all, this had been a scientific accident; surely it could be fixed! "I do happen to know what turned her to a filly," the robot said as he walked to the worktable. Placing a hoof on the offending device responsible for this entire scenario, he continued. "It was this device that had malfunctioned, turning her into a filly."

 

Returning his eyes to the mare, he then asked, "I don't suppose you might know anything about this...?"

Lost followed Nano as he led her to the worktable and immediately started to flip through her journal for anything she could use as a reference. After several minutes, Lost looked up from the pages in her book and bluntly said, "Nope." Then she carefully started to remove her bracelet, letting the once iron band spread out into a wrench. She started to softly smile again. "But there's always a place to start." She looked over towards Nano and asked, "Can you tell me a bit about how Gala~" Unfortunately, it seemed as though Lost had forgotten Galatea's name. "Your inventor worked this machine, and possibly what she was doing when things when haywire?"

"Thats very generous, of you cousin." She said to virvidian, who had a soft smile.

Virvidian left to get his own cupcake, yet again.

He exasperatedly sighed. He wanted to eat that..

River stood dumbfounded as she watched the cupcake slowly slide off of Patterson's face onto the floor. The fight had abruptly stopped when the cupcake hit, as they were both very surprised. Pat's eye was completely covered with frosting. River tried to help wipe the from frosting around Pat's eye.

 

Pat: "Y-yes very generous of you Virvidian."

 

He said as he wiped the frosting off of River's face.

A portal nearby opened and out came a green pegasus and a green changeling. "huh, I never remember this part of town..." said the Pegasus. "I hope we can meet Virvidian and Shardz again!" said the changeling excitedly with a smile. its been a while since they met and Ipkiss of course can't wait to see them.

The little filly grabbed the cupcake out of Virvidian's hoof almost before he'd extended it in an offer to her. She then happily started munching on the treat, too preoccupied to notice that the frosting fight with River and Pat had come to a stop. Notably, Galatea hadn't even bothered to say 'thank you' for Virvidian's generous offering, instead taking it for granted. Such was the way of a spoiled young filly.

 

"Galatea," Nano gently reminded Lost Thought of Galatea's name when he noticed that it had seemed to slip the mare's mind. She seemed mildly forgetful, but Nano had observed that most ponies do forget things from time to time and that it was a fairly normal thing. "She had been making adjustments here, I believe," he went on to say, using his hoof to gesture at the exposed circuitry panel. "And I remember her saying something about the trigger mechanism misfiring..."

 

The robot tilted his head slightly as he looked at the mechanism in question, again pointing out what he was talking about with his hoof. Then almost immediately after, he nervously jerked his hoof back, as if simply having it near the part that had malfunctioned could somehow cause the thing to go off again. Given that the device had done it once, he wouldn't doubt that another accident could happen...

 

@@Toon Beth,

 

((OOC note: Galatea and the others are in the lab on the outskirts of Ponyville, but Virvidian went out to get another cupcake for himself, if you'll read above a couple of posts. Perhaps your characters could run into Virvidian, Beth?))

As virvidian was returning, He bumps into beth, and ipkiss.

"Oh! Hello, beth. Ipkiss."

He said, with a smile, and a bag, with a cupcake in it.

"So, How are you? Its been a while." 

With shardz, inside the building.

She did a sneeze.

She knew, that if she had a allergic reaction, its either a changling, or ipkiss.

"One of my friends is near."

"oo cupcakes!" said Ipkiss as she looked at the cupcakes. She reached a hoof to grab one but it was slapped away by Beth. "no ipkiss, you know what happens if you get a sugar high. " said Beth as Ipkiss crossed her hooves and pouted. "well we have been doing good. We are just dropping in, just to know how ya doin." said Beth with a smile.

When Nano pointed to where Galatea had been making adjustments, Lost was surprised to see such a complicated interior design. What seemed seemed to interest her most about this machine had to be a small flashing light on the inside. "I wonder? He said that it was broken, but the device seems to still be functioning." She set aside her wrench and started to think about the possibly of~

 

"And I remember her saying something about the trigger mechanism misfiring..."

~

 

...It didn't lost too long for Lost to piece together what was about to happen. Her eyes slowly started to follow the direction Nano's hoof was pointing, and she watched horror as his hoof slightly pulled back. It was aimed directly at the small metal board she had rested her wrench on. "..." She became too scared to move or speak and just tilted her head back up. She could see the red light blinking rapidly. "...!"

 

She panicked and tried to ducked out of the way~ (I will let you decide this miss reaper)

Nano glanced over at Shardz when she sneezed, briefly curious about what she said about knowing that one of her friends was near. But he hardly had time to wonder about how she knew such as the robot brought his attention back to the device before him. He looked at it worriedly for a minute or two, clearly very anxious about whatever issue it had.

 

Then he realized that Lost Thought had set her wrench right on the trigger mechanism. His pupils shrank in horror as the device started emitting a quick succession of beeps, charging up energy. The device was about to have another misfire, and he knew it.

 

"Everypony, duck!" he cried out in alarm; the last thing he wanted was anyone else to be effected as Galatea had been when this happened for the first time. Though the device wouldn't affect Nano in the least, him being a robot, he still ducked out of instinct as the device randomly fired off a beam of light. There was little he knew about the full effects of the device, so he didn't know how it would affect another pony were it to hit them, and he didn't look to see which direction it had fired.

 

(( OOC: So the device has gone off again, oh noes! But I'm going to let you decide whether or not the beam hits your character, and the effects can be whatever you can come up with should you decide to allow your character to be affected! Just let me know if you do plan to have your character affected in the OOC thread; there's only one beam, so one character can only be affected - though of course, the beam could end up just missing everypony, too~ ))

Patterson quickly questioned, when he heard Nano yell. He was trying to make sure that he had gotten the last bit of frosting off of his face. He was suddenly and unwillingly pulled down to the floor by River, who had already bailed out of her wheelchair and "hit the deck".

'Oh no...' Shardz thought, as her luck wasn't very good. She was the one that was hit. She was shrunk to about the hieght of applebloom, and looked just as old.

She was disorented from the beam a little bit.
"Is it just me, or is the room Growing?" She said, in a sarcastic remark.

Lost was relived to see the red beam firing over her head. She was happy that she was able to keep her, mildly aged, earth pony form; and she felt overjoyed to just simply look at her hooves, knowing that they were exactly as how she left them... She noticed a small imprint of her bracelet and remembered... "You've got to be kidding me..."

~

 

Lost Thought just just couldn't seem to catch a break. Immediately after the beam fired, Lost reach over the table and removed her wrench from the triggering mechanism before another accident could happen again. She paid little attention to where the beam had fired and started to slowly back away from the device. Even though she was certain that it wouldn't fire again, she had wanted to take the extra precaution. 

 

When she thought it was safe, Lost started to make her way towards the door and hoped to silently leave.

After he was certain that the beam was cleared and everything had settled, Nano slowly straightened himself back up into a standing position. "Is... Is everypony alright?" he asked, glancing around at each pony in the room. At first he thought everyone was fine - then he spotted Shardz. His ears folded down at once, his expression turning to one of shock and dismay. "Oh, no..."

 

Meanwhile, Galatea looked around, mildly confused as to why everyone was suddenly ducking. Then her young filly mind reasoned that it was a game of Simon Says. "Ha, he didn't say 'Simon says'! That means I win!" she stated, jumping up and down a little at her imagined victory.

 

Then she looked over at Shardz, who suddenly seemed much shorter. "Wow!" the filly exclaimed. "You got smaller! Like, a lot smaller! How'd you do that?" She looked at Shardz, her large golden brown eyes filled with curiosity and intrigue.

 

(( OOC: Galatea is still a bit smaller than Shardz at this point, considering that she is actually younger than Applebloom (and Shardz is apparently Applebloom size now). ))

Patterson had finally realized what was happening, and as soon as things quieted down he got up, and then helped River back into her wheelchair. Then he heard Nano exclaim in dismay, and he quickly looked around the room to find the cause of his distress. When his eyes rested upon the blue filly nearby his first reaction was,

 

Pat: "Oh colt! Where did this filly come from? As if we didn't have enough trouble already. And where did Shardz go-Oooh..."

 

The realization hit him like a smack upside the head. No, wait. That's River.

Shardz laughed, and smiled, when river hit pat.

"Hahahaha!!" She snickered. "Thats hilarious!" She said, with a chuckle. She then turned to Nano, who had a face close to pure shock.

"You alright nano?" She said, wondering whats the matter.

 

Meanwhile, with Ipkiss, Beth and virvidian..

"What was that?!" He said. "That sounded like lazer fire!" He had a scared and nervous look.

"Ipkiss, Before we enter, Change into a form that wont scare a filly."

"okie dokie!" said Ipkiss as she transformed into a green Fluffy Pony."Come on ;lets go see if we can go help them" she says and knocked, she tried opening the door, but it was locked, with a pass code "Huh, hey virvidian you know the entrance code?" said Beth as she looked at the door.
