Shadow was shocked when he felt Firelight pick him up suddenly and started running down the alley. Shadow directed them to the left flowing them into the crowd. He then directed them down two alleys before stopping at a solid brick wall. Shadow let out a small fireball that went into a hole in the wall before growing in size and it lit some lighting a strange pattern. The bricks moved apart and opened to a hidden stairwell, Shadow motioned for the group to head down the stairs. The bricks closed as they headed down at the end was a steel door with a magic seal. Shadow hopped off and limped inside, it was a quaint little place having saved up the money to have it built in secret. "This is my safe house make yourselves comfortable until nightfall and then we'll move. Equinox I'm not sure how I feel about you yet but I'll trust you enough to patch me up if you'd like."

Firelight trotted inside the safe house with Sky clinging to him in nervousness. He looked around at his surroundings. It seemed comfortable enough. It was way more appealing than the cell he had been in for the last year. But right now there was only one thing he really wanted. He turned to Shadow and said "Do you have a shower here?"

"Listen...I have a split personality or a different side known as Deranged" Equinox started on getting the bullet out and once he did he used his magic to stem the bleeding. He used more of his magic to get some bandages to wrap the wound. "It's a curse that I hate having but I deal with it...it makes people think I'm crazy...I'm not crazy but Deranged...well you can tell when he is talking by the change in tone of my voice" Equinox explained

Shadow nodded and pointed in the direction off to the right at a wooden door. "There are towels in the cupboard inside, and extra wash supplies as well." Shadow winced when he felt Equinox tending to his wound. "I kinda caught that back at the arena...it's quite the curse. But one could also play it off as a blessing in the right situations...such as the one at the arena. Anyway thanks for the help both there and here I appreciate it." Shadow levitated his gear onto a hanging wall hook and headed towards his room. "Like I said make yourselves at home. The couch pulls out to a mattress, come nightfall we leave without delay." Shadow shut the door behind him, laying down on his bed he slowly drifted off to remember the fun he use to have with his little sister.

For a long long while now, in a cottage hidden in a hillside deep in the Everfree forest, Patterson Rio Tacitus, and his adopted sister, River Serene, have remained in hiding. They have tried to keep a low profile, although Patterson has wanted to stand up and do something to bring freedom and justice to all the poor oppressed citizens. But against his better judgement, he has remained hidden, as the opposition is to great a force to be reckoned with. And to stand alone, would be meaningless suicide. He instead decides to remain alive and well in order to fight another day. If that day will ever come...

Firelight nodde his thanks at Shadow and walked through the wooden door. He closed it behind him nd stared a moment at the glorious shower. Ht hen turned on the hot waater and almost giggled. He jumped in and proceeded to wash off almost a years worth of grime and blood. It felt soo amazing. After he felt he was clean he just stood there and enjoyed the water on his body. Out in the other room, Sky sat on the couch and waited nervously for Firelight to come back out.

Equinox kept his aura on the wound as he got what he wanted and started to clean the wound

River: "Pat! (she yelled out from the kitchen) We're out of milk again. (she said while peering in the refrigerator) And I think we need more light bulbs."(just then the fridge light burned out)

 

Pat: "We can't just keep making trips into town every week it's dangerous out there. Especially since the last time we went I knocked one of the "peace keepers" senseless for harassing an old stallion who was slowing the lines down. It's chaotic out there, and I want to do something for the ponies, but I just can't, not alone. But nopony would stand with me out of fear of being overpowered easily, being the only ones. And why should they? I am hardly a leader, and I surely don't appear as a sign of any hope for this land. Something must be done, but I am powerless!!" *Crash* (A light socket crashes down in front of them from its loose fixture on the ceiling) *sigh* "We'll go in fifteen minutes."

 

Patterson left to get ready. River stood for a few seconds, pondering her brother's dismay. She picked up the broken light socket and bulb, and went off as well.

Blaze grabbed his sword from the air and the room he was in shook while the screams of the damned flooded around the walls "It would have been wise to let me die, I won't hold back this time, the cost of lives will not hold my ferocity back" Blaze wasn't whole anymore he was robotic, something that shouldn't exist on a planet such as this, a cyborg. Blaze was eager to fight Shade once more to show him that his tricks were imcompetent and despicable, Shade fought like a rat and he was one to scared to fight face to face he diss speared after he killed an enemy to scared of confrontation

"First let's check out the Arena" Shade said as He walked in and was slightly overwhelmed by all the noise. he could tell there were fighters going at it but didn't pay attention to it much.

Instead he looked at the doors that undoubtedly led to the pits. It was going to be a close range kill at this rate, more troublesome but still possible. Maybe he should frame one of the gladiators too, "It would take the heat off of me for a time". With the plan decided, Dead Eye descended into the pits.

Sometimes the threat of violence alone is a deterrent . By taking a life others can be preserved. Equinox followed that code think he was right to kill you if it meant keeping others alive" Flame said

Firelight turned off the water and shook himself, flinging off most of the water. He stepped out of the shower and grabbing a towel he finished drying himself off. He looked at himself in the mirror. He looked cleaner than he had in a long time. He looked at the scars on his body. He had stopped recieving injuries from the battles a few months ago. His opponents just stopped being good enough. But he still had a fair amount of scars. But only a few were on his face. He had one under his eye and one across the bridge of his snout. He smiled and turned away, walking out the door. Sky was waiting for him on the couch. She looked up and smiled at him as he walked over. Together they pulled out the bed and crawled under the blankets. Sky snuggled in close, resting her head on his chest. She inhaled deeply. He smelled clean. He kissed the top of her head and sighed. This was nice. They fell asleep like that, holding each other tightly.

Shadow tossed and turned in his sleep, he hadn't had a decent night's sleep in years. He woke up with a yelp, panting and sweating. He looked at the picture frame on his desk that had a torn picture with only Shadow and his sister. "I'm sorry...I wish I could've done something to save you." Shadow whipped away a few tears before checking the time. They had a few more hours before nightfall but for now he rolled over and did his best to go back to sleep.

Blaze pondered about his past about how when he was young he committed many crimes, some massacring his enemies to survive, over the years blaze was given a nickname Jack the Ripper Blaze tried to distance himself from his past, There's talk of a real Blaze, but there Is no real me, only an obstruction, something mechanical, even though you can shake my hoof and feel metal gripping yours and maybe you can even sense I distance myself from my past.... Jack The Ripper is always there

Equinox sighed as he was outside."Something isn't right..." He looked at his blade as it slowly cracked. "Of course...it's breaking slowly" He said as he saw a fait flame from afar. He decided to go to where the flame was at and what he saw was...

"Hello Equinox...it's been a while hasn't it..." Flame said. "H-how are you still-" "Alive? Oh you nearly killed me back then but hey thats in the past" Flame interrupted. Equinox drew out his katana. "I'm not here to fight...but I want to introduce somepony to you" Flame said

Shadow tried as hard as he could to get some sleep but the nightmares kept invading his mind. Shadow rolled over and looked up at the ceiling and let out a sigh. "Well so much for getting some sleep. I guess I'll go grab something to eat." Shadow stopped and looked at the picture frame on his nightstand. Inside was a torn family photo leaving only Shadow and his sister in the frame. Shadow opened the door and walked out into the main room. He could see Sky sitting in the living room, he made his way to the open kitchen and started making himself a sandwich. Shadow walked over and sat on the couch a fair distance from Sky. "So I bet you're wondering why I helped him aren't you."

Firelight woke up with a start. He looked down at Sky who was stirring at the commotion. She opened her bleary eyes and looked up at Firelight. He kissed her cheek and said I'm going to the bathroom. I'll be back." She smiled and nodded as he got up and walked away. After he closed the door behind him, Sky Flower got off the bed and folded it up. She sat on the couch to wait. Just then, Shadow came out of his room. He sat on the couch and asked her a question. She nodded shyly and said "I suppose so."

Shadow let out a sigh when he thought about the reasons, it was going to be hard for him to talk about. "Well for one I did it for the money but mostly I did this for a more personal reason." Shadow took a deep breath. "I'm doing this because I want to see this world back to the way it once was. I lost my little sister to a gang attack...my parents left her to die because they couldn't afford to feed both of us. I want it to be a work where nopony looses someone they love ever again and that includes you two. My employer assures me that she can fix all of this."

Sky looked at the stallion curiously. "How does that involve us? And who is your employer?" She was thoroughly confused. How did he know about her and Firelight and what did they have to do with anything? Who was this guy and who did he work for? And how was she and Firelight supposed to help restore Equestria?

((OOC: Good news, I won't be goin anywhere.(least, not right now or for a while, that I know of) So I'm still here))

 

After they both finished getting ready, Patterson donned his hat and trench coat and followed River out the door. As they began walking down the path River looked over at Patterson's solemn face, and proceeds to try to console him.

 

River: "You are doing the right thing. We can't do anything right now so we must stay well and able to make an impact in the future when the opportunity presents itself."

 

Pat: "But what if that day never comes? My life will be meaningless!"

 

River couldn't give an answer, she just stopped Patterson with her telekinesis, and jumped out of her wheelchair to give Pat a big hug. As Pat caught River and embraced her, he let out a sigh.

 

Pat: "Thanks. I needed that."

 

And the two of them sat for a few minutes on the forest floor, just thinking what they would ever do without each other.

Shadow chuckled lightly. "I'm sorry but I can't tell you who my employer is because even I don't know. When we met she was hidden only leaving me a pouch of coins and gems. She told me to find a pony named Firelight so that's what I've been doing. She's apparently trying to put together a resistance to win back Equestria and make it liveable again with peace and harmony." Shadow could see the look of confusion about her. "I only made the assumption that you and Firelight were together cause he was the one who wanted to rescue you so I figured you two were an item."

Sky blushed slightly. She loved that crimson stallion so much. But now she only had more questions. How did the mystery pony know who her stallionfriend was? Just then the pony in question came out of the bathroom and sat right next to Sky. She rested her head on his shoulder as he said "My nose was itching. Somepony talking about me?"

Shadow saw the look on Sky's face and when he saw Firelight walk out of the bathroom Shadow smiled. It was new to him, he hadn't smiled in a long time. Shadow got up and nodded to Sky. "I should get some more sleep we've only got a few more hours till nightfall. Everything will be answered or should be by tonight...for all of us." Shadow nodded and dismissed himself and headed back towards his room.

Firelight watched Shadow curiously as he walked away and closed himself in his room. He looked down at Sky and so she filled him in. He gazed at the floor seriously while she spoke. "Firelight, I'm kind of nervous. But I'm really happy we are together now. I know whatever happens, that's what's important." He looked up and smiled at her. He wrapped his hoof around her and rubbed her shoulder. "Everything's going to be okay now. You'll see." he said. He pulled her down with him gently as he lay on the couch. He wrapped her up tightly in his hooves and she snuggled into his cheast, breathing in his scent.

Renegade Lighter slowly stood out of his bunk,he looked at the ground a moment before looking back up at the armor on the wall,he sighed softly as he slowly trotted over to it and looked at his two Katanas,he shook his head softly,"Focus...come on...you won't be able to survive without being focused..."he sighed again as he put on his armor and put his katanas in his back sheaths.

Blaze didn't know what happened but he was ready to embrace himself the new Blaze, he wasn't Blaze anymore he was Jack the Ripper, a ruthless sociopath that mutilated, massacred, and obliterated all who challenged him. Clarent was weak though, Jack didn't think he was going to live long, the doctors work might have brung him back to life but Jack knew that it wasn't going to last long enough, only long enough to hunt his enemies down it all started with Firelight, he wants to see the Mare weep for her dead companion but that ship has long sailed, he was going to take Sky away from Firelight, an eye for an eye. Jacks humanity for Firelights Mare.....
