Shanks 10,817 January 28, 2014 Share January 28, 2014 (edited) Not handling it isn't handling it it is ignoring it so my answer so far is no. As pleased as I am that she hasn't been turned into a Mare E Sue by making her too overpowered too quickly or give her too much of that perfect pony princess wish fulfilment vibe if it wasn't for the wings you wouldn't know that there was any change whatsoever making the whole things seem poinless and stupid. Yes I hated the idea and though I may be neutral now there are stilll some things I don't like about it but since said change has already happened it needs to be addressed and addressed properly. She is a princess now, but the princess of what exactly? I have a theory that will probably be the princess of friendship but exactly what kind of responsibilities would that entail? It has been handled well in the season premier and to a lesser extent Equestria Girls but that is pretty much about it so far. TwilightDreamer 69 January 29, 2014 Share January 29, 2014 I think the writers are handling Twilight in her new alicorn stage very well, they're making her develop as a princess-in-training. Being a Princess is serious business because after she became one and was accepted into the royal family, there's always some diplomatic responsibilities and royal duties that she obtained. In some ways, the writers are trying to make the development of her new status and the next stage of her personal growth "suttle" and not try to shove it down our throats just for the sake of selling toys. In a way, they're making her progression natural and not feel forced.
