Any here play Demon's/Dark Soul('s)

I am getting back into Demon's Souls and then will hop back into Dark Souls. I love these games, I'm not the best at them.I only beat them once each time. My younger brother has beat the game over 20 times, and he can beat Dark Souls in 8 hours. He can play the game in a coma if he wanted to. The only bosses that make him angry are the man eaters. I am doing well, I am actually on a roll with parrying and that is something I suck at usually. I love these games because their replay value is worth 40 bucks in total and it never gets old.

I do play them but usually only when I'm in the mood for them. I've only beaten Demon's Souls once and I've yet to beat Dark Souls but beating these games is the last thing I care when playing them. Okay except for PvP. I try to play offline cuz I don't like being invaded.

 

Dark Souls 2 is looking to be really good and I like some of the things they are giving us (like making dual-wielding seem more viable) but not overly confident in my ability to take on hordes without invincible backstabs and enemies that pivot much faster.

Me and your brother....both beaten the game 20 times over yet I never have problmes with the Man eaters only 4 kings and Bed of Chaos. Other then that it's pretty easy when you can parry also but you are pro if you can parry a invader online. One thing to say. Do not get the Drake Sword it's not worth it it doesnt scale at all

Even if it doesn't scale if you're going for specific builds or weapons that you don't have the stats for yet the Drake Sword would be a great substitute for early in the game. Even then, not everyone gets how scaling stats work at first so until they do it's also good for that. It's a generally good weapon, but the lack of scaling makes it useless later in the game.

 

The Maneaters and Old King Allant are the only bosses that gave me trouble on my one playthrough where I beat it. Every other boss was easy to block and circle around.

 

Though I've never beaten Dark Souls (haven't even gotten one Archdemon soul yet) I would say the hardest (or most stress-inducing, at least) boss is Ornstein and Smough. Even with Solaire's help I have issues with them.

Ornstein and Smough is my favorite boss in the whole game actually...the final boss is redicously easy when you master parrying

I can't parry for crap, or dodge. I die lots when I try either so I just stick with greatshields and much blocking.

Huge fan right here. I just can't get enough of the lore or just the world as a whole. My love goes out to all the Knights of Gwyn, Smough, and the oh so wonderful Siegmeyer of Catarina!

I'm doing surprisingly better than I thought I would after not playing it for a year. It's really all about patience and your statistics actually matter in the game. My brother has a hard time with Artorias, Manus, Flame Lurker and Man Eaters. Other than  that, my brother helps me out here and there. I'm going back because I have a genuine love for the games, even though I'm not the best at them. Just beating it once shows I have a pair.

Most except Quelaags Furysword if you're going on with high dex and are good at keeping humanity. DragonSlayer Spear is good for str dex and faith builds but thats just me

I play, although I havenb't done much PVE anymore. Once you get down the timing of blocks and parries it isn't much of a challenge. PVP is definitely fun though. I usually use the murakumo, but I've been doing a rags to riches run recently. For demon's souls I use the Dragon Bone Smasher, but only because I've only ever done one run, I don't have a ps3.

I made the game to easy using the fury sword. I am in a mood where I want a challenge. Gywnn is hard for me because I cannot parry him. He's a roid head who comes at you. False King Allant is so easy because he's slow and range based.

 

I beat the tower knight and the spider today, doing pretty shitty actually.
