Worst advertisements/selling points ever?

I saw a pretty weird commercial lately on TV. First, they were telling about a teenage girl who liked to draw and did it since she was a little kid. Then suddenly, she was riding on a horse and they were telling some stuff about getting injured and stuff, and that a mother must change with a kid's injuries, then the mother was seen getting the product out of a shelf (and of course showing it). It was some kind of pills against injuries or something.

The point is that between art and riding I kinda lost the point, so at the end I thought "Wait, what the...? What did that beginning have to do with injuries? I mean, I might see a connection to that horse riding thing, but... seriously?" That just was the weirdest commercial I had ever seen on TV, a commercial that directly reminded me why I am not watching TV anymore...

One of the worst is that stupid Kmart commercial about the "shipping", with all the double entendre. Seriously, a ten year old could have written that, snorting to himself the whole time about how "hilarious" it was. X_X

*Ships pants*

Umm... oops.

*Ships bed*

Oh, gosh, I don't know whats wrong with me today!

Now if you'll excuse me, I'm gonna go get some big gas savings with my electric car.

Errr... I haven't seen too many HORRIBLE - Well actually wait, I have...

You know all those "GoDaddy" ads? Where they're completely focused on being sexy, when they're actually a website building company?

Cuz the first time I saw one of those ads, I said "Who lets a porn site advertise on public television?"

The Xbox One apparently had a horrible selling point (Back when they announced it). I keep hearing that Microsoft isn't advertising it the best either. I don't know since I don't follow Xbox One news.

Probably a pretty well-known commercial for being bad, but I still have to post it:

If you haven't seen this before, this is the real commercial, no edits, no looping. That's really what it was. And I have no idea how in the world anybody ever thought that was a good idea. >.<

Also, where I live we have this airport parking company that makes some of the most annoying commercials ever, and then pays to have them spammed on every radio/TV station around.

I can't post any of them because they aren't available on YouTube, but I can't not post about them because they're just that bad! Every single commercial/ad the company has ever made that I have heard is awful, no matter what direction they take it in. They have really turned me off from using their service, should I ever fly again.

Oh god, you've brought back my worst nightmare

but umm on topic, pretty much any body fat reducing drug commerical

like this one especially

Pretty much every commercial that says "free!" It's free at first but then once you actually want to do anything with the program you have to spend mondo money.

You can lead a horse to water but you can't make it save equistria with its five candy coloured friends and shoot rainbows at bad guys using their necklaces and tiara unless you're celestia

Pharmaceutical commercials that advertise the rarity of side-effects for their drugs when the rarity is inversely proportional to the severity of said effects.

You're have a .5% chance of uncontrollably bleeding from your eyes and choking up your lungs! Goody!

Pretty much every infomercial that the price is the same $19.95. Cheap as crap. Will be broken or returned in no time.

A local restaraunt here called ivory jacks has a radio spot where their main selling point is "ivory jacks, where the food is good, and the parking is always free." I have no idea why they talk about free parking. They are in Fox which is about one street long, and a bunch of wilderness. It reminds me of the Clerks cartoon where randall puts up the "pay as you exit" sign.

I'm taking a different approach to your question.

I don't like pop-ups or video advertisements that take place when you're watching a video (like on YouTube). Although I virtually ignore most advertisements (unless it's about something I like *coughflyingcough*), I immediately click on the box since it's not really favorable on my part, and I feel like it's demonstrating that the business wants to shub their product down your throat, which is a terrible approach.

As for the video ads, self-explanatory. I was watching the Blair Witch Project, on one of the more serious scenes...and what do you know?! An outside voice appears...oh! It's an advertisement  :okiedokielokie:  :okiedokielokie:  :okiedokielokie: ! If simple pictures of a product aren't good enough, they have to play videos to catch your attention. It's unwanted comic relief (as opposed to "wanted" comic relief). I should set myself up so that the advertisement makes me screw up somehow, just enough so I can sue the f*** out of their hide.
