There is no species limitations. Lanterns are spread through the universe. You just need to have a reason to be on Equestria if you are not a native to the planet.

I think I may just use my oc pony again.  Rakon may be to powerful, being a younger teenish age dragon about the size of an average mare since he can fly, breath fire, can swim in lava, or use a lava pool like a hot tub.  & the other abilities dragons can do.

Well, I don't know. We could start over and do it before the manhunters invade. Thus giving us a chance to save more ponies. Not a version of Fallout Equestria. And we could develop the story some more. But its up to you guys.
