We'd have to look into Equestrian law about the legality of that. "You learn a lot about people when you listen to the songs that mean something to them." Silverwisp the Bard 2,353 February 13, 2014 Share February 13, 2014 (edited) Seriously, this thread again? We got like three of these in the last few months.. In the newest episode Rarity just forgot about Spike's crush for her, how? Is Spike forever alone now? I don't think she has forgotten about it (she'd have to be pretty dense to not notice). It's simply that she does not feel the same way about him that he does about her. Their relationship has always been one-sided, bordering on abusive;this episode isn't exacty a game changer. It would but they would never have kids. Magic might do the trick... Anilewe 2,178 February 13, 2014 Share February 13, 2014 She was probably too focued on her own feelings to think clearly and realize it. Besides, Spike is a baby dragon and he doesn't understand that their relationship couldn't work in real world. Rarity is aware of it and treats his feelings as child crush (because, you know, it IS the child crush). 3 Fan of Applejack? Join us! We have the best cider from Sweet Apple Acres! FNGRpony 658 February 13, 2014 Share February 13, 2014 In the newest episode Rarity just forgot about Spike's crush for her, how? Is Spike forever alone now? Spike has tons of friends in town. by definition he's not alone. the main six, the cmc get along with spike, the cakes get along with spike, spike is essentially twilight's royal vi zear At the very least at some point in time some gold digger out there will work spike over. Maybe it'll be diamond tiara in 10 years from now. She was probably too focued on her own feelings to think clearly and realize it. Besides, Spike is a baby dragon and he doesn't understand that their relationship couldn't work in real world. Rarity is aware of it and treats his feelings as child crush (because, you know, it IS the child crush). to be totally fair who's rarity to decide what relationships work in the real world. Scuse me I'm gonna go make a thread about which pony would deal out the best relation ship advice. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JvTYhrZUgYY flight to the finish. i continue to improve,

Scuse me I'm gonna go make a thread about which pony would deal out the best relation ship advice. We talk about Rarity, so yes, it's up to her to decide if that relationship would work or not. She can't decide about other ponies relationships and can't change how Spike feels. But she has every right to: 1. decide if she wants the relationship with Spike 2, not feel the same way. And as I said already: Spike is the BABY dragon. He's a child. We can't seriously think that they would be a couple, at the moment anyways. Maybe in the futre, yes, but not now. Silverwisp the Bard 2,353 February 13, 2014 Share February 13, 2014 Also, I disagree that she doesn't feel the same way, she just has to realize it. Oh, she does definitely feel affection for him, but its nowhere near as powerful as the other way around. My guess is that she isn't quite sure how she feels about him (since you know, age difference, species and all that jazz). 2 My Art Thread, updated (almost) daily Tomorrow will take us away, far from home No one will ever know our names But the bard songs will remain. He's only called a baby dragon because in terms of a dragons lifespan he's lived such a small part of it. I don't get how people forget that he was hatched when the Mane 6 were kids. They're all adults now so he has to be at least a teen. He's probably like 18 or 19. (16 at the youngest.) Oh, she does definitely feel affection for him, but its nowhere near as powerful as the other way around. Hopefully they do an episode where she decides to buy him from Twilight and make him her pet and she realizes she loves him as he's serving her. But yeah, he should be around 17 with Rarity somewhere around 25. A considerable gap, but nothing that unusual and definitely not immoral. Sunny Fox 5,950 February 13, 2014 Share February 13, 2014 Seriously, what's up with calling their relationship "bordering on abusive"? It's nowhere near that. She might be taking advantage of him in some ways, but she isn't cruel to him. In fact, she's frequently stood up for him, given him things in return for helping her and comforted him when he needs it. Not to mention in "Rarity Takes Manehatten," even when Rarity is busy with her fashion show, while the rest of the Mane Six explore the city, he still ends up lugging around all their junk. Twilight could use her telekinesis to carry that stuff effortlessly, but he's still stuck doing it. So you're saying the rest of the Mane Six are abusing Spike too? As for the thread question, she probably hasn't forgotten entirely, she's just gotten so caught up in her tragedy that she can't see past her own problems. 3 Happy minion of The Fabulous One! Anilewe 2,178 February 13, 2014 Share February 13, 2014 (edited) There's no proof in the show that he's as mature as Main 6. We don't really know how dragons grow and when they're ready to start the relationship. And even if he isn't the baby dragon when it comes to age, Main 6 treat him as a child. Fair or not, but they do. Anyway... We can argue about how Spike is a child or not, but it doesn't change one thing: Rarity doesn't have to want to start the relationship with him. She has every right to treat it as the child crush. And she has every right to refuse, if he ask her about being together. It's not her fault that she doesn't feel the same way. Rarity is a woman, womans usually don't care about suffering of male's. So... Yeah, she forgot about Spike, because she's don't care. Typical woman.Hold on Spike, I understand you bro. Precisely. And Rarity is unfairly singled out for it, because Spike is the one who has the crush on her. I'm not denying that she seems to like having someone who will do things for her (she pretty much states that outright in "Spike at your Service": "Oh, what I wouldn't give to have somepony forever in my debt... I'd get them to.... ") but she can't help that he feels that way about her. 2 Happy minion of The Fabulous One! Silverwisp the Bard 2,353 February 13, 2014 Share February 13, 2014 Seriously, what's up with calling their relationship "bordering on abusive"? Maybe "abusive" was a bit strong; "exploitative" might be better. For the record: I'm as sick of the "Spike's a slave" and "Spike is discriminated for being a male" crowd as the next sane person. She does take advantage of him, though admittedly this only happens because he lets it happen. And don't get me wrong I don't mind that; it makes for great story material, a hundred times more so than any lovey dovey smoochy relationship we usually get in the medium. 2 My Art Thread, updated (almost) daily Tomorrow will take us away, far from home No one will ever know our names But the bard songs will remain.
