After the events of the Golden Pines Incident, Solar and Sunny have been given leave for psychological therapy, Lee has vanished, Charcoal has become a demon lord, and Moon Crypt is still being held under house arrest until the council finds the time to resume his questioning. So, when Baltimare has suspicious events, Lord Inquisitor Starlight is forced to step out of his library for the first time in months to deal with the rising suspision.

 

As the airship approached the city limits, soaring above the heavy cloud cover, the Lord Inquisitor sent a message to the other ponies that they should meet him on deck to prepare to move to the Baltimare HQ, where they will brief and move out from...

Yet, as the airship approached the city, a wisp of sorts curled its way around the ship unseen before racing off towards the city, diving left and right amongst the hurried hoofsteps of ponies before diving directly through the ground, as if it were a ghost, and racing through a series of tunnels before arriving at a perfectly round room, full of other wisps, floating around, before it came upon a gargantuan wisp, hovering motionless in the exact center of the room. After delivering it's message to the wisp, it vanished and disappeared.

 

How intriguing... they have arrived. Projecting its voice across the area in a tone that would only be heard by other demons, he called, Charcoal Embers! Your presence is requested...

((Other villains start out in the city, in a location that you choose. Mr. Dovahkiin, you start out in the city as well, and you can interact with the others- good and bad- before I begin your story and start talking to you in Dovah. The Inquisition starts on the airship.))

Charcoal was resting at home base, restoring her energy from her recent time in equestria. This was about the time when she heard a message, a request for her presence. She was a bit annoyed that she had to get up so soon, but decided to see what it was anyway. With a quick spell she located the place where she had been called and in a puff of smoke teleported there.

Caprisha sighed as she walked around the giant airship. It was just much too boring for her and she couldn't stand it for much longer. If she couldn't find something to do she couldn't tell what she would so. She wondered around until she came to a place a little more open. A few of the other ponies were around and that was definitely better than being stuck alone.

Ooc: Reusing an entrance I made for Shadow Star for another RP; works just as well here. XD

 

Shadow Star smirked as she faced her opponents across a wooden table. "So," she drawled. "What's your move gonna be, boys? Are you in, or are you out?"

 

One of the stallions, an earth pony, put down his hoof of poker. "I fold," he said evenly, as the other stallion, a pegasus rolled his eyes. "Coward," the pegasus teased. "I'm in, for sure!" He was certain that he was going to win this game; the earth pony simply kept his even smile on his face.

 

Shadow Star raised the stakes again. "I'm putting a whole bag of bits in," she said to the pegasus. "You in, or are you gonna fold and do this the easy way?"

 

"Hell no!" the pegasus stallion exclaimed. "I'm not folding to no mare!" He threw his last bag of bits on to the gaming table, full of confidence.

 

"Guess it's time now to reveal our hooves," Shadow Star remarked. "You first."

 

A confident smirk still on his face, the pegasus stallion revealed his poker hoof. "A pair and a trio," he said. "Beat that, mare."

 

"Well, you can't say that you didn't ask for it," Shadow Star replied, as she revealed her own hoof. The pegasus gaped. It was a Celestial Flush, which effectively knocked his hoof into a cocked hat. The earth pony snorted with laughter.

 

"I warned you about playing against Shadow, but you wouldn't listen, would you?" he said, tears of mirth rolling down his cheeks. The pegasus scowled as he threw his bag of bits over to the unicorn mare, who grinned as she levitated the bags into the air and down inside her already bulging saddlebags. "Good game, gentlemen," she replied, with an ironic bow to both. "I think we ought to call it quits for the night."

 

Still grinning, Shadow Star trotted away in the direction of the uppermost deck. The unicorn mare hadn't gained her cutie mark for nothing; her talent was at gambling, and she always won. If the cards were stacked against her, she wasn't against using her magic in order to win, and it was a foolhardy gambler who dared to take her on. A member of the Luna branch of the Inquistion, Shadow Star had kept her wits about her during her long and chequered career. On receiving the message from the Lord Inquisitor, Shadow Star hurried up on deck to meet him.

Sanura was already up on deck, sharpening her hoof knives as she waited for the Lord Inquisitor to speak and the others to arrive. A zebra earth pony cross, Sanura was paranoid about most things. This was unsurprising, given her career as a spy for Princess Celestia as well as a member of the Luna branch of the Inquisition. Sanura had proven to many that just cuz she didn't possess magic or the power of flight, she was not one to underestimate. She was skilled in many forms of combat, but generally prefered the sneakier methods. A skilled sniper, Sanura could not only use a bow and arrow efficiently, but also a blow pipe and darts. Her cutie mark represented the fact that she rarely missed her target, whether she was gathering information, or firing at a target.

Monkshood sighed as he stared at the metallic walls of the inner airship. So different was his home here, it felt sterile and uninviting, nothing like the wilderness' boundless expanse. He always felt at odds with the mechanized nature of such mechanical behemoths. Granted, since 'joining' he had spent what little spare time he had been able to obtain both bound and studying his own personal books and those of the Branch of Twilight, and often forgoing the embrace of the natural world which he once called home. His hooves clanged against the metallic surface of the ship's narrow walkways as he progressed to its deck.

 

Making his way to his destination, Monkshood mumbled a few incomprehensible words underneath his breath as he pondered his purpose in the the Branch of Twilight. He thought about how the Inquisition ignited his curiosity as they continuously battled and studied creatures seemingly unfettered by the natural world, yet he always whispered among himself that such a thing could not prove true.

 

He wished nothing more than to brandish a blade upon his own terms, through Nature's own strength. Monkshood was sure that some of his superiors thought of him as nothing more than an oddity or a mad-pony when speaking such things, but Nature had a might that was subtle. She would cast her roots down into the world for aeons often before her true strength would be revealed. All that she needed was somepony to show it to the world.

 

His mind gradually began to slip back into the realms of reality around him as he appeared on the ship's deck. Glancing around, he noticed that a few of the others had already arrived. He stopped noticing one was from the Branch of Luna. "Typical, I swear we're always paired with the assassins", he muttered quietly underneath his breath as he diverted his path to find an area spaced far enough away from any others, yet close enough to observe any events.

Jaeger sat on the airships deck. He hadn't left since the Golden Pines incident, he had been the only one that could walk away and say he was not wounded, physically or mentally. He sat there, his torn black, cloaks hood draped over his head, staring at the ground, pondering things he wished he would never have to. The image of all his friends flashed through his head, causing him to wince in pain, Solar, Sunny, Lee, and lastly, Charcoal Embers.

 

Jaeger clenched his hooves at the thought of the mare, what she had done, what she was going to do. It was like fuel to his fiery rage burning deep within his soul. He might have gotten out with no physical wounds, but if he told others that he had gotten out not emotionally scared would be a flat out lie. His thoughts returned to Charcoal, he wanted more than anything to see the mare suffer for the pain she caused him.

 

His eyes looked up slightly, noticing new ponies getting aboard, if any tried to speak with him he would let them know right off that he was not to be bucked with. He had shown kindness and a gentle nature, but now it was torn away from him, useless. A tear started to roll down his cheek. I'm coming for you Charcoal, and I'm bringing death with me, be ready, your time is coming.… he thought to himself, watching the tear fall to the ground with a satisfying plop sound.

As Caprisha was waiting and looking around she noticed a pony who wandered off on his own. She grinned a bit and approached him. "Hey you. You look a bit suspicious to me. Mind telling me why you are away from everypony else?" Caprisha asked him accusingly, trying her best to keep a straight face.

As Charcoal watches to find out who had called her she noticed a pony not far from her. She chuckled at how she was hiding out like a coward. She decided to have a little fun with her. She used her magic to change ger form into a very handsome stallion. She came up behind her and tapped her on the shoulder. "Hey."

Charcoal sighed and rolled her eyes. "Fine, if you're going to be like that." Charcoal grabbed the mare and pinned her hooves to the wall and began kissing her. Charcoal wanted to see this mare get upset. She wanted to see her at her best before pumbling her into the ground.

Charcoal chuckled and brushed off his chest where she had been kicked. The place where she had kicked him there were two hoof prints planted into her skin. Her kick wounds healed right in front of her. "Now then, how about you quiet down and just cooperate. You don't want me to start using force." Charcoal said before grinning.

Charcoal simply chuckles at the mare again as her face fixes itself just like her chest. "Oh, so you are an enemy of the Inquisition? Very interesting. Very interesting indeed. That just makes me want you more." Charcoal says with a big grin as she begins walking towards the mare again.

Charcoal chuckled. As she reached Charcoal she reached out a hoof and grabbed Moonlight by the neck and held her onto the ground. "Now now, I was enjoying myself before you started getting violent. Now, let's try that again. Shall we?" Charcoal asked before leaning in for another kiss.

Charcoal grabbed Moonlight's knife and bends it. This was beginning to get on her nerves. "Now see here. I wasn't going to let this get violent, but you have gotten on my last nerve. Now I'm giving you two options here. Either go peacefully, or die." Charcoal said as she began glaring at Moonlight.

Moonlight horn flashed and she teleported 16 ft away from Charcoal then galloped away she couldn't repeatedly teleport she could only teleport every 15 minutes but she did learn a lot from this encounter like not to stab a demon lord or pissed them off.
