The sun had reached a reasonable height for ponies to wake up in Ponyville. A young, yellow-ochre pegasus with a mushroom cloud for his cutie mark (his special talent is the manufacturing, sale, and use of pyrotechnics and fireworks) also woke up at that time. This particular pegasus owned a shop called the Fireworks Shoppe which looked somewhat like SugarCube Corner, but the main differences were no curved roof, different coloration, and a weather dish on the roof of the tower containg the room where the pegasus lived. He lived with his parents, a pink pegasus with a red mane and a fire-colored flower for her cutie mark (her name is Fire Flower) and a light gray pegasus with a black mane and a twister for his cutie mark (Storm Chaser). Together, the parents and their son created the Fireworks Shoppe, and now lived all together in it. Either way, the yellow-ochre pegasus made his way down to the entrance of the Fireworks Shoppe, where he changed the sign to "Open". After he did so, he went to the kitchen where he ate his breakfast. After that, he asked, "Hey mom! How are the sales doing?" "Good but slow," Fire Flower replied. "Hey sonny! How ya doing?" Storm chaser asked. "Just fine, dad. Just fine," the yellow-ochre pegasus responded flatly. "Hopefully things will get better later on," Storm Chaser replied. "Maybe you're right. Anyway, I'm just waiting to see what today will bring, so let's wait and see!" the young pegasus replied.

As Rainbow Dash walked through the door of the shoppe, she asked "Hey! Got me anything for today?" "I'm mighty hungry for a full energized pegasus this morning." Rainbow Dash yawned.

The yellow-ochre pegasus noticed Rainbow Dash enter the store. "Ok, you, I do have something..." And there goes my breakfast. The pegasus brought Rainbow a daisy sandwich before realizing just what she asked for. "Um... is something alright? Last I checked, the Fireworks Shoppe didn't include the words 'and restaurant,'" he replied. "But, while you're here, welcome to the Fireworks Shoppe! This one's got all sorts of fireworks, from the safe 'n' sane to the dangerous. What would you like today?... as far as fireworks go... " The pegasus looked at Rainbow Dash, smiling sheepishly, and rubbed the back of his head with his left hoof.

"That's alright," she said as she took the sandwitch. "a sandwitch will be enough." Rainbow Dash gazed at the scenery from inside the Fireworks Shoppe. "Pretty nice place you got here!" she said in amazment.

"Thanks!" the yellow-ochre pegasus said, blushing from embarassment. "Anyway, what kind of fireworks would you like today?" he asked again, expectantly waiting for a reply from the cyan pegasus before him. "I've got plenty of fireworks to choose from, and I also have dynamite," he said, adding an air of caution to the last word.

Suddenly after a long while, Pinkie bounced in. "Heya! Got any fireworks for my party i'm planning?" She said, "I really really super-duper need them!" Said Pinkie again, energized and exuberant.

The yellowish pegasus finally decided to introduce himself. "Hey, girls! my name is Thunder Storm! Pinkie,welcome to the Fireworks Shoppe! This one's got all sorts of fireworks, from the safe 'n' sane to the dangerous. What would you like today?" Thunder Storm looked at Pinkie Pie, the one who had just came in. "Lemme guess-you want a big boom, right?" He asked, looking towards Pinkie. The glint in her eyes told him everything. "Well, if you want t big boom..." he said, pausing to put a large, 12-inch shell on the table, "I've got A BIG BOOM." When the shell was placed on the table, Thunder Storm saw smiles on the faces of 2 of the Mane 6.

"Oh, sup Pinks?" Rainbow said. "Oh, and I won't be needing any fireworks..." "Until I pull my new stunt off!" "It's going to be awesome!" RD said with a big grin.

Thunder Storm grinned sheepishly. "Um... O...kay." He was, however, thinking at that moment why RD just called her best friend "Pinks". He interrupted that thought with pranking. "Would you two be interested if I told you they're also great for pranks?"

[Pinkie Diane Pie 217]

"Pranks? I love pranks! Me and Dashie used to prank other ponies!" Pinkie said. "I can't handle some fireworks, really. So give me a less destructive firework." Pinkie said, warningly. "Surely, i'm just as capable!"

Thuder Storm knew just what to give the pony in front of him. "OK, Pinks! If you want the perfect pranking fireworks, i got 'em as well! Here are some smoke balls and smoke sticks, some snapdragons, and some fireworks! And, I always give fireworks to customers visiting here for the first time free of charge!" As he named the fireworks, Thunder Storm pushed the shell aside to have it overhang dangerously close to his tail. He made room for the smoke balls, smoke sticks, snapdragons, and firecrackers, giving the 12-inch shell the tipping nudge. Down it went until it landed on the yellow winged pony's tail. "! Eh..." He kept a straight face for 3 whole seconds. "AAAAAAHHH!" he finally shouted, jumping through the roof and blowing on his tail, landing with a thud back through the roof and onto the linoleum floor below.

"Pfft" "Hrrrkh" Rainbow Dash tried not to laugh but she just had to! Rainbow blurted out laughing like a balloon bursting out with fresh air. After she stopped and let out a big, deep breath, she finally managed to help Thunder Storm up. "You okay?!" She asked, almost crying tears of laughter.

Thunder Storm gladly took the helping hoof, then rubbed his aching tush. "Don't... worry about me. I've had worse," he said. "Anyway, since it's your first time shopping here, I'm giving these fireworks for free!" Looking out the window, Thunder Storm saw somepony picking on Fluttershy. He quickly forked the fireworks into Pinkie's hooves, leaving her and Dash with a questioning look. Outside the window, Thunder Storm and the bully had a little chit chat. Muffled voices were heard outside until an explosion was heard, and the bully put into a tree, having just been spooked out of his wits. Thunder Storm walked in, whistling innocently. "Anyway... here's those fireworks for free! Now, who's up for a little pranking?"

"You bet!" said Rainbow excitedly. "How about you Pinkie?" "Your always in the mood for some fun eh?" Rainbow Dash nudged her.

Thunder Storm looked at the ponies with an agreeing look. "This pony was born to sell, make and prank." He gave a nod of approval, then looked at RD. "By the way, Dashie, you look beautiful-- did I say that?"
