They would never fight. Goku would befriend them all, Gohan would become BFF's with Fluttershy, and Vegeta would think loudly to himself about his conflicting emotions involving being around a bunch of colorful talking horses while epic music plays in the background.

Against the saiyins, sure, they'd be wasted.

 

Against Piccolo...nope. He'd either tank it like an absolute boss, or send it flying right back in their faces. Magic against Piccolo is damn near wasting time.

I love DBZ, you can see that in my avatar...but magic and ki are totally different things. Remember Goku's battle against Janemba? That's what happens when they fight magic users. Their only chance is to speed blitz them before they use magic. However, since the speed is equalized, Goku could just get hit with a reforming spell or turn to stone spell

Those are some very good points though... but still the speed of the characters in DBZ and physical strength alone one hit could easily cause some serious hurt to any character within the mlp fim universe. I still see that the winner would easily be those of DBZ... I think the speed alone of goku would be the triumph card here. It would only take one hit and they would be finished...

Here's the problem, the OP stated that their speed is equalized, therefore, Goku's only advantage is gone. He's not going to move fast enough to dodge a magic bolt, a magic bolt that WILL cripple him and take him out.

 

Piccolo and Supreme Kai are much better fits since they have knowledge of magic and can counter and defend against it. But most people in DBZ don't use magic, so they are basically sitting there with a sign saying "Turn me into an orange"

How are their speeds equalized when goku can fly at very fast speeds and not only teleport at will. Also have you not seen the speeds in which the characters in DBZ fight at? Its as if their movements are so fast nearly no one can see what is going on half the time. Why could goku not simply be able to just dodge those magic spells? Unless perhaps one did mange to immobilize him which I highly doubt in a fight he would let happen. Twiley can barely fly as it is and yeah she can teleport but are her fighting skills and reflex there as opposed to gokus? I think not and I still think that the characters of DBZ would win by a landslide... unless you were Hercule that is xD.

XD so it would be as if he were under x amount of gravity in which he could not move at his normal speed (plus what if he went SSJ,2,3, or 4 even).... than yeah twiley would have the advantage there. But as you said with Janemba fight they still prevailed and beat him so it is clearly so who would win between both of these series.

That is true... it is still funny though when you think about it though xD... a little pony versus well we all know who we are talking about here. Without the speed limitations and such there would be no discussion on who would win.

Actually, there would be, depending on mind-set. If Goku is in character, he'll try to give Twilight a sporting chance, probably limiting himself to her level. This will be a major mistake since while Twilight may not have a high power level, her magic will trash Goku. He won't know that until he gets hit, but it will be too late then.
