Could a FIM/Arthur crossover work?

I guess it could work, if it had a good enough plot. If it all makes sense, if the parts work together, then you can build anything out of anything with anything. If you know what you're doing.

I was dead until the moment I met you. I was a powerless corpse pretending to be alive. Living without power, without the ability to change my course, was akin to a slow death. Lol, I think it would be funny because Arthur is a show that's grounded in realism and MLP is all over the map with magic and monsters and stuff. If all of the Equestrian madness started showing up in Elwood, the people there would lose their minds. But at the same time, the Arthur gang is always having crazy daydreams, so I think eventually they would get a grip. I think the funniest part would be the dynamic between Twilight and The Brain. As a man of science, he would refuse to acknowledge the existence of magic ponies, but once he finally accepted it, he would probably love hanging out with her.

Also can you imagine what D.W would be like when she comes face to face with Twilight. After all, her favorite toy is My Fluffy Unicorn!

In canon, this is highly unlikely due to the incompatibility of the settings and the characters.

However, the shows could parody each other. Arthur did an episode in their early days ("The Contest") in which there were multiple segments parodying popular shows of the 90s (South Park, then-WWF, Dr Katz, Beavis and Butthead, and Dexter's Lab, not to mention the show actually parodies itself in that episode).

There was this very unflattering portrayal:

Then there was the episode "That's a Baby Show!", where many members of the main cast get hooked on a kids show which many Arthur fans equate to the brony fandom, though the episode was written many years prior.

Maybe if the whole thing happened in a dream, then the characters wake up, go about there days, but something happens near the episode that makes you wonder "or is it?"

As unlikely as it seems to be, I honestly would love to see an Arthur/Crossover! If it was comedy driven, then I KNOW there will loads of it with Arthur gang and their crazy antics. Lol, just thinking about it makes me laugh!  ;)

Any sort of crossover can work with a decent (or not so decent) writer and a good plan of crossing over the worlds in a way that holds reader interest (with or without the writing ability to back it up)! I wouldn't care for the idea personally, but I'm sure some would.
