Starlight stuffed into a train cart. Today was her first year in Hogwarts and she was nervous. She was nervous about the teachers and the subjects there. She was lucky to qualify for the school! She nearly failed the qualifying test by one point! She sits down as the train began to move. Her cart was empty until a mare with a raspberry colored body, with black and light pink slightly curly hair trotted in. @

Clover stood on the platform with her parents. She was feeling very nervous about her first term at Hogwarts and hugged her parents tightly before stepping on the train. She didn't know which house she'd been in, and wondered how students were chosen. Clover went to find a compartment to sit in, and saw one that had two other fillies inside.

 

"Um, hello," she said. "Is it ok if I sit here, too?"

 

Diego sat in an empty compartment, kicking his hooves against the seat. He was looking forward to the new school; his mother had educated him at home til he was old enough to join Hogwarts.

Mystic hugged his parents goodbye and trotted, carrying his bags with his magic, onto the train. This was his first year at Hogwarts, and he was nervouscited. He was eager to make new friends and receive his new classes, but he was also nervous that nopony would like him and he wouldn't make any friends at all. He found a compartment with another stallion who was kicking his hooves against the seat. He stepped into it and said, "May I sit with you?" The pony seemed kind of lonely in the compartment all by himself.

Cinder looked each way - up and down the carriage of the train. Everything was clear - not that it really mattered: but she had a string of bad luck when it came to trains - they always made her drop things, and dropping things led to problems when they were in fragile glass bottles. At least is nopony was around, they they wouldn't be able to get upset with her.

 

Because then they shouted. At her. A lot.

 

Sighing happily, she returned to the carriage and sunk happily into the seat - loosening one of the bottle-filled belts slung across herself and placing it mostly-safely beside her. It wasn't like it was her fault anyway, she was learning other stuff now! If she could learn magic it wouldn't matter if she made a mess or set the train on fire or something - she could just magic it back to normal!

 

"Huh. Wonder how long this is going to take?" The Earth mare mumbled to herself, pushing up her goggles and pulling free one of the bottles from the belt beside her - looking at it thoughtfully. "Might catch up on some sleep in a little while - if it stays quiet anyway."

Moonlight said her good byes to her parents and picked up her bags and boarded the train she kept her distance from the other ponies she doesn't want to talk to anypony for now due to feeling slightly home sick already but at least she would be able to improve her magic when she gets to hogwarts.

Skull Dust arrived at the station and got aboard the train. She was looking for a seat to sit in when she came across some one sitting by themselves kicking the seat. "May I sit with you" she asked stepping in. I hope I do good, this is my chance to make something of myself.

((My OC, Mystic already asked to sit with the lone pony... im not saying you cant ask too, its just... he's not really alone anymore plus he didnt answer yet  ))

Mystic waited for a response from the lone pony. He looked at the pony who had just come over and smiled. "Hi," Mystic said. "I'm Mystic. What's your name?"

"Oh hi, I didn't see you there. My name is Skull Dust" She said to Mystic. skull Dust looked up and than back down to the floor. Wow I just barley got here and I am making friends. My big sister would be so happy for me. I miss her so much. I hope is living a good life. I hope mine is good to.

Novalee boarded the train and went to a window, waving a hoof to her parents on the platform. When they were out of sight, she searched for an empty compartment. Not finding one, she asked a mare in one of the compartments if she could sit down. "Er..hi, may I please sit with you? Everywhere else is full."

@,@@Waterfall, Diego looked up at both ponies. "Sure, you can both sit here," he said. "I'm Diego. Thought about what house you think you might be in? My mother was in Slytherin, so I guess I'll be there, as well. Wouldn't really mind. Ravenclaw wouldn't be too bad, but I wouldn't want the others."

"I don't really know. Diego I'm Waterfall" she said sitting down in of the seats. I hope that I'm OK here. I wish I had my big sister with me. She always knew what to do, about things. She was amazing at everything but I hope she isn't to hard on herself cause I disappeared.

Mystic sat down in the compartment. "Hi, Diego," he said. "I'm Mystic, but you can just call me Mystic. I don't know what house I might be in. Maybe Hufflepuff or Gryffindor. I really don't know what would suit me, to be honest." Mystic sat and checked his bags to make sure he had all of them.

@@Waterfall, @, "Guess we'll find out when we get there," Diego replied. "Hope it's not too difficult, whatever test it is that they put us thru to find out what house is suited to you. It wouldn't bother me, but it might bother some ponies to try and do a spell and fail in front of the whole school."

Starlight nodded and smiled. She held her hoof out to the two in front of her, "Hello. I am Starlight." She smiled and made room for the others. She bit into her cookie. "Is it your first year?" Starlight hoped she can make friends so she wont be lonely in school.

Novalee smiled as she sat down. "I'm Novalee, and this is my first year here. I hope I get into Ravenclaw. Which house do you guys want to be in?" She asked. She was nervous that she wouldn't get into Ravenclaw. She was book smart and could memorize facts but when it came to applying her knowledge she often struggled. Her spells were often very weak. But hopefully the teachers here at Hogwarts could help her.

I hope I can be in Ravenclaw, but Gryffindor wouldn't be too bad, I guess. Not Slytherin, tho. I heard that lots of evil ponies come from there."

Mystic nodded in agreement. He was happy to be making some friends. At least, he hoped he was making new friends. He was also going to miss his friends in Canterlot. Mystic sighed as he thought about his Canterlot friends. They promised to write letters to him, but he couldn't help but feel like he would never see them again. He didn't realize that during the normal summer break he could go home to see his friends.

Skull Dust sat quietly in her seat next to Mystic to shy to talk to them. She wanted to be friends with them but she was to shy to start her own conversation with them. Finally she got up the nerve and asked "where did you two grow up at?" 'I hope I didn't ask the wrong thing' she thought

Minx quietly sat in a compartment with other students. 'I don't like this. Whatever do you mean? I mean I don't like this magic stuff at all. Well you'd better get used to it then because it;s going to be a looong year.' Minx's personalities, Angelinx and Devilinx, argued amongst themselves inside Minx's head.

@@Waterfall, "Trottingham, mostly," Diego replied in response to Skull Dust's question. "My mother likes to move around a lot, cuz she gets tired of beating the same ponies in poker all the time. We've lived in Ponyville too for a time, and also Manehatten. Now tho, we're back in Trottingham, cuz she thinks it's best that she stays in one place while I'm at school. I'll be going back there during the summer, tho."

Mystic looked at Waterfall. "I grew up in Canterlot," he said. "I was in Princess Celestia's School For Gifted Unicorns." Mystic smiled with pride. "What about you, Skull Dust, was it? Where did you grow up?"

Novalee smiled at Starlight's excitement. The feast had sounded pretty good. But she wished first years could go to Hogsmeade, because she was really craving butterbeer and sweets from Honeydukes. Maybe they would have some at the feast. "The feast does sound great. But not as great as learning how to properly do magic. My spells always seem to be a bit weak right now. I hope the teachers are good."

Starlight stopped bouncing, "Yeah. Good..." Starlight looked at the window sad, "Have you heard of Professor Snape? Rumors have it his ghost roams around Hogwarts!" She was still slightly saddened by his death. Her uncle's death. "And don't worry about your spells being weak. I'm sure the teachers will help you."
