Upcoming Phones?

Anyone excited for the upcoming phones? I know I am! According to cnet.com, 2014 is the year for the battle of the smartphones. 

 

These are some things I'm excited about:

 

- Octa Core processors

-2K displays

-Samsung Galaxy S5

- HTC One 2

 

 

What about you guys?

I'm actually the most interested in seeing how the Nokia X family turns out.

 

Yes, it's been rooted and given Google Play access. Does the target audience care? NO.

Yes, people are gonna make custom ROMs for it. Does the target audience care? NO.

Did all the reports of Android being fragmented/laggy dent sales? NO.

What is it for? Markets that are too high-end for the Asha family, but too low-end for the Lumia family. Meaning, not the US, UK or any of the other "major" phone markets.

 

This article, on a Windows Phone site, no less, explains what I'm saying better than I can.

The one I'd probably be looking forward to would be the new Firefox OS phone, but other than that... I don't really care... I'm happy with my cheapo!

I don't see why they would ever put such a high resolution on a phone.

 

I couldn't see the pixels on my iPhone 4 which had a retina display. Maybe if I looked at a black/white contrast with no anti-aliasing up-close to my face.

My current nexus 5 has 1080p display, and it's impossible to see any pixels. Especially from a distance, and while it's moving!

 

To top it all off, we barely have 2k content out there.

 

Stop at 1080p is what I say, and spare the poor battery. I want my phone to live for a week, stop killing it

Well I still would like to see a 2K on a phone I mean with 4K coming to TVs and such 

 

And we already have the first 2K phone, the Vivo Xplay 3S
