open Rise of the Dragons (RP)

It all started when the dragons came hundreds of years ago. They burned the land and pillaged the farms. They took livestock and have killed hundreds of ponies. Their victims, who would hide and cower, now fight back with swords and bolas and bows. The dragons still come, and the ponies still fight. Both sides have losses with each raid, but is there another way to stop the chaos that has blinded both sides to the true enemy.

 

Tempest groaned as he woke up. "Dragons. Why does it always have to be dragons?" He thought. The cyan pegesus then flew outside with his dual swords in hove. He saw the burning buildings and sighed. He could see Celestia and Luna, but it's not like he mattered to them. He was a simple warrior. "Why do I do this?" He muttered to himself. Tempest shook his head to clear his thoughts, and flew into the air.

 

Gale smirked as she flew above the clouds. She loved the feeling of the wind under her wings. Her black scales hid her from view, making her exceptionally hard to hit with any ranged weapons. "I might as well give them a surprise." She thought, before diving through the clouds and firing at one of the catapults. The dragoness never stole food, never showed herself, and NEVER missed. Ponies fled at the sound of her roar, but she strangely didn't find any enjoyment in it. Why should she?

 

Dark sighed as she walked through the volcano that many dragons had come to fear. Why wouldn't they? This is where there queen lived, after all. This is where many dragons have died simply for a need of food. "I have to find a way out of here." She thought, as she walked out of the cave and flew into the air.

Orion smirked as he flew above the burning villiage. He loved to see the ponies scatter at the sight of a mere flame. He then noticed a flock of sheep that had been unguarded. "Follow me." He said to a few of the dragons beside him. The group then dove to the ground and scooped up the sheep in their claws. As Orion flew back up, he shot fire at a few of the buildings to try and distract the ponies.

 

Clayton coughed on smoke as he tried to fight off a few of the dragons with his scythe. "You would think that these beasts would give up." He muttered to himself. The unicorn then noticed a few of the buildings were on fire, and ran to find the water buckets. "At least dragon training starts in a few days."

Dark landed in the forest near Ponyville, and was exhausted. She soon found herself in a cove, and curled into a ball as she tried to sleep. The sounds of the raid echoed through the forest.

 

Gale noticed a cyan pegesus, and smirked. "Let's see what you got fly boy." She thought, as she flew past Tempest.

 

Tempest was pushed back by wind as a dragon nearly hit him. He pulled out a bola and threw it in the general direction of the dragon, before he lost his bearings. The ground came up fast, as the cyan pegesus angled himself to fall into the forest.

 

Gale laughed slightly, before feeling something made of rope wrap around her. "Son of a half troll." She muttered, as she fell, into the forest.

Saphira was flying around Equestria not really bothering with what other dragons do and try to burn villages and stuff though she did like to scare the ponies, but that causes no harm to them in anyway. Besides doing just that she sometimes tries to steal food from the village but get's caught. Shes not a big dragoness for her age but still, ponies still seem to be afraid of her

Clayton found the buckets and began to throw water on top of the flames. He didn't pay any mind as to what everyone else was doing, and wasn't exactly in the best of moods at the moment. "Something has to be done about these dragons, but what?" He thought. "Any attempt to find their nest ends in disaster."

 

(@Shiranui: I think it's all centralized around one city, such as ponyville. That is, unless the island is called Equestria.

Ruby who was also trying her best to fend of the Dragons attacking the village with her sword notice Clayton trying to put out the Flames she went ahead and helped him "dam these dragons are persistant when it comes to burning villages neither for food or for fun"

 

Tenebra soared above the burning village she arrived not too long ago and seemingly stands out from all the other Dragons due to her apperance and not having the ability to breathe fire but instead she just shoots a ball of plasma at high speeds it doesn't set things on fire but it still does damage.

She landed in ponyville but she was quite a bit a ways from it. "I don't even know why dragons must be feared...not all of us try try to attack" She said to her self. "I only attack other if I go for to long without food but that never happens" She added to what she said

Clayton glanced at Ruby nodded slightly. "You would've thought that they would give up. Apparently they have stubbornness issues." He said, laughing slightly as he threw more water on top of a flame. The unicorn then notice a chunk of burning rubble break off from the building Ruby was next to. "Look out!" Acting on instinct, Clayton rammed into Ruby, and the two landed on the ground. The piece of rubble landed where the ponies were just standing a few seconds later.

Gale groaned as she came to a rough stop. Pain coursed through her wings, and she knew that at least one of them was probably broken. She let out a low roar, which echoed through the forest. Any attempt to break free of the ropes was futile.

 

Tempest woke up on a patch of grass that wasn't to far from the entrance of the forest. He slowly managed to stand, and felt a searing pain in his eye. "Great, that's probably going to scar." He muttered to himself. He could see the raid still going on in the distance, and slowly made his way back to the villiage. As soon as he left the forest, though, he fell to the ground. The last thing he saw, before falling into unconsciousness, was a light blue dragon.

Ruby blinked a few times before sighing in relief "woah that was close thanks for saving me from being crushed/burned "

Tenebra flied above Ruby and Clayton luckily not spotting them otherwise it would have been a plasma blast to the face. Ruby looked up and watched the dragon fly away "well iv'e seen a lot of Dragons but nothing like that before" she said with a hint of amazement in her voice.

 

((eh i wont mind a interaction between orion and tenebra.)

Sephira turned around and saw a pony on the ground unconscious. "Oh no...he's badly hurt" She said as she walked next to the pony and picked him up and placed him on her back. "You need some help and soon" She said as she went into the forest. "Who can I go to to help you" She asked herself

Clayton smirked slightly, and nodded. "No problem." He said, blushing slightly. The unicorn then stood up and offered his hoof to Ruby, trying to help her up.

 

Orion glanced back at the villiage, and noticed Tenebra. "Who are you?" He asked, slightly curious. "I don't believe I've seen your kind around here?"

Ruby blushed slightly and accepted the offered hoof "thanks" 

 

Tenebra looked at Orion for a few seconds before saying "My name is Tenebra well i guess it was about time a Dragon notices me since i pretty much stand out from the other Dragons" she said backing away from Orion a little bit.

When Tempest woke up, he was falling through the clouds. The only problem was that he couldn't move his body. "No. This can't be real." He thought. Everything then began to fade into darkness, and the only thing Tempest saw was a pair of acidic green eyes. "Who are you?"

 

Dark woke up as she heard some rustling in the bushes. She then noticed a dragon with a pony on her back. "Set him down. I shoukd be able to help him." The dragoness had tended to the wounded when she lived in the dragon nest, so she had some medical experience.

 

Celestia noticed the sun come up as the dragons flew away. She then turned towards Luna. "Gather everpony in the great hall." She said, her voice laced with agitation. "We need to plan on what to do next."

 

Luna nodded. "It shall be done." She said, before turning to the older ponies. "You heard your cheif. Get to it."

Clayton smirked, as he noticed the other ponies leave to head for the grand hall. "I guess I'll see you later, then." He said, as he headed home. He planned to simply get some food and head out to the beach.

 

Orion nodded slightly. "It's a pleasure to meet you, Tenebura. You can call me Orion." He said.

"Yea see ya later" Ruby then started heading to the Great Hall to see what was the fuss about probably a speech about killing dragons them being hated and all that jazz.

"Nice to meet you Orion so what brings you Dragons to burn this village? i come here to catch a few ponies then leave" she said.

Celestia stood over a map of the surrounding ocean, as ponies vented their anger. "If we can find the nest, we can destroy it, and the dragons will leave. They'll find another home." She said.

 

"Those ships never come back." A random pony said.

 

Celestia sighed. "We can do one more search, before the ice sets in. Who's with me?" She asked, as the great hall went dead silent. "Very well. Those who stay can look after Tempest." As she finished saying this, every pony immediately raise their hove.

 

"I'm with you Celestia." One pony said.

 

Luna sighed, as she stood up. "Well, I guess I'll be training recruits, then." She muttered to herself.

Orion shrugged. "The other dragons and I usually raid that villiage for food. We basically give what we catch to our queen, and she protects us. If we don't, well..." The dragon didn't finish the sentence, as the two dragons were surrounded by the other reptiles that had participated in the raid. "Just follow my lead."

 The dragoness put the pony down. "He is badly injured so I hope you can help him" She said as she didn't want the pony getting injure any more then he had to. "He's unconscious at the moment but he needs help...even though he's a pony he shouldn't be left to die" She said

Dark nodded slightly. "I understand." She said. Thankfully, the dragoness was able to find the vines and herbs she needed in order to properly treat Tempest's wounds. She carefully wrapped the vines over each wound, and made sure that they were secure. She then put each herb into Tempest's mouth, helping him chew and swallow the plants.The bindings would also keep any broken bones from moving to much. "He'll be unconscious for a while, but he'll be fine." The dragoness then glanced at Sephira. "If you want, you could stay here, until he wakes up at the least. I'm sure he'll have a few questions."

Saphiria looked at the Dragoness and nodded. "Yes, I will stay and answer what ever questions he has" She said as she sat down. "My name is Saphira by the way, whats yours" She decided to ask the dragoness. "I don;t want ponies and dragons to be enemies any more, all it leads is them hating us more and us burning and stealing their food" She said to her self

Ruby took a deep breathe and said "celestia why don't we just make peace with the dragons that would be a more wiser decission i mean like we can't keep this war with the dragons going" she aloud hoping the princesses and possible the other ponies heard it.

Tenebra simply nodded and followed Orion "oh now i understand you dragons raid villages for your queen".

Dark smiled slightly. "My name is Dark Opal, but most dragons just call me Dark." She said.

 

Unfortunately, Celestia had heard what Ruby had said, and turned towards the pony. "I understand that you are young, so you don't entirely understand the depth of the situation. There is no reasoning with the dragons. They are mindless beasts that have killed hundreds of us and stolen our food." She said, as the other adults began to file out of the great hall. "I'm trying to do what's best for this village."

 

Tempest groaned as he slowly regained consciousness. He could hear noises coming from somewhere, but he was momentarily blinded by light when he opened his eyes. "Where am I? He muttered, slightly dazed.

Orion nodded, and dove into the mist surrounding the dragon's nest. "Yes, we do." He said, a hint of despair in his voice. "It's like we're prisoners on our own island."

 

Clayton sighed as he trotted out of his house. He noticed a few ponies were preparing the ships for a voyage. "Celestia must be going out to hunt for the nest. That means training starts tomorrow." He thought. The unicorn sighed and trotted to the great hall.

Ruby looked slightly saddened but she still talk rather aloud "no their not mindless beast celestia they have families like ponies they care for each other like ponies why cant we just make peace? how would you know it wont work if you don't try it making peace is easier than war Celestia why don't you understand that".

"But cant you dragons rebel and start living away from this queen i mean like she cant be that powerful" Tenebra said.
