planning Mechs with Ponies? (Idea/Planning)

Years past the elements of harmony. Years past the six ponies who had protected them from any adversity.

 

Technology has evolved. The industrial revolution has occurred. Small towns that only had few hundreds, became thousands to even hundreds of thousands. Just as technology becomes better, the machine of war had evolve. Gone are the dark ages of spears, swords, or even at times, traditional magic. Weapons like pistols, assault rifles, shot guns, weapons created with metal. Crafted to exploded far away and to avoid any type of close combat. Soon technology needed more than just weapons for troops, it needed vehicles to protect them. Though hooves limited certain tasks at times, tanks, jeeps were still built to accommodated such handicaps, and then....

 

Then came...the Mechs. Giant Bipedal Robots that can carry large weapons, thus creating more power. These Mechs are 60 feet in size (or just above 18 meters) and just a few can clear out most opposition with just a standard machine gun that comes with the mechs themselves.

War was a forgotten thing in Equestria, but when the elements left and there was no successor except for Princess Twilight. What would become of Equestria? They still had several protection, but even Queen Chrysalis did defeat Celestia (even if she was defeated after by Princess Cadence and Shining Armor.). Though that was several years ago, the fear of an attack made 

 

Technology had to improve and so it did. With orders from Princess Twilight, they were able to protect their country with a iron hoof. No country could handle the strength of the Equestrian Army. Even when 

most countries to fight them in war, and go into a arms race, the ponies still were able to held themselves and obtain a treaty for all countries, combing them with one. 

 

The only group that stay out of this bloodshed and warfare was the Dragons. As they might be the only ones who might be able to stand Equestria army, but were neutral in this war. The ponies had taken over most of the world, and had no opposition against them. They did let other groups try to combine with the pony populace, but others try to stick to places that ponies haven't conqueror yet, some sticking to Dragon territory. 

 

Questionable ethnics, small rebels groups outside and inside of Equestria powerful hold of the world.  

 

The main premise is that what would happen if ponies were able to create mechs?

 

The Mechs that characters will be used are mass produced.  Though most are bi-pedal machine, there are a few that are quad-pedal and are more prone for heavy duty. The size of that mech is four times bigger than the standard mech. 

 

 

 

This is more of a first draft of the roleplay itself. I was wondering anybody(pony) would be interested in the roleplay and if there are any suggestion that might be able to improve on this premise?

Sounds like the inspiration came from one of the most overhyped games, Titanfall. Not bad, but I don't think ponies and mechs mix together that well.

Nah, Titanfall isn't in my get hyped list. Never bother to get the beta for the PC when it was out. 

 

I do fear that you're probably right, there are two different genre all together. I think I'm just going to call it quits on roleplaying on here altogether. Just find a different place to do it.

It sucks to know that you're leaving MLPForums. I hope you'll return one day. We'll miss you, Ninja, on behalf of all the roleplayers that were part of The Other Ponies.

 

Off-Topic: What about The Other Ponies RP? Are you just going to abandon it?
