'Tis be sad that it must exist. But I personally think that the main cause of r34 comes not from cloppers, but rather trolls and /b/tards.

There are trolls there is no doubt about it, I have seen R34 that was designed to be humorous or for the purposes of trolling long before G4 of all sorts of different franchises but while that may have been the case in the beginning I don't think that is the case now. Take it from someone who has viewed quite a lot of this stuff and is active in that side of the fandom as well, most clop is indeed made by cloppers for cloppers. There are literally hundreds of tumblrs designed just for clop and clop not only of cannon character but of hundreds of OC's made and at least half the fics on fimfiction are clopfics. I think much of the success of clop is the fact that it is taboo and its taboo nature has made quite a few people curious and many of those curious people ended up um well I don't think I need to spell it out. People make such a fuss about it, more of a fuss than the R34 portion of any other fandom in history with the exception of the furry fandom so it is only natural for people to want to see what the hubub is about, I think much of the success of the show in general is due to natural curiosity.

In all honesty, it was a joke that seems to have gone to far. The autofill is temperamental. Let's say you search for some lyrics to a song:

True. I do see, and agree with what you say. But even so, I still think, if r34 never existed in the first place, and become so popular with mlp, then really, who would ever think to make pony porn to clop too. R34's past had to have sparked the idea.

Some extremely horny people get turned on by some strange stuff, how do you explain all the futa (girls with penises) and tentacle porn in hentai? It is pretty much why R34 exists in the first place, what a lot of people don't know is that there is clop of G1 too. Granted there isn't anywhere near as much of it and you do have to do some digging to find it but it is in fact there. There is a partial explanation on the tentacle thing as that originated with these obscenity laws passed in Japan years ago where anything that showed "penetration" was considered pornographic so that was used as a loophole but how it is still popular when that law was struck down quite a long time ago is a mystery to me. I think it is because the ponies are so human like that some peoples subconscious minds see them as so human that sexual attraction occurs in addition to of course porn being made of literally everything.

Thats just the thing, there is no good answer to "why?" Rule 34 exists, it just does, it's pretty unfortunate but my childhood had long been scarred by some shit posted to forums and when I was 12 and didn't yet know of the dark side on Newgrounds. Anyways, it's best just not to concern yourself with it, because if you do I promise you will regret it.

Well that's kinda what I'm saying. Because of the fact that it existed in the past, it exists today. It had to start somewhere. Most likely what with what you said something dealing with people. Probably ended up getting into kids shows with people like "Kim Possible." Then after it grew into a thing, it was also used as a weapon like said for 4chan. And that is what would have brought it to the ponies. Cuz it basically came out in g4 ponies as soon as it was hated. Which was instantly. There where 2 types of bronies on 4chan during that kind. There are the modern ones that love and tolerate, go to cons, watch the show, be nice to each other, talk on these forums, and stuff like that. Basically us. They where the ones who left 4chan when asked by the mods. There was also the kind who were stubborn and refused to leave. Most likely cuz they were actually /b/tards just who happened to watch the show a little bit, and then called themselves bronies. They weren't nice, didn't follow the "love and tolerate" motto, and were basically just wearing a mask. Most likely these would be the "bronies" who started making the clopping pics to actually clop to, rather than to troll in the flame wars. And I personally believe these people are still around, making all this stuff in our fandom, and think it's really funny. So unfortunately we still have to live with it, cuz it got itself in.

Yeah...Rule33: "Lurk more-it's never enough." That's a good rule to follow to keep yourself safe on forums. Basically it's saying make sure you understand the ropes of how it works before trying to make a name on the site, cuz otherwise if you just mess up and make a fool of yourself, you will be troll bait, which could result in "feeding the trolls," and that conflicts with rule14 "do not argue with trolls-it means they win."

I have seen people in serious denial before but wow, I have ideas for clopfics some of meant to tickle the funny bone and some meant to tickle a certain other "bone" and I might write them, does that mean if I were to write them that I would be part of the conspiracy? There's a difference between making accusations, and making a hypothesis. I'm terribly sorry if this got way further than wanted to go. Here's basically in short: All I was trying to do was give my idea, a hypothesis as to why I think it exists based off of the history I know of G4's orgin, and of what happened on 4chan at the time. I put them together to create a hypothesis of how it possibly could have happened. The great thing about hypothesizes is they are not theories and certainly not necessarily fact. Which is why other people, like you, give in your opinion as well, to help eventually come to the facts. That's basically how humans work when it comes to problem solving. That actually is a proven psychological fact though.

I don't see the problem with rule34 in general, it's not going to chip away any quality of other content, including the quality of the show itself. If you don't like it, you don't have to look at it, plain and simple. That doesn't mean you won't come across it, you will sometimes, that's a given, even the things that you dislike a lot.

 

There's no reason to stop and complain about it though. I mean, I see tons of things I don't like each and every day, but I don't need to complain about it, I just move along quietly, because there are others who do enjoy the things that I don't, and that's fine. I let them enjoy that in peace, and I don't need to bring it up.

But I personally feel like there is no way you can rely on parents to safeguard there children as 90% just don't understand internet culture or what it's like.

 

I also think google should do a better job at stuff like this. There is no way that even when you have safe search on, stuff like this should be coming up in the first few pages. I feel like we owe it to MLPs target audience to atleast try and protect them from this stuff still they understand it.
