"So what do you have in mind?" Orrin asked Coppermane as he followed.

Copper kept on walking, "well I plan to form three factions, then we keep doing what we have been doing, ambushes and raids, then after we cripple her army we take on Canterlot and put someone less corrupt in power. My problem is finding three men I can trust that can lead an army, and that's why your here... oh look here we are" it was a staircase leading up into what looked like an old house. Copper pulled Orrin and Sketches out of the tunnel and walked over to the door of the dark house. He threw open the door to the building and the two gasped in surprise.

 

*Warning depression ahead*

 

Copper led them onto the grey, abandoned street. All around houses crumbled to rotting piles of wood, a few orphaned fillies who were digging through someones garbage saw them an ran and hid in an alleyway. Some emaciated ponies watched them through doorways and windows while others were passed out on the side of the road from hunger and fatigue. The building they left looked like it was once painted a happy shade of pink, but now it was an ugly grey. The sign that hung awkwardly over the door read Sugarcube Corner. Copper looked at them sadly, "welcome to Ponyville" he said.

Orrin let out a sad, robotic screech.

"So this is what's becoming of Equestria now... It's so much different than before."

Orrin looked sadly upon the dying ponies, wishing he could do something to help. He whirred his chainsaws in anger at the thought of SkullCrown sitting comfortably at the throne as this went on.

"Pathetic ruler, I'll see you burn in he presence of the fire alicorn, and see you cut down at our talons, hooves, and rage."

He called to Coppermane.

"I've already a small band of rebels assembled. We can discuss our plans with them. The fire alicorn I mentioned is dealing with SkullCrown's forces with his army in his hometown, so it might take some time to call him."

Well that couldve gone better...but at least i still have my head on my neck, Inspired mused as she picked herself off the floor. One week to find a single pony, who could be anywhere in equestria by now? Inspired took off, too busy in thought to notice how weary her wings are. She flew up to Cloudsdale, the town had changed considerably over the last 1000 years, it was now one of the princess's main armouries. Often the pegasi bombers dragged storms to rebellious towns from this lofty height. Here Inspired geared up at her workshop. She wasnt going to be caught unprepared again.

A White pegasus enters the throne room and bows before the Princess " I am sorry from my lateness m'lady i had some other business to attend to"

Copper smiled "I had a feeling I could count on you Orrin, it seems you've already found a suitable candidate for replacing that tyrant. Before you go though, I want you to go to Old Cloudsdale, not the new one the princess turned into her factory-city, the real one where the citizens support the rebellion, I don't know the exact location, it floats around a lot, but I have a feeling you can find it. When you arrive look for a man named Schwartz, tell him what I told you, make sure he knows all of the damage the princess does, and tell him that we will fight for a better Equestria till the end and he can fight with us or without us, but there will be fighting". he turned to Sketches "Can you do a job for me? I want you to return to Appleoosa and gather the rest of Orrins followers and wait for his return. Best wishes to you both, and down with SkullCrown!" he nodded to each of them, and turned to walk back into Sugarcube Corner.

((for any of you who don't understand, there are two Cloudsdales, one is where the Princess forges weaponry and armor, the other ended up like Ponyville and is where Schwartz and his followers live))

 

 

 

Princess SkullCrown

 

The princess frowned at Twister as he entered, "Took you long enough, I would have you killed if you weren't my most loyal guard. The rebels have struck again, I am done with them, I want you to take all the best soldiers and flood the Everfree Forest. Kill everyone, no survivors!" she then smiled evilly, "you will do as I ask, won't you Twister" she hissed like a snake and waited for him to obey.

Still knelt " Of course M'lady but why not just said in a small group less attention and we can do it quickly and quietly the rebels wont know what hit them" He asked with his head looking knowing not to look her in the eye.

Princess SkullCrown

SkullCrown snapped, "I don't care how you do it, I just want it done!" She sent a blast of magic from her horn that hit him square in the chest, knocking him out of the room, she then slammed the door in his face.

Even though the door is closed he bows "Yes M'lady" Walks of to find his team

Orrin nodded as he took for the skies on his metallic wings in search of the City.

<Now where could this place be?>

Ponitearious (CopperManes assistant) ran to CopperMane with worry in his eyes. "CopperMane! You still walk? The word in the forest say otherwise. Was the ambush successful?

CopperMane looked up as he entered his forge, "huh, oh yes Ponitearius, the ambush was successful, I've just gotten back from Ponyville... I was meeting an old friend of mine. Say, you wouldn't have happened to have made any food would you? I'm starving" he said as he walked into the kitchen.

Ponitearious looked to the floor. "Um, well, I- I did! I made you a sandwitch with honey mustard, lettuce and the oh-so-delecious elements of hay bacon strips." Ponitearious' mouth watered. The sandwitch was made for himself, but he didn't want do disappoint CopperMane. I've also taken the priveiage of sharpening your scalples and getting the bloodstains out from the carpet.

Orrin flew around in search of the Old Cloudsdale. Through the clouds, je could faintly make out the outline of a moving city.

"I guess this must be it..." he said to himself.

Fully loaded out with her equipment, Inspired was ready to take the fight to these scum who dare disobey her princess. She takes a step, but her hoof falls through the cloud because of her weight, so she adjusts one of the many steam vents, then tries again. The apparatus she wore was originally made to help the earth ponies perfrom their duties on the communal fields, but with a few modifications it makes a very good tool of war. There had been reports streaming in all day into the former weather tower (now guard post) of known rebel movements. Inspired hardly has rank in the Skullcrown army but when a steam spewing, piston driven suit of armour towers over you demanding the latest intel...you give it to it. Inspired looks through it, and immediately sees a pattern, known pegasi dissenters had been noticed by The Watch meeting ponies along a loose line. She would follow this to the so called city of Old Cloudsdale, there she will get the info to find that barbaric rebel. Bracing herself Inspired forces the suit to vent steam at a massive rate, making her zoom off into the wide sky...it wont be long now.

CopperMane"Ugh, how many times do I have to tell you, I don't like honey mustard. You eat it, I'll make my own sandwich," he walked over to a chopping board and began making another sandwich. "Oh, and Ponitearious, did you by any chance remember to take the ashes out of my furnace and sprinkle them in the garden? It is good fertilizer." he turned around to face his eccentric assistant.((oh and KoI, perhaps i forgot to mention but Copper doesn't kill people, so it is unlikely there would be any blood on his carpet unless it was his own from when he hit his hoof with a hammer or something))

[Twister The Twisted 92]

Twister gathers a small group of loyal soldiers and himself gets suited up in golden armour with the princess's crest on its side once he and his forces are ready they head out to Everfree to fight the Rebellion.

Thunder Shock had been lurking, ever lurking, watching a patrol clumsily try to get their bearings.

She grinned and her horn began to glow. SHE was the one who knew the forest inside and out, as they would soon realize. She looked at the sky and nodded.

A streak of blue flashed by and there was a crack as a lightning trail followed. All of a sudden her troop rushed out and encompassed the patrol.

The fight was over in seconds, the patrols bodies carefully piled and snuck into the dark of the woods. Thunder nodded at a purple mare who also melted into the shadows.

"Take that, Skullcrown," whispered Thunder, and she too disappeared into the foliage.

CopperMane looked up as he heard the crack. He turned to his assistant, "What was that?," he then spun and ran out the door into the forest, looking back he saw Ponitearious galloping after him but he didn't slow down. Soon he reached a small clearing, at one end there was a heap of bodies, he noticed almost immediately they were Royals. He ran to them and brought out a scanner on his foreleg. He scanned the pile of limp bodies and then the rest of the clearing. Ponitearious entered the clearing breathing hard and CopperMane looked at him, "Who ever did this is skilled, according to my reading only about 3 Royals escaped, maybe less. Whoever did this would be a very useful pony to befriend." He looked at his assistant and smiled, "come with me Ponitearious, he have us a pony to find tomorrow, your going to need you sleep." and with that he left the clearing. Ponitearious collapsed from exhaustion.

Orrin flew at high speed toward the city, not risking a chance to lose it. He activated his built in jet thrusters and arrived there in a flash.

 

"Brass and any other bat winged pony, I demand your presence!" he yelled loudly

Thunder had apathetically observed the group. 3 Royals? Oh great. They're losing their touch.

She walked away quietly, unnoticed. Better talk to Indigo. And we should work on a new signal...Rain's getting too obvious.

 

(I use italics when my characters are thinking BTW.)

Inspired could see pegasi flying in the clouds up ahead, that wispy dark thing is Old Cloudsdale? No wonder the princess made a new Cloudsdale. The mare could see something metal speed ahead of her. One of the cybergriffons? i thought they were long gone from equestria. Reducing her output Inspired tailed the griffon, ready for action.

Whislt Searching for rebels Twister hears a crack of lightning " Shush...What was that?,,,,You two go check what that noise was quickly"

*Hostile Threat Incoming*

Orrin screeched in anger as he saw his radar. He had apparenly been tailed by a royal pegasus. He took to the skies and flew towards it.

CopperMane helped the exhausted Ponitearious to his bedroom and then went outside, the sun had fallen and the moon was just starting to rise. He looked back at his makeshift house, It has a huge hollow tree with a door in the front and a small garden off to one side, in the back he had a workshop and a forge. The moon was reflected in the upstairs window when something caught his eye, a pony flew in front of the moon, then a griffin, he spun around and noticed a giant shape in the sky not too far away, 'that's Old Cloudsdale' he thought 'it usually doesn't come anywhere near the Everfree Forest!' He ran into his house and threw open the door to his workshop, he grabbed a mechanism hanging on the wall and strapped the large metal wings on his back, he then ran out the door and flew into the sky towards Old Cloudesdale.
