You wouldn't think these two shows would have any similarities to them. But they both share a writer, Dave Polsky.

Kinda interesting to see how one writer can do two shows that are totally different from one another.

This is probably old news, but I just found this. It was mind blowing when I found it.

As long as they don't treat certain mumbling characters the same way in both shows, I might be okay with it. I mean, I'd be traumatized to tune in to watch My Little Pony only to be confronted with:

"Oh my God! They killed Fluttershy! You BASTARDS!" :(

Fun Fact about Scott Sonneborn: he wrote for the show "Celebrity Deathmatch," I'm not even joking.

"No matter how many times others tell you you're great, all the praise in the world means nothing if you don't feel it inside.......Sometimes to feel good about yourself, you gotta let go of the past. That way, when the time comes to let your greatness fly, you'll be able to light up the whole sky." -Cathy Weseluck as Spike

Dave Polsky has to have the most interesting resume on this show. As to how he got here, put that on Cartoon Network, that's where most of the original writers of this show got to know each other first.

"Now the Solar Empire has the Stick of Truth! Suck it, Lunar Republic!"

No, seriously, but that is awesome. It goes to show how diverse Dave is as a writer!

Oh gosh, Dave Polsky was on South Park? You know what that means. Time for one pony to die every episode and derpy would yell DERPY!!!

I'm waiting for one episode where they yell "Oh my god, the killed Diamond Tiara! YOU BASTARDS!" Oh how I wish.

Okay I went on IMDb to see what episodes he wrote. He helped write the episodes Pinkeye and Damion. Well Pinkeye was about a zombie attack which is funny looking at Twilight Time and the other one I can't think of any parallels for.

I thought Dave Polsky only wrote one episode, and assisted another one. And that was WAY back in season 2, where the show wasn't even (in my opinion) that great.

Yeah the show started out as mainly your typical gross out show and then  kind of evolved into the social commentary genius show as we know today.

I heard even Matt and Trey didn't really like anything before season 4.
