I was responding to an old thread after thinking about what original author said on this section of the forum.

While grimdark stories have a fan following and we should respect that, as long as they are adults and not children being exposed to horror stories like that, if we did not allow grimdark we would not have stories like Tales from the Crypt and A Nightmare on Elm St.

Pertaining to fan fiction involving Mane Six in My Little Pony becoming murderous, I don't believe Mane Six would like it if those fictional characters could exist in the real world and take a look at fan fiction people wrote about them. Twilight Sparkle would most likely find it offensive, I think Rarity would too.

That's part of the reason why I don't like writing those sort of fan fictions about them. Just my opinion but it feels unsettling to take a creepypasta direction with their characterization, think about it, my fan fiction is about an imaginary scenario where me and some other souls get reborn into Equestria, seems to me I would not be a good friend if I wrote grimdark stories like that about them.

When it comes to ethics, it's hard to ignore how primitive our species, human, is compared to some others in fiction.

 

There's a long list of twisted behaviour that humans do, genocides, animal cruelty to name a few.

if I continue on with my MLP fan fiction I don't know if I want to get too deep into all of that, it's not pleasant, but let's just say the mistakes Princess Luna and Princess Celestia make are pretty benign when compared to the horrors humans are capable of.

Going by the large rash where the bandaid was I can see the nurse was full of crap(Like I somewhat expected). I said I had an adhesive allergy. Not latex. I look up the specific bandaid she says these were and they are not for people with an adhesive allergy. It's unlikely Luna at the beginning of MLP FIM could have watched over dreams while banished to the moon, a binding spell usually keeps the captive in an alternate dimension or in this case, a astronomical object, the moon. During her time as Nightmare Moon, I suppose it would have been possible, but she was not interested in doing that at the time.

I can't say this is right, but I think it's just to make the most out of the time you have and be happy. You shouldn't feel the need to survive in this world, but just be able to live. (Of course, not everyone has the best situation.) You also play a key role in how your life is lived, so it's always the best to make great choices. Even when not so good choices are made, we can learn that way.

 

The experience we all have, life, is wonderful. All of the adversities are what mold you into the person you are. We are still wet clay that is being shaped. When our lifespan is up, we'll be fired and be statues which reflect the amazing person we became in the end.

 

We also have the power to wake up everyday. Even when some don't have all of their senses, we know the world is around us. Maybe take a moment to appreciate that you woke up today. ^^

I haven't played many MMORPGs in my life, but I always support the idea of keeping them alive throughout fan servers. I really don't like when you can't play a game because it's online focused and the official servers shut down ~☆
