I don't think the first 2 Halloweens are that scary, but I still don't reccommend letting kids watch them, they'll get nightmares for sure.

 

I think it sucks that children are exposed to adult rated media, unfortunately there is not much that can be done about it, because once the copy of the movie is in the possession of a parent or guardian, they pretty much have free reign to show it to whoever they want to behind closed doors. Sure, it is illegal to do it, but it's also hard to crackdown on, even if children had watched it, authorities would need to prove it was intentional for the parent to allow their children to watch it, or if they somehow obtained that copy by stealing or borrowing it from somebody else in their house. If they have plausible deniability, which they often do, nothing is done to stop it.

Ah, Disney's idiotic renewal delays were screwing over Ncuti in Doctor Who did it... Shame, I watched his debut and he seemed like a really fun guy for the role, sounds like both him and Jodie got fucked over by a series of horrendous decisions. The show has been straight up unwatchable since Capaldi left which is a shame because I really liked Jodie's Doctor and was excited for her story until I noticed they were doing nothing with her...

Why on earth would you involve Disney with something like Doctor Who. -_- I wish they'd stop wasting their budget on rubbish, tonally dissonant and dull cinematography and actually invest in good writers. Newsflash: nobody watched Doctor Who for top CGI or super dramatic cinema cinematography. The set was always campy because of budget and they had to work around it creatively so when you try to turn that into a "serious" look you mess with the entire feel of the set and it just loses character AND just looks bad. And the new writing doesn't make up for it either! Fuck I was so sick of these fake dramatic cinema filters in every episode, it's supposed to be a fun campy show not a fucking Hollywood film

I like discussing My Little Pony what ifs with Snoopy Fan, I even told him I love fantasy stories that involve magic, he likes the same, it is why I am not only a fan of Hasbro fiction like My Little Pony and Power Rangers, I am also such a big fan of DIsney movies like Beauty and the Beast, Aladdin, The Little Mermaid, Sleeping Beauty and Snow White.

 

Though admittedly a lot of other fictional worlds would suck to exist in, magic or no magic. DC comic universes and Dragonball universes being those, because they have gods that can erase a universe anytime without consequence or accountability. You want a Monarch to complain about? try Omni King, he is by far the worst character in the story, regardless of what Frieza has done, at least there are individuals who can stop him.

I look at Starforce's profile and was surprised in a bad way. I didn't expect him to be such a bad person. I talked to this person on Discord and I noticed that it was uncomfortable to talk to him, nothing bad happened, it was just uncomfortable, I didn't pay attention to it. Since nothing bad happened, he probably considered me invulnerable. If I knew what kind of person he really was, I would have immediately stopped communicating with him. Why didn't I understand this then? Is it because of a lack of communication experience? Why couldn't I recognize a wolf in sheep's clothing?! I noticed that it was uncomfortable to talk to him, oh, it turned out to be stupid of me.  It seems that I need to not only watch videos on psychology on YouTube but also read books on psychology.

I don’t know when I can read books on psychology, there are so many books that I want to read, I don’t know when I’ll find the time. I need to look on the Internet what books I need to read.

I mean. Like. Parents show their kids horror movies often. And I’m pretty sure some of them know who Micheal is because he’s one of the most well known characters in media in general. Look how many parodies in everything there are of him. It’s likely they have just heard it from somewhere. It doesn’t show they’ve seen the movies. You can know a characters name if it’s shown enough. You just. Pick it up. Fuck I knew who he was at like 8 years old and I still have never watched a single Halloween film. Because other shows like vaguely parodied him in some way for a Halloween episode or w/e. 

Plus it’s better at least just knowing his name which you know. They likely only do. Than knowing in full detail his every kill and listing them off with his name. And saying which is their favorite. Show me one little kid doing that too at least.   It’s not the best but they could be doing more to show how they know him. Because if they’re doing that along with knowing his name unless they’re like at least say 16 then it’s a problem. 16 is at least an age where they’re mature enough to handle it.

I find a lot of psychology stuff on YT to be pop psychology nonsense (people talking about "dark empaths", for example - rubbish!) If there is one book I would consider a must-read for psychology if you had to pick just one book, it would be 'For Your Own Good: Hidden Cruelty in Child-Rearing and the Roots of Violence' by Alice Miller.

Head's up! Normally, we do not encourage public talk about another user's wrongdoings since we try to be understanding - but the level of reports on this person and the level of which the rabbit hole goes with him - I am only going to speak my piece for the sake of encouraging abused or isolated victims to **please speak up** and to not hide or feel ashamed or like you do not matter to staff, as he was trying to paint it -- if I have to lead in example -- then so be it. Heck, even one of the moderators we currently have -- before he became a moderator -- was informed by that clown that joining us would be BAD! That bad things would happen to him just for being a mod here. Attempting to inflict fear and doubt in him about joining the ranks but luckily -- present moderator did not listen and stayed with us anyway to see for himself "just how bad it was." And guess not? Nothing the clown threatened was real. All lies to scare users away in isolation and give him power.

So, to stay relevant to the thread topic.

I am thinking that it is only fair to offer more elaboration on this. Since this is a particularly sad one for me.

Your post is a somber one for me to read. I am so sorry to see that you are right. If you only got "the creeps" from him and he did not do anything to you - it was because he perceived you were invulnerable. I remember he used to hate that I "appeared" soft but I was very firm and combative when he kept insisting I go to his Discord. I thought he was just desperate and lonely.. so I pitied him. But I told him I preferred the pastel colors of MLPF and not the dark, lonely environment of Discord. I did not come to MLPF to be on Discord.  This annoyed him, so I called him out on 2021 for being pushy and two faced when he did not get what he wanted.

Please do not beat yourself up -- and if you do study dark psychology -- please do not allow it to darken your world. Allow it to illuminate how you could improve from the situation. Every time I hear a story from this guy I keep saying "stupid me, I should have listened to my intuition!" Normally, I discourage discussing the bad things of a user because I do not like gossip or encouraging negative talk -- but the amount of people who have been hurt or abused and the deep level of which the rabbit hole goes is so bad... *sigh* I am not asking people to be saints as I am no saint, myself and I try not to judge others -- I kept giving him the benefit of the doubt despite calling him out in 2021... but apparently I acted as some shield or enabler because he would "cling" to me in public to make people think I would protect him... while being very sneaky around me about what he was really doing. Then in private he acted "so nice" to people when he wanted something. Always requesting free art. If you are an artist -- chances are -- he popped in your DMs. (If you are a new user who is an artist who does not know this guy -- consider a bullet dodged) But there were many red flags. His arrogance. His snark and pushiness, for one. I just ignored it as 'eh, not my cup of tea, I will not judge.' I really do try my best not to judge even if something makes me VERY uncomfy...

Now, here is the kicker...

You want to call yourself stupid? How do you think I feel? There were some users who stopped returning here... I wanted to check up on them since it seemed so abrupt and strange. I commented it to him and he CRIED and begged me to please not reach out to them. I asked him why and he said something that -- in hindsight -- pretty much gives him away. But at the time, he made it seem like the users HATED it here and preferred their real life and were just "happier elsewhere." They started getting bullied in other places like DA and FimFiction so their self esteem lowered... and they just felt that was life... I did not know until much much later when evidence emerged and I reached out to the hurt people to ask why they had disappeared so suddenly. :/ I should have been pushier to ask -- but I like to respect people's boundaries...

This is why even when Sketch disappeared, I was so alarmed and kept asking and reassuring her that if something happened -- we had her back. To please report it. She was confused since things have changed here greatly (for the better) since he has been gone... things are more.. functional. Peaceful. Less uncomfortable and tense...

Anyway...

That "girlfriend" he made before suddenly having to "leave everyone" for some "mysterious reason" (yeah, leaving memories of almost 10 years? really? why?) was just one of many users he was isolating from MLPF -- using fear mongering tactics and old traumas to isolate them... even a sweet user who loved being here-- he made her less friendly and more bitter and angry at the world based on complete lies... I thought they simply hated us -- so I wanted them to go where they would be happier.. but no.. he was acting like he had "secret intel of mlpf site" to terrify them from reporting him to people here.. he made their world so much darker when in truth -- even users of MLPForums do not support his behavior at all. 

He was then using his (super low rank) as a symbol of power as if he "had secret intel on staff." RP staff is not even privy to what ECs are able to do -- like engaging with Cast Characters, etc. What silly "intel" did he claim to have? Then he would doctor screenshots to pin users against each other (in private, in discord). He HATED seeing wholesome groups together. Even tried to attack The World Cup event in 2023. Always something ominous with him. But we figured he was just... strange. Plus we had no evidence since nobody was speaking up! Some were even believing his lies against staff being evil. And then that weird warning he tried to offer as an exit, laughing that he was trusted, before evidence emerged and he got caught last minute. 

Many are hurt by this so I would like to at least turn this into a PSA -- please know that neither staff nor users of MLPForums condone this behavior. Ever. And anyone who does, should be reported. If you see something strange -- please report it. If someone creeps you out -- and you feel they may be a threat to the community -- please report to staff (with evidence). We do not ban easily just because someone is "a little strange," you have to have hard evidence but if you need to vent, we will listen and keep it anonymous, as well.

Do not allow ANYONE to isolate you on Discord or another platform even if they seem to be bonding with you over "secrets they have on other users" because there you cannot make reports as effectively. If you check your chats with him -- he used an illegal hack to swipe all the evidence clean. He would not have been able to do that here.. so luring people desperately into Discord was his forte. Even if you had said no, he would keep pushing repeatedly. Please do not tolerate this and simply report to staff. Reports are anonymous.

With that said, more than ever, I want you guys to please connect more with each other and the people you do feel safe with, check up on them, see if they are okay. I feel SO bad that many were bottling this in because they thought we would protect him. :/  

If anyone is trying to lure you away from your protection... see it as a red flag. This site exists thanks to staff providing it for you guys to enjoy. Why the hay would we sabotage it by trying to hurt users? O.o
