I wish there was a AI tool that could recognize the difference between fantasy and reality, not treating every dark fantasy as an intent on real life harm. ChatGPT is bad. That would be the last technology I would ever trust with something as advanced as say, virtual reality.

I empathize with your difficulty in dealing with that. "The customer is always right slogan", was always wrong.

One of the most cringy lines I heard in movies. Sometimes customers make bad choices just as everyone else does, there's insurance but insurance does not cover negligent behavior last I checked.

i was going to ask you if you check out Google Gemini? I think it’s one of the good common AI, useful for ideas and brainstorming. ChatGPT was good but i think after that one incident that left someone with a bad case of “psych wards”, every AI formats has becoming stricter and more filtered unfortunately.

Perhaps there's other areas it is useful for, but ChatGPT clearly isn't built for writing dark adult/NSFW material or roleplay. It's way too heavy handed with the censoring, even if you register an account with it presumably it makes no difference, I don't like it.

Writing our own material at home comes in handy that way though, at least we can credibly say what we write with it is our own ideas and not just RNG generated content from a robot.

It’s okay you’re good, I know you’re not referring to me. I was adding a penny for a thought on that quote. How they’d use any kind of excuses just to be rude.

I think They could at least have a version for 18+ and have it as paid bundle upgrades for it. To prevent younger users to use that version.

It's been a good while since I last touched it but the writing portion of Novel AI could get incredibly dark and 18+ at times (I had to adjust it to be toned down for my personal taste). It had a lot of adjustability and can memorize and recall a lot of context quite well from what I remember too.

Anyways I still can't get this weird audio mixing video out of my head. I talked about it on bluesky but it was just so many unnecessary decision after unnecessary decision. Most of those processing effects were either doing nothing or just made no sense and it just hurts my head idk.  whats the point of putting transient processing on birds chirping? And not even lowering the ceiling on the limiter to catch any peaks, meaning nothing is actually being limited? So pointless. But hey they're the one raking in almost a billion views on multiple 10 hour background sound effects vids so what do I know?
