Special mentions I'd ask you to consider is Miracle on 34th Street 1994 and A Christmas Carol 1984. I've seen both of them, but not The Muppets Christmas Carol yet, though I have it on bluray, I've put off watching it to spend time with family, I've recently visited my Dad's house, after spending the whole afternoon there I gave him and his wife best wishes for a happy New Year and hoping to see them next year's Christmas. 

Thanks for the recommendations. My sister and I watched a few Christmas movies and we both loved these two: How the Grinch Stole Christmas and especially The Muppets Christmas Carol. It's a fantastic movie. This movie also reminded me of an episode of MLP.

We also watched The Polar Express, but we didn't like it at all, and Happy New Year, Charlie Brown, which we didn't particularly like, but it was much better than The Polar Express.
