Hating or disliking the shy is not much different to despising the weak for me. I just leave it with that such a mindset is not very pleasant.

Yes... and no. When I say dislike in this topic I mean it more like "it doesn't appeal to me" I have nothing against Fluttershy, I like her, but I probably wouldn't become close friends with her and I like the rest of Main 6 much more. As someone who is shy, I know how hard it can be to open up a little, but I also know that it's necessary if you want to live with others.

 

And as I said: you just can't use it as an excuse. And shyness is not an illness. If you're shy - you should work and try to become more confident, more open. It's hard, of course, but not impossible.

If you define Pinkie Pie as obnoxious rather than happy, random ad cheerfull, then you would probably have to shoot me and all of my friends irl. Also....

Even if she made Rarity and Pinkie Pie cry, she realised her mistake and heavily regrets it. I mean, come on! The whole episode was about Fluttershy trying to man up and stand up for herself, and eventually regret all the pain she caused!

 

The point is, we need characters like Fluttershy to stray from their comfort zone to keep them from being boring characters and still keep them fun to watch and their personalities fresh.

 

Some of these people simply don't understand. Are they against Fluttershy trying new things? We all love such an adorable personality, but that doesn't mean we should just allow Fluttershy to become such a stale character.

I've never encountered any haters that have a deep hatred for Fluttershy, mostly I see people that don't like her or her personality. Not to have a mean streak against her.

I also things Fluttershy's timidness sometimes gets on peoples nerves to after a while, I mean not me I love her, but some people that have never been shy just hate her because the don't properly understand her character so they get pissed.
