Anyone else almost prefer assertive Fluttershy over normal Fluttershy?

tbh, I'd rather have normal Flutters if I had to choose someone to be alone with on an island, but assertive Fluttershy was a much more interesting character I think. I only wish she vented her anger out on someone who deserved it (I'm looking at you, Gilda). I'm almost hoping we get the return of Flutterb**** in a future episode (although that might ruin her character a bit, that would mean she would've backslid, so maybe not a good idea)

Fluttershy has a rather hot temper to begin with, especially when one of her friends or animal friends is getting picked on, assertive Fluttershy just seems to be hot tempered ALL the time, not just when needed, also her rage is more than likely her way of venting insecurities about herself, so if she can get rid of those insecurities then she should improve greatly as a character.

Well, she wouldn't be fluttershy then.

Yeah, that's true. But I was thinking, maybe some future villain could be close to defeating the mane 6, and all of Flutters friends got owned. Then, she'll be like "I know my friends need me, but I'm too weak to do anything". Then, just like that, assertive Fluttershy comes out and, if you wanna get an idea of the walloping she'd give the villain, just watch around the end of Smile HD (warning, it's a gory video).

Edit: Basically, I'd like Flutters to have a dark side that comes out only when she or her friends are in extreme danger. Like that one anime/manga where a girl gets an alter ego, due to her always getting bullied. And the alter ego gets her in trouble, but also comes to her aid whenever she needs it.

I wonder what they'd do with the name if they had Fluttershy not being shy anymore.

Flutterkind, Flutter??

Also wonder how pony names work. Seems kinda sad that most of them are destined to do whatever the name suggest for the rest of their lives.

Makes me curious about Granny Smith. Sure, she got her name because she's a granny and helps run an apple farm, but she wasn't always a granny. Did she not get her cutie mark until she was old then change her name to Granny Smith?

Assertive Fluttershy... the same one from putting your hoof down.

I prefer normal Fluttershy to tell you the truth. Why you ask? Cause I believe the reason I love Fluttershy and she is right below Dashie for best pony imo, is because out of every pony of the mane six, I could actually relate to Fluttershy the most, because I am a very shy person, who doesn't really speak his mind, has stage freight and loves animals. So, if she goes back to being assertive I have less in common with one of the ponies I really liked.

No, "assertive" Fluttershy worked quite well for that episode and only for that episode, if we had "assertive" Fluttershy come back for nearly every reason I can think of it would just be another example in a long list of inconsistencies in the way Fluttershy is being written which is becoming a longstanding problem with her that continues to get worse and worse. Don't get me wrong, I do like Fluttershy but what would be the point of her being "assertive" again? She already "learned" her lesson in Putting Your Hoof Down that while she shouldn't be a pushover that there is a way to assert herself without being unnecessarily vindictive and cruel. I put it in quotes because of the inconsistencies I referenced with Fluttershy which is quite simple, she "learns" a lesson, forget it and then remembers it when it is convenient for the plot of a future episode. The only place I want to see "assertive Fluttershy" in besides Putting Your Hoof down is in fanfics.
