K, hey, just out of curiosity, do you think Katie has strong presence as a likable character, or do you think she's unlikable and wish-washy? I have a hard time deciding if my work is good or not and I tend to be over-critical of myself. So I'm kinda freaking out just a little bit over it. Honestly, what do you think of her?

I don't really know, to be honest. I mean, I do find her likable, but sometimes it's hard for me to get a feel for her personality. Now, that might be partly your fault for the way you write her, but I think it's also partly because I haven't been interacting with her character directly enough. But really, your work is very good overall, though your hardly the first person to question just how good they really are. Most of the best do, in my experience, and I think that's actually, in a strange way, part of what makes them so good.

ill bite, but i have to say my character will be similar to my main mlp oc in terms of power and capabilities, i.e.  bankai and all that will have been learned by him so before i make a new character i would like you to let me know if that will be possible

I know. I'm kind of participating already. On a side note, it's probably best not to "cross the streams" as it were, between OOC threads. I imagine the one or two people on this thread who aren't on that one are pretty confused right now.

Yeah, I know. I'm never any good at starting off RPs. Just come up with a reason why your character is awake right now, and post about that. I just need to set the stage right now, and then it'll be easier to move forward.

I feel I'll mention here that I already have a second character in mind that I want to bring in, this one being a Lieutenant for some Division that I've not thought of. This is my curse: I create too many characters for things .

Yep, fine. Go ahead and make them if you want to. But 11th squad lieutenant already belongs to a plot-critical character, so that one's off limits, and I'll just tell you right now that things are going to be kind of weird if you pick the twelfth. Besides that, go ahead.

I figured you'd show up here sooner or later. If you want to get in on this, I suggest you move fast. Otherwise it'll make working your character in more difficult. Of course, at the pace this is going at right now, "fast" pretty much just means within a day or two.

Ditch (the one who just found you) isn't a captain. Although really the fault is mine for never establishing that. But he's not. He's third seat on the eleventh squad, which is still pretty high, but since they don't wear anything indicating their rank, you wouldn't know it.

 

On that note, I never did post anything about my characters. So I'll do that now. I'll be introducing other characters later, and I'll post their information when appropriate. Also, I'm not giving much detail on purpose. I don't want you all knowing everything yet.

 

Takahiko Masaru: 7th squad captain. His zanpakutou, Kettousha, changes to a rapier in shikai (release command is "strike, Ketousha"), but has no apparent special abilities. His bankai is known only to a few people, as he rarely uses it. Although he's relatively young for a captain, his skill and form with a sword are impressive even by captain standards.

 

Ditch: 11th squad third seat. His zanpakutou, Beast, increases his strength and morphs into his body, becoming a set of claws on each hand in shikai (release command is "let loose, Beast). Hasn't achieved bankai. No memories prior to death and arrival in Soul Society. His name is the one thing he remembers, and it's origin is a mystery even to him.

I never stated what sort of zanpakutou Glisten Dew has. She has an illusion based zanpakutou and when she releases it in shikai, she says "koe o osoreru, Mōsō (fear the voices, Paranoid)". Her shikai stage is all about auditory hallucinations. Basically, whoever Glisten Dew is fighting, they can hear voices telling them of their greatest fear.

Alright. On a side note, because I feel this is important to establish, I'm assuming that everyone is relatively close to each other, whether they realize it or not. Like, within a city block, anyway, but with walls and stuff between them.
