This is assuming that Tia found out that anyone can be redeemed with enough love and affection, but she isn't sure how long it would take. In the event that you do reform her, Luna doesn't know how to take you back, but she'll keep you company anyway, so she can continue to serve her penance, and Tia doesn't know how to return humans from the moon. Also, you would be able to breathe in space, and either Tia would put a spell on you that prevents you from needing food, or you would somehow have a supply of food while on the moon. When you die, Tia would thank you by letting you be reborn on Equestria, although you would lose all your memories from your past life, but you'd have two very thankful alicorn princesses, and you would be able to live in Equestria. And this would be your only hope of ever being able to go to Equestria. A millenium is a long time, even someone as dysfunctional as me eventually has to make some headway. Thinking back, NMM wasn't the eminently more approachable Luna in that form-and it took some serious beating down to get her back out of it. I think the novelty would wear off fast-and you'd have 1000 years of misery to deal with-which is a very long time.
