Stahl stood up, and extended his hand to help Ditzy up. Once she was up, he moved over To the gondola, and offered Aaron a snack.

 

"Here, you didn't eat one, and seeing as how this journey will be VERY tiring and stressing on our bodies, you should fuel up" He says to the scientist.

Aaron gladly took the snack and began to eat. Giving Stahl an appreciative nod. Once they were all inside, Trixie's horn began to glow and the gondola began to move. She sat in silence, hunched in a corner in the metal basket and her mind deep in thought. Ditzy, sat close to Stahl. Giving off a smile as she sat. Aaron finished the little snack and threw the wrapper over the edge. They all sat in silence until it was finally broken. "Why did you save me." Aaron and Ditzy looked to Trixie, still in the fetal position. "Why did you save me from the changelings?"

Stahl sat and was happy when Ditzy sat next to him. He scooted a little closer to her and smiled back sweetly at her. As they sat, he thought about his past, that is, until Trixie spoke.

 

The question puzzled him slightly, and he looked to Aaron, wondering how he would answer to the blue mare

Aaron looked to Trixie utterly puzzled. Ditzy spoke up. "Uh, Trixie. He doesn't speak." She looked over Aaron. "Bullshit. I see a tongue in that mouth of his. Trixie demands that he explains himself." Aaron tilted his head in confusion. "Don't give Trixie that look. Trixie has been nothing but a burden on you. On all of you. And yet you saved her from meeting her end. Why did you save Trixie's life?" Aaron looked the other two over and began to write in a note, but was interrupted when the whole mass was taken from his hand and thrown over the edge. HE tried to reach for one, but it was too late. "No! No notes. You tell Trixie why you did what you did." Aaron could see tears starting to develop in her eyes.

"Trixie. the reason I stopped to see if Aaron  would get you, was because you are an alliy. You have helped us, without you, we would not be this far. While you may feel worthless, know you are not.  But, I do feel Aaron may have had his own reasons for saving you as well" He says looking to the mute.

Trixie looked to Stahl. "Then let him say it." Her attention immediately turned to Aaron. "Well. Trixie wants to know your answer." Aaron took in a deep breath and exhaled. But he still did not speak for a few seconds. "Because I find you interesting." Aaron had asked her a question. But what was more surprising is that Aaron had spoken. "W-What do you mean?" Aaron set his gaze upon her. "I find you utterly fascinating. Not because of the telekinetic properties. But as a person. You may hide behind a high and mighty persona. But I can see past that. And what I see is something all too familiar."

Stahl nodded to his responce. His voice was not as he had imagined, but that tended to be how things were when guessing. They were useually wrong or off in some way.

 

"You happy trixie ? " Stahl asks her before  looking down at Ditzy  to see how she took all that in.

Trixie was not expecting this. "Trixie, I see past all your little facades. I know full well what you are. Alone. And in that, I saw myself. So to answer your question Trixie. I saved you, because I like you. You may be a lot of things, but whether you like it or not, I'll be there next to you. Because the lonely stick together. Ironically." The gondola became much more silent than ever.

" A most interesting thing to say. Aaron. The lonely stick together. And I can not say weather t is true or not, as I have always been in the presence of comrades. But none the less. " Stahl says.

 

He wished he could say that he liked Ditzy to her. But it just seemed....hard.... to him

The gondola became awkwardly quiet. No one wanted to speak and Aaron went back to his preferred silence. Minutes had passed as they traveled through the fog and rain. Aaron peered over the edge to see how far off they were from land. Ditzy felt she had to break the silence. "So... um. W-Why don't we chare some things about ourselves." She gives Stahl a nudge to try and get him to help her remove the silence.

"Well.. I am a soldier... as you know, from the country of Germany, fighting in the biggest war the world has ever known. I am called a Stormtrooper, I am specially trained to covertly cross no mans land, and enter enemy trenches to wipe out resistance in them" He says.

Ditzy gave a nod. "Okay, that's something. Trixie how about you?" She gave a sigh and paused for a minute. "I'm... a washed up street magician. I tried my best to put on shows for the inhabitants, telling false stories of adventures I never took. Now... I'm a conductor." Ditzy didn't feel like she was getting anywhere in improving the mood. "Aaron, what about you." He raised his head. "I-... I'm a scientist that is, or was, studying the various effects of quantum mechanics. It was my job to get buildings to stay up in the air without falling. Guess that wont get to happen."

"Hehe, now you sound like one of those 935 people Aaron. " stahl chuckles. He had heard many things, gasses that dong kill you, but make you sleep forever, bringing the dead back to life. Many odd things. But this Aaron  had proof.... his existence.

 

He turned to Ditzy and smiled at her.

 

"So what about you ?" He asks

"O-Oh. Well, I was a mailmare. I used to deliver letters throughout the town. Back when people lived there." She began to think of her next question. "Okay, here's one. Biggest fear?" Trixie began to re-energize herself to answer the questions they'll be traveling for a while, so might as well pass the time. "Trixie is..." Her tone was not boastful, but sounded calm. "Trixie fears failure. Its stupid, but its the truth." Ditzy looked to Aaron and he responded with one word. "Spiders." Trixie looked to him with a raised brow. "Really? You just faced zombified parasites, but you fear spiders?" "Well, its better than atychiphobia." The two gave a chuckle as they started to enjoy the little game.

" I am afraid of two things. One.I am afraid of dying horribly in this war. I am so afraid one day, I wont be able to put my mask on fast enough during a gas attack, or be in the wrong spot at the wrong time when a shell lands. And I am afraid ogf...well....never finding love" Stahl says.

Ditzy gave his arm a nuzzle. "I think... I think I can help comfort one of those fears." Ditzy gave a blush as she held onto Stahl. But she felt it was right. Trixie and Aaron just watched and made a little bit of eye contact with each other. Trixie gave a smile to Aaron and he returned it

Stahl blushed suprisingly bright at Ditzy's display. Stahl smiled and wrapped an around around her shoulder 

 

"R-really ? D-ditzy?" Stahl stuttered a little not knowing really what to say or do. He felt a bout of happiness hit him as he awaited the next few moments.

Ditzy held Stahl close. Trixie gave a smile to their display and looked to Aaron. Thinking that she could have a shot at him if she played her cards right. Ditzy didn't know how to continue. But before she could their ride came to a stop. Aaron got up to see a city in the distance. The rest was wet field, made moist by the rain. Trixie believes it is time to move on."

Stahl smiled and planted a small, light, kiss on the side of Ditzy's cheek before standing up and extending a hand to once again help her up. Once he did and smiled to her and then looked out to the city in the distance, unsure of what awaited them in the urban jungle.

Ditzy returned the kiss on Stahl's cheek and the group would now move on to the next sky tram. The group begins to walk to the city. Ditzy staying close to Stahl. Trixie and Aaron kept watch if there were any trouble. "Hey, Tri-... I'm sorry for what happened back there. I'm just a little-" Aaron holds his hand up and gives her a wave. Telling her its alright. The city was getting closer and Aaron could see that it was not a normal one.

Stahl was fluttering inside. He knew he was attracted and liked Ditzy. But now that he knew that she liked him back, it was something else. Something wonderful. But he still did not let his guard down. He knew the area he treded was  hostile, and he needed to keep Ditzy, and himself, safe.

The group had made it to the city. There were lights everywhere and it illuminated the streets. But that's not the strangest thing. There were ponies out and about. Not two or three. But they were covering the streets. A few guards could be seen in the midst, but they didn't seem to be a threat. Trixie looked to them with an annoyed look. "Oh, Trixie remembers this place. Its Las Pegasus. The once famous quick fix for bits, now the city of sin. Keep on your guard and your wallets."

"I I even had a wallet to keep hold of" Stahl said as he followed the group. Normally he would have been exteremly catious and untrusting of the surrounding. But having Ditzy close by helped him keep calm, and allowed him a bit of thought as they traveled.

 

"So were too ?" Stahl asked.

Trixie began to look around the place. SHe found a water proof map of the area and tried to look it over through the constant pelting of rain. "Acording to the map, the next sky tram is on the other side of the city. A day and a half walk. But, for now, Trixie suggest we look for a place to rest. ITs been a while since Trixie had any."

"Hmm I agree. If this is like any city, it should have places of cheep accommodation" Stahl says looking around the place, then at Trixie's map. 

 

The city was HUGE, bigger than any he had been in. It was very interesting the way the layout worked out and branched.
