Ambrosia's head perked up in surprise at Braveheart's sudden question, "Lately? Um, well, I guess not. Or maybe recently would be a better term." She swirled what little coffee was left in her cup around, and looked down at, suddenly nervous. "I kinda just got out of a relationship to be honest..."

"Oh," he said, his ears drooping. "I'm sorry to hear that. But now I wonder... Why would anyone break-up with such a sweet and loving mare like yourself? That just doesn't add up..."

 

He then finished his drink.

 

Ok, just take it slow and sweet, he thought. Then maybe ask her out on a date later.

She continued to look down into her cup contemplatively, "well..." Ambrosia started to respond. She didn't know if she wanted to divulge too much information, but a little honesty couldn't hurt, if she kept it vague. "She and I... well, we kinda hit a rough patch, and we had some arguments. we both got pretty upset at each other, to be honest." 

 

"Though, she had every right to be upset with me, looking back on it..." she thought, but, kept to herself.

 

"We stopped speaking for a couple days. I tried contacting her, to make things right, but she wouldn't answer."  Her hands started to tremble as she held her nearly empty cup. "Eventually, I just gave up. I packed my bags and left home; I never even got a chance to say goodbye..." some tears were starting to form, but she tried her best not to cry in front of this pony she had only just met. She lowered her head even more.

 

"What am I even saying? I shouldn't have talked so much. I didn't want to think about this. And Braveheart probably isn't interested in my problems... he has more important things to worry about."

 

She set her cup down on the table, and tried to turn away without showing her face to Braveheart. "I'm sorry, I shouldn't be boring you with my problems. I think maybe I should go..." she stood up from her seat.

He blushed a bit, out of the awkwardness he was about to say.

 

"Believe it or not, I'm good with helping others with problems..."

 

He stood up, holding her hand and wiping her tears.

Ambrosia stifled a sniffle as Guardian Braveheart wiped away her tears. She really didn't like it when others saw her cry. "But, I..." she muttered.

 

"He's right, though. I shouldn't be moping about! Come on, me, perk yourself back up!"

 

But, she couldn't. Her thoughts kept drifting back to the good times she spent with Autumn Wind, and the knowledge that it was over made those memories bitter. "I really miss her... but, now it's like she's just somepony that I used to know." She said, gripping Braveheart's hand tightly.

He suddenly hugged her, letting her cry on him.

 

"There there, It's alright," he said, trying to comfort her. "Everypony has a tendency to change... for better or worse. We just have to pick ourselves up and move on. Living in the past... that just brings more suffering to anyone. We just gotta look forward to the future... and hope everything will play out like you planned it would be."

"W-wow, really ?  Well..... I have to admit.... I would love to get to know you too. I mean.....you seem really interesting yourself" Solar stutters a little. He was a bit nervose, but he was not going to let this chance slip through his fingers. He had to be brave, unlike before.

Scarlet smiles, then gets out a card with her hotel on it, she then gives it to him, "So it's a date then? Say, 8pm?" she smiles "Here's my hotel, i'm in the penthouse suite, see you then cutie" she says, kissing him on the cheek before getting up and leaving. Swishing her tail a little.

Solar sit's and blushes at what just happened. He had never been on a date before. Hell. He had never gone this far EVER with a girl. He would be sure to make a good first impression. This mare seemed REALLY nice, not to mention she was really cute. He had to do good.

Scarlet took the first cart back to the hotel and lay down on her bed, sighing. She looked at the time, it was still early. "Why did I have to make it so late?" She asks herself, "He could be the one, the stallion who loves me for me, and I had to make both of us wait!" She buries her face in her pillow and cries.

Solar races back home as fast as his legs would carry him. He zoomed through the market place, and down the main street right to his room and shut the door. From there, he took off all of his clothes and immediately searched his closet for something a bit nicer to wear.

Time went by rather quickly, yet it still hadn't reached 8pm. Scarlet looks at the phone, hoping that Solar would ring her number, she was starting to feel desperate. "Buck it!" She goes into the bathroom and begins to get ready for her date, "Better make sure I look good for him"

"Yeah... yeah, I know. You're right." she said, with wavering confidence. She pulled away from him gently, not wanting to cry on him anymore. "I want to move on, that's why I'm here now instead of Cloudsdale. But... I think I still have to take some time to sort my emotions out."

 

"I'm sorry, I think I may have led you on..." she looked away from Braveheart. She disliked it when she had to break a stallion's heart. "I didn't mean to, I just... well, you are a nice guy and all, but I'm not really ready to get involved with anypony right now. I think it'd be best if I stayed single for a while longer."

 

She smiled at him, trying her best to not hurt his feelings, "I think anypony would be happy to be with you, though. So I want you to promise me that you won't be so lonely anymore!" she exclaimed.

Then a pony named Mach Blast walked in he was tall with a Flaming Hoof cutie mark symbolizing his speed. Though he was simply an Earth Pony he could travel faster than most Pegasus!

 

"Whats going on everyone?" Mach said.

 

The blue pony sat on the floor he had a red mane and tail as well as white hoofs.

He just gave off a disappointed sigh.

 

Ok, I have no chance for her... he thought.

 

"Well, if that's what you say, who am I to argue," he said, shaking her hand. "Hopefully, I've helped you the best I can... So... maybe someday we'll cross paths again. But for now, this is goodbye, I guess. It was nice meeting you..."

 

He took his sword and went out of the cafe, feeling a bit sad that he had no shot to her.

Soon  Solar walked up and picked up the phone and pulled put the slip of paper that contained Scarlet's phone number. He rung her number up and stood crossing  his fingers, hoping she would pick up.

"Scarlet you there" He asked. He held his breath as the static of cyberspace rung through his ears.

Scarlet had just finished putting her makeup on, then hears the phone ring, she rushes over to it, nearly tripping over her dress. She picks the phone up, "hello, this is Scarlet." She then hears a familiar voice, "Solar, is that you? I was...I was just thinking about you"

As Star drank the last sip of her tea and finished off her lunch her glance shifted to the entrance of the cafe. A blue unicorn had just walked in and had drawn her attention. Something about his expression worked on her curiosity. She gestured over to him, greeting him with a friendly "hey there~". Getting up from her seat and trotting over to him she continued, "it's way too nice of a day today to be looking like you just lost your puppy. Is everything okay?"

"Oh, hi," he said, cheering up a bit.

 

"It's nothing. I... I just helped out a sweet mare with her relationship problem... but it ended up hurting me in return. But Anyways, I was more than happy to help out, even if it would backfire on me."

 

He looked up to her again.

 

"So, what's your name?"

"Yeah it's me. He, same here. I've  been thinking about you all day. I basically spent all of today running around franticaly tryin to get stuff and prepare and basically all around just get ready to meet you"   he admitted, breathing a little erratically

Solar breathes a sigh of relief and smiles as he speaks. 

 

" I will be right over there as soon as  I can. This will be so much fun" He says and smiles at the phone.

 

My god she is beautiful.... I can not wait to meet her in first person.....To get a first kiss.....so much to look forward too

"Okay, see you then." She hangs up the phone and rushes into the bathroom, she touches up her make up and smiles. "He's so cute, I hope he likes me the same way I like him" She then adjusts her dress and jewelry to make herself as beautiful as possible. She then sits on the lounge and waits for Solar to arrive.

Star gave the colt a short sympathetic look. "Ah, I see. Well, if it helps you any, hearts bruise quickly but I've found that they can also heal pretty fast."

 

She smiled and offered him a hoof to shake. "My name's Starstream, or just Star if you prefer. I was just on my lunch break and I'll need to get back to work soon. Would you mind if I stuck around for a bit until then? I've got nothing to do for a while."
