The sound of the gunshots echoed around the cave as the suppressing gunfire flew past her, and bullets that were supposed to hit warped around her protective tornado, redirecting it away from her. Hikari watched as one of them grabbed the unconscious hunter and fled behind the one who was shooting his gun. Zeke on the other hand triggered a runic trap, but with the power of his glowing birthmark, he broke it. As an observer, Hikari took down some mental notes about his powers. "Interesting.." She said as she stared at the light. Hikari knew she couldn't just walk into gunfire like that since she couldn't deflect all the bullets. She looked at Zeke and saw blood coming out of his shoulder. 'Did one of the shots get him?' She thought before running over to Zeke and asked "Are you okay?"

Zeke continued to fire shots from his Berretta until his mag was empty. The slide of the Beretta remained stuck open as all pistols do when they run out of ammo. Zeke pushed the mag release, dropping the mag from the bottom of the grip. Zeke grabbed another magazine from his pocket and slid it into the gun, pushing down the take-down lever on the side of the gun, which released the slide forward loading a round into the chamber of the gun. 

Hikari ran over to Zeke and asked if he was okay

"Huh?", Zeke asked as he was shooting a few more rounds off. He looked down at his should and realized what she was talking about.

"Oh this. I should be fine", Zeke said, "Normally my quick regeneration kicks in within five minutes of an injury, it should close up soon." 

As he said that, the bullet lodged in his arm seemingly pushed itself out of the wound, as the wound began to close itself up. The wound was still open a bit, but Zeke noted that it should be mostly healed in a couple of minutes.

Even though she was relived that Zeke was fine, the fact that his wound healed up all by itself scared her a bit. 'What exactly is he..?' She thought. As much as she wanted to ask him, it just wasn't a good time to be questioning him. The enemies could strike any time and she wanted to make sure her group have the upper hand. She turned her head and shouted "Let's go!" to the others before she started sprinting towards the bandits which should be just around the corner. Hikari had an idea on how to take down the opposing group and she felt pretty confident about her powers and how capable she is.

Akira, the ice spirit female version, was busy using inhumane calculations to deflect gunfire while she thought of the best way to deal with these... hunters. It bothered her a bit that this artifact the others spoke of was so coveted that anyone searching for it was oblige to fight anyone else searching for it. In any event, these ones were attacking her charge. Contract dictated that they should be taken down. Use of deadly force was cautioned, but granted. She slowly advanced towards the enemy so as to not open herself up. Blocking AK-47 fire was difficult, but her ice was refreezing fast enough to deal with the bullets she missed.

Misha started to hear gunfire as he followed the group to the hunters room, he quickly formed a rune for a protection barrier as he proceeded. A large sheet of glowing yellow energy emitted from his palm like a shield, following his hand wherever he pointed. He used it to block the suppressive fire from the AK-47. Using his free hand, he started drawing another rune as he rounded the corner to come into view. He finished drawing out the rune and pointed his hand towards Monty and the people behind him with a "Fingergun" gesture now. A small was heard as a thin beam of energy sprung out from the rune straight towards him. Due to concentrating the beam down to a thin state, it could easily go through a body, wall, car, and most things physical to a degree.

The man clad in gold and a fur coat blocked Monty's bullets and shot a beam at him. Monty jumped to the side and rolled, making the beam miss him. He then picked up a handful of pebbles, and threw them up above misha. He used his esper abilities to make the pebbles more dense and heavy, making each pebble weigh 200 pounds. 

October noticed a white haired girl, she activated her powers again and floated up to the ceiling above the girl. She reached into the ceiling and made a large chunk of the ceiling turn intangible, she pushed the large chunk away from the ceiling and down towards the white haired girl, turning it tangible again as it split from the rest of the ceiling.

Jon noticed a female ice spirit and decided to be the one who battled it. He pulled out his sword and slashed outwards with his harvest slash sending a magical slash out towards the ice spirit.

Zeke fired a few shots at the floating girl but all of the bullets went through her as if she were just an image. Then the floating girl dropped a huge bolder towards Hikari, and Zeke knew he wasn't close enough to make it in time to knock the bolder off of it's course.

Misha looked confused for a second. "P-pebbles?" He questioned himself suspiciously as he moved his barrier up towards the falling rocks as he slowly moved out of the way. A few still collided withe barrier, finally giving Misha the full force of what the small rocks had become. The force immediately broke the barrier, but he quickly rolled out of the way before they could hit him.

 

Without his shield he figured keeping his range against someone proficient with a rifle wasn't too smart. Even if getting close to him without fulling comprehending his power isn't the best, becoming swiss cheese is even worse. He closed in on him, firing off a few quick blasts towards him from his palms before he decided what to do.

Jon noticed a female ice spirit and decided to be the one who battled it. He pulled out his sword and slashed outwards with his harvest slash sending a magical slash out towards the ice spirit.

 

 

Akira frowned and side-stepped it. She raised an eyebrow, and advanced on him. Target acquired. She set her hand on the sword and dashed, drawing it and striking with a fluid motion. Part of her hoped he wouldn't try to block it. Katanas have been known to cut through steel armor and weapons.

As Hikari was running towards the hunters, a large piece of the cave came down right above her. She quickly propelled herself backwards and dodged it as the rock landed in front of her. "You'll have to try harder than that, you damn esper." Hikari said as she wondered where the esper was. 'How am I going to fight someone who can submerge herself into solid objects?' She thought to herself.

Monty noticed the man clad in gold closed in on him for close range, big mistake, Monty thought. He dodged the blasts with ease, by stepping quickly to the side. He then pulled out a pair of brass knuckles and put them on his right hand. Using his power to make the knuckles more dense, he made the knuckles weigh 100 pounds. His years of military training made him very strong, standing at 6'1" with the physic of a body builder, holding on to the brass knuckles and swinging them now would be a piece of cake. Monty did a quick jab with his left hand at the man's face, while jabbing with the right brass hand at his abdomen. Monty knew how to handle himself in a fight. Being trained in the military he learned krav maga and melee weapons training.   

Jon noticed the ice spirit was running towards him with her hand on the hilt of her sword. Jon raised his sword and shouted, "Through your divine will issue punishment, EXCALIBUR"  Instantly his sword transformed into a golden blade of energy. He then shoved the blade into the ground a large rift of energy shot out from the sword towards the ice spirit. The energy was a magic that was normally used to dispatch demons, but it works on everything living as well, save angels. The energy rift is high intensity heat that incinerates anything it touches.

October noticed that the female used wind powers to propel herself backwards so that she wouldn't get hit by the falling debris. 

October made her mouth tangible for a second

"SO IT WAS YOU WHO HURT MY SISTER. YOU BITCH" October screamed

She increased her movement speed through the plane of existence she was in to propel her at the wind esper. She made her fist solid and winded back a punch aimed straight at the esper's face

Zeke saw the esper flying towards Hikari but all he could do was watch. He knew that any bullets he sent at the esper would just go through her and possibly hit Hikari. So all he could do was curse himself and see it unfold.

Akira disintegrated to recall, to be summoned once again. Next to the swordsman. Who got a swift icy punch of justice from a samurai lady. A samurai lady who would later be upset she was summoned as a woman yet again. She dash-slashed at him, sword still forming off in a deathly beautiful point.

Misha reacted quickly as the man threw a few jabs at him. He decided that after the pebbles sudden significant weight, he shouldn't expect much different from the knuckles. He stopped the mans jab with his own hand, it took a considerable amount of strength to do so too, seeing the knuckles now significant weight also weighed in against him. In the meantime however, the jab to his face connected. Even though it almost knocked his glasses and hat right off, Misha himself didn't seem all too effected. He gave a quick grin. "Now, I've seen quite a few people play dirty in fights with knuckledusters, but this is on a whole other level." He chuckled.

 

Misha sent his free hand towards the mans face, it looked like he was just going to backhand him in the face. However before his hand connected he flipped it over, revealing that his tattoo had lit up on the way towards him for a surprise attack. If it were to connect it would let out a small explosion on the victim, enough to knock most average people right out.

Hikari closed her eyes after she heard what the esper had to say about her sister. She stood still as she could feel her fist heading straight at her face. As an esper who can control wind, she can feel anything that moves within a certain radius around her, as long as there is air. She knew it wasn't going to be fatal since the speed of her fist was traveling at was barely half of what Hikari was capable of. "I hurt whoever I want.." She said before she opened her eyes and grabbed hold onto her fist, stopping her from hitting her.

"FAIRY BLINK"  Jon yelled

Once again he used the spell to teleport his body a short distance. This time he used it to jump to a position about 5 feet behind the ice spirit.

"I see," Jon said, "You are just a spirit. You are not using your own energy to continue your existence, you are using someone else's. Which means me killing you would be pointless, because as long as the person who summoned you has the energy to to do so, you will continue to be summoned into existence. Which means, I need to kill your master. But oddly enough, I do not see them here. So I guess I am just going to have to kill you enough times until your master runs out of energy to summon you again."

Jon raised his sword shouting "ARTHUR PENDRAGON'S RAGE!" Instantly his blade caught fire as if a huge inferno consumed it. He then slashed outwards towards the ice spirit sending a slash wave of flames out.

Monty saw the slap coming but it was too quick for him to duck it. The explosion knocked him 5 feet backwards as he tumbled to his knees. A normal person would be knocked out at this point or perhaps even dead, but Monty's years of military training made him resilient. He was back on his feet within three seconds. He had a singed cheek and a bruised ego, but he was okay. He spit out some blood and unholstered his pistol, shooting a few rounds at the man who slapped him. 

October allowed her fist and her entire body to pass through the had that grabbed her fist. She then flew up above the white haired girl and dropped a live grenade on the ground in front of her.

Zeke saw the grenade drop and he ran for cover.

"Hoo hoo! Put a bit more power into that one then I thought!" Misha scoffed out with a laugh. He chuckled with a grin as he did a playful shuffle. Something that was short lived once he saw Monty pull out his gun. He felt a bullet pass right by his head before he rolled out of the way from the rest creating a barrier of magic for cover. "Ya keep shootin' at me and I'll be forced to upside ya with this here jew gun." He commented from behind his barrier as he placed his hand on his deagle holster, wondering what to do next.

 

"Though I have to give it to ya. You're quite a bit more capable then sword boy over there. He barely escaped with his life before he warned you all. However once I'm done with you over here... well I don't think he'll be seein' tomorrow if I have my way." He said after a few moments as he prepared a pair of spells while out of sight. He rolled out from the opposite side, sending off a ball of light towards Monty's feet. Once it connects with anything it would explode, letting out blinding light meant to disorientate the victim. Afterwards he fired off a wide crescent shaped blade of energy from his right hand at Monty's waist. He didn't give it enough power to cut right through or kill the man yet, seeing he wanted to have this last a bit longer.

Hikari heard the drop of the grenade right in front of her, and even though she dashed backwards as fast as she could, she was still caught in the explosion. She triggered her protective shield that swirled around her to avoid getting badly hurt from the grenade. Even though she was still on her two feet, she realized that a small piece of shrapnel must have cut her arm since blood was dripping down from it. "That hurt.." She mumbled under her breath.

Lily, after standing in the back and trying not to get out of the way, finally figures out a way to help. While she had never been in a full-scale firefight before, something she knew well was the need to get rid of something that was about to explode in front of you. As such, she is catalyzed to action and sends what nanites she has left to disassemble anything they can. They seek out the densest source of metal, those being Monty's brass knuckles and don't siphon off much, just enough to put her plan into motion. Combining the brass from the knuckles and some zinc and creating an improvised battery. It wasn't anything much, but it had enough amperage to knock someone out for a while. Using what metal she had left to cloak herself in an invisible field of electric mesh, she calls tauntingly to October, "Hey, why don't you quit it with the grenades and attack the one who knocked your buddy out?"

Three different illusions: Akira goes invisible (And dodges), in her place an illusion melts out of existance. And on the opposite side of the entrance to the cave, Sayaa made an elder woman look passed out, as if she was drained. She noted that she didn't have a ton of excess herself, and directed Akira to wait near the illusion.

Monty knew, even though he couldn't see it, that something was coming towards him. Monty quickly reached into his jacket and procured what looked to be a small riot shield for an action figure. He then used his power to restore it to it's original size and density, and soon he was holding a metal riot shield and he braced it in front of him as he felt the impact of a magic spell. He shook the blinding effects away from his head. He then grabbed the edges of the riot shield and spun around, winding up to bludgeon the man in gold across the head with the right shield.

October could clearly see that the girl was trying to bait her away from the esper who controlled wind. Even if it was true that she was the one who knocked Nay unconscious, the wind esper is the one who was suffocation them, almost killing her sister. But be that as it may, she felt she still needed to try to make a point. October made her mouth tangible for a moment to say

"How about I give you a couple of grenades instead?" She said as she turned her mouth intangible again and dropped a grenade down at the other girl.

Jon saw that an elderly woman appeared after the ice spirit melted. 

"Too easy" Jon scoffed. and he turned his attention toward Monty who was fighting the man in gold

He's next Jon thought as he started to walk towards Monty.

Zeke's thought process started to go into overdrive as if his birthmark was trying to tell him something. Even though the girl is intangible we can still see her. So that must mean that light still effects her. Otherwise it would pass right through her and we wouldn't be able to see her Zeke thought.

Zeke noticed Hikari had gotten injured by some shrapnel he rushed over to her. 

"I hope you are okay... Because I have a plan, and I need you and Lily to buy me some time" Zeke said to Hikari.

He turned his LED flashlight from his phone on, and placed the phone upside down on the ground. The light illuminated Zeke's body. His birthmark then began to absorb the light in wispy tendrils. This should only take a minute or so to absorb enough juice, but if I am right, we can end this fight.

Lily smiles, "Thanks, I'd love some!" Her swarm eagerly devours the grenade, taking the metal casing and fuse for later use, and appropriating the explosives for the plan she makes up on the fly. The explosives are placed on the body of the unconscious woman and wired to her improvised electric charge, ready to detonate at a second's notice. She looks toward the intangible grenade girl, "Thanks for the bomb, now please stop doing that before I blow your sister to hell." She manages to say with a bit of confidence, her mind ready to activate the bomb if the girl doesn't do what she says.

Misha saw the man go for attack with his shield. He had enough time to duck below it as it swung for his head. He saw Jon start coming towards him and decided the best action was to retreat. He jumped up and kicked off Monty, aiming one of his boots towards the mans head as he did so. He distanced himself a good eight or ten feet from the two as he wondered what to do now that he might be fighting two. "At least I got two hands..." He thought. "You don't talk too much do ya? It's not quite as fun if they don't talk, wouldn't you agree?" He asked. "After all you do seem like you've killed one or two people before. If sword boy would so easily try to take my life I'd expect you to do them same, and more. Ex-Military I presume?" He added as he rambled on.

Sayaa released most of her spells and and observed the battle field. Sending Akira invisibly, she made it look like she summoned the ice soldier behind the riot shield guy. Akira immediately began trying to pummel him with her... staff? She hissed- Not only was she a monk now, she was a female monk. Sayaa also let off a bright light and loud noise: the equivalent of a flashback that her friends weren't affected by.

Hikari looked over at Zeke and replied "I'm fine, don't worry about me." She took off her hoodie, tore it into bits with her powers and tied a piece of cloth around her wound. "I'll buy you all the time you need." She said as she stood near Zeke, protecting him and preventing anyone from laying their hands on him. "Whatever you're doing, I hope it works.." Hikari said quietly.

Misha sighed as he watched the flash go off. "On second thought... you're boring." He said as he rushed him, jumping up and used his shield like a springboard to propel himself towards Jon. He tried to push Monty the other way to buy himself some time. In mid air he sent a blast towards the man's sword to try to disarm him before he landed. When he did, a feint clicking sound was heard as the force of landing had ejected a knife from the tip of his right boot. He spun around and sent a kick with the knife aimed straight towards Jon's neck. "Won't be able to run your mouth as much now will ya funny man?" He thought as he attacked.

October saw what happened to Nay and reacted quickly. Instead of conceding to the girl who planted the bomb on Nay, October ramped up her ability. She changed her movement speed within the plane of existence she was in so that in the real world she was going mach 10. Her body was still in the different plane of existence so she wasn't effected by the oxygen of earth which meant that even though she was going mach 10 she was not breaking the sound barrier to make a sonic boom. In an instant she was at Nay and she picked Nay up making everything but her body intangible. Not only did the bomb remain tangible and stay on the ground where she was, but also her clothes remained tangible too. October wasn't taking any chances, October's equation for making Nay intangible only involved Nay herself, everything else that was foreign was left behind.. October hovered there with her naked sister in her arms planning on what to do next.

Nay felt her body being toyed with, at first she felt something being placed on her, but then she felt someone pick her up. Nay opened her eyes and saw her sister's face as they hovered there in the ethereal plain. Nay's head pounded as she remembered she had taken the brunt of an explosion. Where is Jon? Nay wondered with delight as she looked down to survey the battlefield. She saw a lot of things that didn't make sense, like a girl controlling wind, and an ice spirit, and a man with light flowing into him. She then cast her gaze at the direction of Jon just in time to see her worst nightmare come to fruition.

Jon didn't quite understand what happened. One moment he was rushing to his brother's side, and the next he was wet, completely drenched actually. He tried to laugh but his voice wasn't working. Why wasn't it working? Jon thought. The man in gold must have sprayed me with warm water. I am completely soaked. but that doesn't make sense as to why I can't talk. Jon started to feel faint as he collapsed to his knees and dropped his sword. He wiped his hands on his chest that was completely soaked and looked at his now wet hands. His eyes met his hands with a gaze of confusion. What he was staring at didn't make sense. The scarlet, sticky substance that met his gaze could only be one thing, blood. But who's? Jon then touched his neck, and felt the river of blood that cascaded down his lacerated throat. No, this doesn't make sense. I can't be in this position. Nay and I were supposed to get married. We were supposed to find God's Hand and make it to where everybody was happy and free to love whoever they wanted. Nay. Jon cast his dying gaze over to Nay who was being held by October. He saw her tears streaming down her face. He could tell she was screaming but he couldn't hear it. he couldn't hear anything. Everything was fading away, his strength, his vision, his hearing, his coherent thought. All he could think was, At least Nay is safe, before breathing his last breath and falling face-down dead.

Nay struggled from October's grip and she fell to the ground. Nay clutched her chest her gaze cast downward. Her long blonde hair obscuring her, no doubt, jilted expression. She felt as if someone and reached into her chest and ripped out her most important organ. And then after they took her organ, the decided to throw her off a never ending cliff. She felt as though she was falling forever, into a pit of darkness.
"JON! MY LOVE! NO!" She yelled through her uncontrollable sobbing

Nay's screams of pain and anguish filled the cave. The screams and sobs were of such intensity that without any context, it would have appeared as though it was Nay who took the boot blade to the neck. It was so bad that it was almost making Zeke lose his concentration as he began to feel pity for the girl who just lost the one she loved. A tear began to well in Zeke's eyes but he clenched his teeth and the feeling of pity subsided. As unbelievable sad as this may be... I have a goal, and I will reach it, by any means necessary. I WILL BRING BACK MY FAMILY! Zeke thought as he absorbed the last of the light. The light from the flash that Sayaa made sped his absorption rate up significantly and he was ready. Zeke used his left had to cover up his birthmark on his right side as he concentrated. This pose also made it easier to steady his aim of his right arm. His lift arm across to his right sholder and his right arm extended out. His palm with his fingers curled inwards aimed directly at October's center mass. "LIMIT BURST!" Zeke yelled. A beam of pure white light, with the circumference of 3 feet around blast forth from the palm of his hand. Zeke must have been a little bit hesitant, because his aim was off just a bit. Only about 2 inches of the beam hit October's side, taking a 2 inch chunk of flesh off the esper, instantly cauterizing the wound. As soon as the beam hit, October dropped from the air and hit the ground.

It was hard for October to keep track of all that had happened. One moment her sister was in danger, the next moment Jon was dead, and Nay was crying, and the next after that she felt a sharp pain as if a burning arrow had been shot through her side. She dropped from the sky and hit the ground. If it was not for the fact that Jon had just died, she probably would have passed out as well. But she knew, with these hunters, there was no time for unconsciousness. If she let her guard down for an instant they would all be dead. How did she get hit anyway? October looked over at the man who had a glowing birthmark. His hand was extended outwards aimed at the airspace that October had just been occupying. His hand was smoking with heat and burned ozone. So... he figured out that light from this plane can still reach my ethereal plane. Just what exactly is he?  October thought as she dragged herself to her knees.

Monty suppressed his rage as he watched his older brother die in front of him. On his special operation missions he had watched many of his friends die. This wasn't anything new, and Monty knew the dangers of hunting going into this. 

"October, I know you are hurt... but can you still use your ability?" Monty asked

October thought about it. She was hurt and it was a bit hard to concentrate enough for her to obtain personal reality at the moment, but she felt that if she summed up the collective energy in her body she could do it.

"Yes," October replied

"Then take Nay, and get out of here. I will stay here and hold them back" Monty said

October realized what he had said. She wanted to object, but she knew Monty was going through his plan with or without them in the cave

"Fine." October said as she walked over to Nay and embraced her, reactivating her powers. Nay tried to struggle as she reached out towards Jon. But October just continued to hold on to Nay tightly as she floated up through the limestone and out to the open plains. And she continued to float until they were long gone and she was out of energy.

"I am not going to stand here and give a speech about how you guys are evil. Or try to give a eulogy on my brother's behalf. You lot are clearly the victors here.
