Can someone please teach me how to do forum RP and such?, I only have done 1 on 1 skype rp and such. But I am not too great at doing like, detailed posts and I would like to learn how if anyone wants to give it a shot. I may be a bit hard to teach so it's ok if you give up early or something on me.

They way I was told to RP on a forum is to RP just as if you were writing a book, write in extreme detail about the surroundings your characters are in how they are feeling, what emotions are going through them, and use a lot of descriptive words as well, that is pretty much all their is to it!

Oh, and don't godmod, that is bad and you will get a very hard time if you do Hint: godmodding is when you take control of another character or the surroundings of a character without the OP's permission, usually the OP is the only person that can godmod, and even then it's always a good idea to take it a bit easy on the godmodding.

They way I learnt to rp was reading the how to rp post.

You can lead a horse to water but you can't make it save equistria with its five candy coloured friends and shoot rainbows at bad guys using their necklaces and tiara unless you're celestia
Also if your not familiar with the count to one million post then check out our welcoming cheer!

I don't think I can do that :/..I can't find enough words in my head to be that detailed and still have something leftover that does not sound identical next post.

Read a few of the random RPs on here. That may help. Not all RPs are super descriptive, thou there's a 200 character limit. Interactions, thoughts, character movement (ie. Moving you head, shifting your hair, nervous hoof movement etc.) and diolouge will usually surpas that.

The Fat Controller looked over to Emerald Bliss who was struggling to figure out how to role-play to forum standard. He walked over to the green Pegasus who had now noticed him and knelt down to eye level of the pony. "Just do exactly what I'm doing here" said The Fat Controller. "You don't have to be super descriptive, you will soon find that 200 characters isn't really that much" He ruffled up Emeralds mane before standing up and walking off.

@@Emerald Bliss,

Forum roleplays use the 3rd person form and the minimum lines is 3, depending on if you hit 200 characters.

The RP starts with characters doing their normal thing, until they bump into each other and interact. Like let's say I was RPIng with Fat Controller and I bumped into his character:

@,

"Thunder Dash saw The Fat Controller and Emerald Bliss chatting. "Ah, nothing like a fine chat with some ponies." He said as he flew down and greeted the ponies" and so forth until I convey my idea.

There are many genres of roleplays. Some are very open, in which anything can happen. These roleplays fall under the "Slice of Life" section. Other RPs have fixed plots, which range from adventure RPs, to survival and quest RPs. For starters, a Slice-of-Life RP is the easiest. It will enable you to get familiar with the style of forum RPs, and you don't have to worry about being left behind, nor being confused about the plot. Sometimes, you can even roleplay with only one other person (1x1 RPs), which make things interesting, for unexpected plot twists might occur. Most often, RPs are in groups, averaging between 5-10 people per RP.

I would probably be more of a 1 on 1 person, I would not be good at groups.

@@Emerald Bliss,

Hey, we can do it through personal messaging to start with. No character limit there.
