What do we think of Alicorns

Stick with one of the core races, and stay away from alicorns, Alicorns tend to be something of great power and importance, which OC's should not be

Now I, for one have 5 Alicorn OC's, however, i think its better to stick to a core race, (Earth, Unicorn, or Pegasi).

It's your character. You can make it whatever you want.

 

...However, I have to say that unless you can make an alicorn OC that isn't:

 

-overpowered

-mary-sueish

-godtier

-idiotic colors like red and black

-someone with a tragic past

 

I'd stick with a core class. Just think about it: Does your OC /really/ need to be an alicorn?

I don't like them that much. There the most over-powered ponies in the show, and when I think of alicorn I think Mary sue. The OC alicorns kinda tick me off, cause they usually have at least one of these traits:

 

1 Over powered Mary sue or Gary stu

2 Related to the mane-six or sister/brother/mother/father of Celestia, Luna, Candace, etc.
3 Ruler of a made up kingdom
4 Is the colt-friend of another princess
5 SO MUCH NEON
 

So alicorns annoy me, and I think it would be better for the show if Celestia and Luna were the only princesses; Candace's and Twilight's reasons for becoming princesses are sort of out there for me.
