Is Big Mac getting weaker?

In Hearts and Hooves day, you see Big Mac able to tow a (presumably) two-story house, but in MMMMystery on the friendship express, he struggles to even lift the MMMM. Also later in Pinkie Apple Pie, he visibly strains when lifting the stove. (though he can tow his family, their luggage and Pinkie just fine) what do you think?

He was under the effects of a love potion in Hearts and Hooves day.

Cakes of that magnitude have the tendency to be rather heavy.

A very interesting theory, but I will have to disagree. Although your statements are true, I still believe Big Mac is as strong as an Ox. As ironic as it may seem in the show, I believe that the events just happen for comedic purposes, Big Mac is fine, I believe. :)

Big Mac's strength is directly proportionate to the strength needed by the script writers. He is in fact the one who trained Pinkie in the way of breaking the fourth wall, but is more reserved with his powers.

Big Mac was under the influence of drugs when pulling that house. I strongly suspect that had something to do with it.

I'm sure he also cares more about his family than that stove, so pulling them was a bit easier for that reason, not to mention that the wagon had wheels to make it easier. He could use every muscle group to lug that thing, unlike when hoisting the stove. That would also make it easier.
