Ponies compared to their human counterparts

Confession time:

 

I think I'm starting to like human Rainbow Dash more than pony Rainbow Dash.

 

Human Rainbow Dash is someone who seems sincerely very passionate and excited about music and sports, and I can sort of relate to that. Or at least the music part. There is something of the hard to define "greatness" of rock that is hard to put into words. She seems to understands it. A similar person that "gets it" is Jack Black, and I always feel like a kindred spirit when he's doing his spiel, so I sort of feel the same way about human RD.

I could say that I like the human counterparts when it comes to how they act in their world, though I like the ponies still.

It's pretty early to say the least for me, since the first movie mostly set up the new world. Hope I can relate in someway differently when the second movie comes, and if it's real, the series

After I watched Equestria Girls for the first time, I had that feeling that I wanted to see more of the human characters.

 

I guess I liked to see how their personalities went about with stuff in the human world.

Twilight Sparkle = they NAILED her in human form, period. School girl win!

 

AppleJack = Sorry, but no. Not buying the skirt over jeans and while all the models are the same size, my head cannon will not ignore the fact that AJ should be taller, larger, and have wider hips and thighs. Shes a farm girl not some barbie on a diet.

 

Pinkie Pie = .....She has to be the only one of the 6 that i like MORE as a human character, weird.

 

Rarity = Oh my precious Ra-ra...sok, but too young :nods with echi-fang showing:

 

Fluttershy= Another score! Flutters looks great, through a sweater on her and have the sleeves be too long and boom.

 

Rainbow Dash= Again not buying the skirt over basket ball short or tare away pants, and clearly her Cutie mark should be shoulder mounted.

 

All in all I enjoy the EQgirls models, ALOT, but what still makes me bawk at them is the sizes. Pinkie should be the chubby girl, Rarity the princess waif, AJ the bulky farm girl, Fluttershy is fine just needs a new wardrobe, Rainbow dash is too tall and frankly only Twilight suits the school girl frame they gave all the girls.

They're pretty good for the most part. Although I don't think every single one of them would being wearing skirts if given the choice.

• Rarity - I was introduced to her through Equestria Girls While I do prefer her pony form over her human form, she manages to look good while being good, but yet, she's still that over the top diva that I love

• Applejack - AJ's human form is one of my least a favorites, behind the two Princesses/Principles, Flash Sentry, and Fluttershy. I don't like the way she looks - too human, especially compared to the other 5. Also, i found her to be infuriatingly boring. She's a character that they could've done so much better with -_-

Twilight - I liked her EQG form second most -her character design was good looking, her lines were original amd humorous, and she did an excellent job with the role she played

Fluttershy - I don't like her human form. It's...kind of weird looking. She looks sick...her lines were also very "meh." They could've done much better, and I hope for an improvement in Rainbow Rocks

Pinkie Pie - I liked this one She was funny but still felt like Pinkie I like it.

Rainbow Dash - She falls neutral for me. I like her design quite a bit, but I found her lines infuriating. She was much more arrogant than usual, and I don't like her like that. Overall, I'd give her a 7/10.

I'm not sure how to feel about Celestia and Luna going from tall thin supermodel-looking ponies to curvier and more womanly. It's not faithful to the ponies' designs, but it fits their roles in the EG world better, so I think I like it?

I would agree about rock needing a kind of "spirit" and Jack Black certainly champions that notion. However, I don't think pony Rainbow any less has that same spirit and for all we know, enjoys rock music in her off time.

 

It's just that Dash's goal in the realm of Equestria seems so much more "out there." Which it is! Equestria is a land of magic, myth, and dreams after all. Rock and common sports are just more relatable to some.

Personally, I'm not a hug fan of this spin-off series. I don't think Equestria Girls was a bad movie, far from it. I do however think it undermines the entire mythos that have been established in the show.

 

To me, you could have kept the connection to Equestria proper out of it. Just have the magic crown, Sunset Shimmer, all that. You never needed to establish the two worlds were connected.

 

As such, I typically prefer the pony versions in all things. Why? Because the ponies can do THIS!

Any magic or awesome feats the human versions pull off are powers they leeched from their counterparts when Twilight Prime was there. Hell they wouldn't even have the magic of friendship without the real Twilight!

I am a Celestia Man, thru and thru. She is the biggest flank in all of Equestria after all! So...aweesome...But Luna stole the show in EQgirls, her look was great she looked almost plumpish. Very femine and a little pout on her round cheeks. Celestia...am I the only pony who liked her Design? I really liked it, it reminded me of a gal I worked for when i was 15, super big crush on her, lol, she rocked the buisness suit look and had a great butt! ^.^
