just a nitpick, but why is a pony who's special talent is making donuts, a unicorn? it seems more like an earth pony profession. it would also fit Joe's physique better?

Well it can also be a pegasus with a cutie mark like that, I don't think their race should affect what will their cutie mark be.

It must be a challenge trying to hold donuts with his hooves, so it would be easier for a unicorn to do it since he can just levitate and move the donuts around.

 

Also, race doesn't relate to what your talent is.

Race doesn't decide really what a pony's talent is. I saw a pegasus I believe with a sunflower as her cutiemark, which could mean many things.

 

- She grows sunflowers

- Has a sunny personality she shares with others

 

Point being she's a pegasus, yet does probably earth pony related tasks.
