planning World War II (Equestria Edition)

Howdy. I felt like doing a dark and grim RP where ponies carry around guns and go pew pew xD

 

I thought that since that era is well known for it's stuff, that it would be the easiest setting (Unless I went for Sci-fi, but eh xD ) . Anypony feel up for being a part of a small squad in an RP? c:

 

I'm allowing tank commanders~ 

 

I personally will try and fill in any role that is "missing" but most likely I will just be private Soda Pop. 

 

Ideas to what you can be is stuff like the following.

Medic

Combat Engineer.

Tank Commander

Sergeant.

Sniper.

Random Soldier that is badass.

 

Of course you can always be more. Just try and remember that we are focusing on the Allied forces of Equestria. No Nazi ponies aside from the NPCs. 

 

If you could describe your equipment too, that would be nice. A link to your OC's sheet (if you have one) would be sweet too. Otherwise I would love a description on the post xD

I'll be using my main and only OC White Lightning for this. You can ignore the whole backstory, I pretty much adjust it to fit the RP.

Okie *clears throat* Here is a teeny bit of backstory to the RP. A small group of allied forces are ordered to make a sneak attack to take out a Lunar General. (whom may or may not be Nightmare Moon herself). Of course this army sadly got spotted, and it ended up being a slaughter. Being on the losing side of this battle. The ponies are working their way through hell on Equestria and try to take out their greatest enemy.

Don't you worry! My OC will be mostly fighting on the ground. You see, he was about to dive-bomb a Lunar anti-pegasi battery, unfortunately his left wing was knocked out before he could make the drop. I intend for one of the three guys above to find him lying unconscious in a field, his left wing bleeding from where it was shot.

Sneak mission with a tank? let's say my tank was disabled somewhere during the time shit hit the fan so I'm a tankless tank commander for now.

Ok, scratch my fighter-bomber idea. My OC will actually be a tank commander, serving with the Royal Canterlot Army's 12th Armoured Corps. The tank will be a Tiger II.

You don't have to scratch it because it is a stealth mission, you could've been shot down while providing a sort of distraction while our team landed in enemy territory.

 

And if you're sure you want to scratch and be a tank commander too, well, the more tanks the merrier

Wait...what about Synapse and Doctor Volt? The former is German and the latter is Italian. Maybe they're fighting in Northern Africa?

I honestly didn't think further than "WAR AND MURDER RAWRAWRAWR!" when I made this, so that's what I would think. I would say that since this doesn't take place in World War II and just has a similar setting, it can work out fine c:

Should flesh out more of the background for this RP. I really like the basic idea that little snippet of backstory you wrote gave, I think Equestria is much more suited for 20th century tech in stories like these.

 

If anything it'd be a good idea to decide what exactly the fighting is about. Much more fun to shoot things if you have a cause.
