Melissa wandered about the school, her ponytail bobbing a little bit as she walked. She helped students when she could but other than that, she was just walking around and trying to get herself familiarised with the place. Melissa tried to figure out what she would do for classes but knew that would happen later in the day. Standing still for a moment, she oriented herself and walked back in the direction she came, heading past all the dorms towards her own.

She opened one eye and looked at Storm from her bed "Manetric. Pretty cool pokies, they can play a bit rough." She thought about the pack she once stumbled on and rather than invading, Genesis had simply observed them from afar. She was always impressed by their ability to make those small little clouds above them; usually when they were angry or worked up. Vaguely, she wondered if her roommate did the same.

Storm stopped tapping his finger abruptly and stood up, not really acknowledging what Genesis said. "I'm going to the track, in case you wanted to know." Storm abruptly walked out of the dorm and expertly navigated to the back of the school. Once outside, he smiled before bolting off towards the track, running nearly 50 mph. Electricity began forming on his wrists, where he had fur that conducted his electricity fairly well. There was a Liepard on the track as well, going nearly the same speed as Storm. As he passed him, he recommended joining the track team before increasing his speed to 60 mph, pushing himself to his limits.

Adalynn looked down at her acceptance letter. "I don't see why I have to go," she thought to herself as she rode in the back of the Taxi with her Mother. "Hey, we're already here."

 

The Misdreavus Gijinka, looked up at her mother. She was smiling at her, while holding Adalynn's suitcase. "I don't see why you insisted on packing so little. Are these clothes enough for you? Nevermind- let's just get you unpacked and settled in as soon as possible, hm?"

 

Adalynn looked around once they where inside, it seemed everyone had already arrived. The thing is, they wouldn't have been so late if her mother wasn't always taking so long at the last minute. Oh well. She looked down at the letter in her hands, "Okay, it say's I'm in dorm eight." She murmured, just loud enough for her mother to hear.

 

They both arrived at the dorm. When Adalynn opened the door, she was surprised to see her roommate was already there. She blushed. "The girl I'm spending all year with, and she gets to see me with my Mom, babying me." She thought.

 

"I should go, Adalynn, you don't need help, do you? Did you check to pack your medicine? Oh, what about your lotion? I know how you get dry skin!" Her mom continued to babble.

 

"Quit it Mom, I can handle myself..."

 

Her mother sighed, "okay, just know, if you need anything, don't hesitate to call." She kissed her on the forehead. And then left the room. With that she was gone, and Adalynn was left alone with her new roommate.

Fey looked up from her bag to the door as she heard a couple of people walk in. She giggled slightly at the way she was being babyed. She waved at the girl slightly with her hand still inside the sleeve of the dress. She placed her bag next to her on the bed and scooted backwards a bit. Fey then brought her legs up to her chest and observed the girl, not one for initiating conversations.

Adalynn's face turned red, "He-hello.." She mumbled, not knowing how to introduce herself. After the way her mom was treating her, she was very embarrassed. "My Mother, is very strange. Sometimes I question how we're related. She isn't even a Gijinka." She told the girl on the bed.

 

From what she could see, Adalynn had no doubt the girl strongly resembled a ninetails, but it was just a guess. She attempted to smile to her, "My name is Adalynn." Adalynn wasn't really one to start a conversation, but she may as well try to be friends with this girl, seeing this is who she would live with. Besides she knew how much her mom would want her to. It isn't like she has to become the most popular student in the school or anything like that, in this case.

'Adalynn. That's a cute name.' Fey thought to herself. She looked at Adalynn and noticed that she resembled a Misdreavous. "I'm Fey Lin." Fey whispered her name as she hid behind her hair, which acted like a curtain. She hated talking to people but knew that it was the only way to get her message across. She started to hyperventilate with the thought of staying with this girl for the school year but immediately began to calm herself down, knowing that she was roommates with just one girl.

Kage reappeared, chuckling mischievously. "I can't help being a ghost!" he replied. "Though I'd be lying if I said I didn't enjoy it! I just wish I had the invisibility thing a little better off! I can't really disappear completely yet, and the thing I REALLY want to learn how to do is pass through walls! Now that would be fun!" Sitting back down on the bed, he turned back to Apisves. "So, what sort of things can you do then? That thing you did just now, where you curled up into a ball and glowed, was pretty cool! What's that do?"

"Are you okay, I'll stop talking, if you want!" She muttered. Her face managed to turn red.

 

She looked for something to hide behind, but all she could remember packing where about 12 dresses, and her favorite books. She pulled a thick novel labled "The Extended History Of Sinnoh", opened it to a random page, and stuck her head behind it.

"Hardened my skin, lots of bugs use it" Apisves answered, uncurling himself with some difficulty. "It's not that useful, it barely does anything" Apisves grumbled, wishing he could just evolve already. It was the dream of all cocoons, gjinka or pokemon to evolve, but in Apisves's case...well, let's jut say he was late. "I gotta admit though, your tricks are pretty useful" Apisves smiled weakly, already thinking of ways to try and use his partner to laze around more

Fey was thankful that Adalynn had decided to stop talking but was now at a loss of what to do. She saw her take out a book and immediately start reading it. Looking towards her own bag, Fey opened it up and brought out a rather well-thumbed copy of 'Pokemon Species'. It was slightly out of date and she knew almost all the pokemon mentioned in the book, off by heart but she didn't know what else to do. She started reading it and unconsciously began talking to herself while reading it.

 

Melissa walked into her own dorm and began to unpack her things. After having done so, she took a look around the dorm room. She saw that it was more like a small apartment rather than a dorm.  'Seems like I'll have to get used to living here rather quickly.' Melissa thought to herself with a faint smile.

He turned on the faucet and washed up his face, realizing that he was absolutely filthy, covered in dust and grime. "Hey, Ghostie, can you get me my bag?" Apisves asked, too lazy to move

Adalynn heard some noise, what sounded like shuffling. She peered up from her book and saw Fey reading a copy of her Pokemon Species book. "That's a little outdated, but I learned a lot of interesting facts from it." She said, quietly.

 

She put down her book, and looked through her suitcase. "Ah-" she said, pulling a book out"-Here we are," the book was a little torn, and the cover read "Poképedia: volume 7" She offered it to the girl, "This is more up-to-date, and covers all of the regions!"

Genesis shrugged and turned over, rubbing her cheek against her fur collar and yawning. She figured she had time to kill before classes or anything. Sleeping would help her past the time until then. So, after giving a final stretch, Genesis drifted off.

Fey blinked for a bit before looking up from the book. "D-d-does it?" Fey stuttered. She looked between the book that Adalynn was holding out to her and the book in her own hands. She placed it back in her bag and took the offered book. "Th-thank you." Fey thanked her with a smile. "Oh! M-my n-n-name is F-f-fey Lin." Fey stuttered as she said her name.

"Sure!" Kage replied, picking up his roommate's bag and bringing it over to him. "Where are you from by the way, and which region? I'm from Lavender Town in Kanto. If you don't like scary, it's not the place for you! Especially not at night! For me though, that's the best part of the day!"

"How are you even talking so fast?" Apisves sputtered, completely shocked that anyone could talk that fast. "A-anyway, I don't know where I'm from. In Johto, since there's so many bug gjinkas and Pokemon, every now and then, there is a Bug Catching Contest where people try and find the bugs. My parents found me there and adopted me. I live in Goldenrod now" he answered, blushing a bit in remembrance. He had been a Weedle at that point and far more energetic

"Heheh Sorry!" Kage smiled apologetically. "I can be a little excitable at times! Johto eh? I've heard there's some pretty good sights there! And Goldenrod City's quite a home! Far bigger than Lavender Town! Do you know many other gijinka then Api? I'm the only one in Lavender Town's area, so I'd kinda new for me being completely surrounded by them!"

Far bigger than Lavender Town! Do you know many other gijinka then Api? I'm the only one in Lavender Town's area, so I'd kinda new for me being completely surrounded by them!"

"Don't call me Api" Apisves said, giving Kage a huge glare. "And as for other gjinkas, just one. This one really nice lady who's a Miltank gjinka. She lets me get servings for free, which is really nice of her" Apisves recalled, smiling fondly and wishing he had brought some of her stuff with hm

Being a dark type, he got on well with me, and I showed him round the Pokemon Tower for a while. He didn't stay too long though, as he was travelling the region, and moved from place to place rather quickly. He was a cool guy though!"

"I thought you'd hate a Dark Type" Apisves shuddered, his head falling beneath his sweater like a turtle retreating. "I mean, they can do tons of damage to you. It's like fire types and grass types" Apisves mumbled. He was aware that he did tons of damage to Dark Types....but they were still scary!

"You're welcome." Adalynn yawned. "I'm getting a little sleepy," She looked at the time on her iPhone, "I'm sorry, but I want to take a nap, can we turn out the lights? I have a reading light, if you want to barrow it?" She checked a pocket on her suitcase.

 

"Ah, here we go." She said to herself. Adalynn handed Fey a tiny reading light, and flopped into her bed. She curled up her legs and arms, and snuggled herself up She yawned again.

Rune heard the lock click. Synthia had finally arrived! He had been able to get the ingredients for her favorite pink poffins and put them in the oven. He wasn't exactly the most creative gift-giver, but he felt it meant a bit more that he made them mostly from scratch, while having to still prep their home for the next few months and the classroom. As the door opened, he got up and went over to the door. "Synthia my dear! Welcome to our home for the next few months!" He said, hugging his wife tightly. "How are you doing?" Rune asked, relaxing his grip a bit.

She pulls away with a smile to close the door, "I'm good. Such a nice academic environment..." She maneuvers herself so he wouldn't be able to miss the gift's flash in the room by twirling in the center of it. "It smells nice in here. Are you cooking?" She wraps her arms around his waist with a smile.

"That I am. Something for you speci-" He was interrupted by a flash of light coming from under the couch they had off to the side of the room. "What is that under the couch there?" He said, investigating it more closely. As he lifted cushion, he saw a brand new saber, or more specifically, a Szabla, complete with a custom hilt, crossguard, and detachable blade! "My word..." He said, raising a hand to his mouth, tears starting to form in his eyes. "It's beautiful..." He picked up the saber, giving a few test thrusts to get a feeling for it. Finely balanced, quite sharp, as he could tell by running his index finger over it. It actually drew a bit of blood! He smirked. 'What better way to baptize a sword than with the blood of it's new owner?' He thought to himself. He placed the sword in his currently empty second hilt. "This is amazing! Thank you so much!" He said as he hugged his wife and kissed her heavily. "My gift doesn't come close to this, I'm so sorry!" Rune said, teary-eyed. "I've been baking your favorite poffins from scratch, but that doesn't come anywhere near to this! Is there any way I can make it up to you?" He asked, hugging her tightly. "I've just been so busy prepping our new home for the coming months as well as my classroom, I haven't had the time to make something of this caliber for you!"
