Any Regular Bronies Out There?

It seems like in this fandom you're either into Bronyism (worshiping MLP as a religion), clopping, or you're a furry.

Well I'm not trying to be insulting or anything because the last thing I would ever want to do is insult another pony.

Now I'm not the average Brony, but I'm just wondering.

Are there any other Bronies out there that just watch the show and are involved in it like any other regular Brony would be?

What I'm basically saying is that are there any Bronies out there that just have the label "Brony" upon them.

Nothing else.

If you define normal as just being a Brony, then I am that. I honestly don't get when people try to get so much into the show when they say "The show's in the wrong" for doing something.. It's their show it's their story. HOW are they wrong.. Plus to clopping?... um I can almost say that's guy's who have no one I could say they're desperate... Can't hate them for their own opinions. However I only believe in one god. HE ISN'T a pony..

I watch the show on a daily basis, and I only got involved in this fandom a couple of months ago. Back then I knew what bronies were, but just thought they had watched the show period. I had know idea about these sites all dedicated to the show. Once I stumbled across them (That's a story for another time.) I found EQD, which led me to Derpibooru and DeviantArt. Anyone who goes to Derpibooru knows that you can change the filter settings to "Everything" which shows every picture un-filtered. I had no idea people made pictures of ponies "doing things" but all the sexiness got a hold of me.... you can guess what happened next. I wouldnt call myself a "clopper", because i've only done it to ponies twice, and I dont plan on doing it again. (maybe :3) I my opinion I would call myself a Regular Brony.

Yes, I don't do anything special. I just watch the show and change everything on my PC to MLP styled.

 

I pretty much do the same thing, including writing fan fics and requesting commissions,

You could say im one of those individuals who would "not" collect toys, and display them, but only go for posters and shirts (damn it, i want my wonderbolts hoodie so badly, but so hard to find )

Clop has just never done anything for me. There are a couple of suggestive pony pictures that I've found mildly erotic, but beyond that cartoon ponies with peens and vagoos drawn on them just look to silly to me.

 

I'm also not a furry.

 

I do really geek out on this show though. What would be an acceptable level of geeking out and still be "normal"?

As far as I can tell, watching MLP is the most abnormal thing I do! 

I'm not that obsessed, but I do like to listen to some good old Brony music from time to time.

I'm not really into the darker side of the fandom, I just treat it like it doesn't exist to be honest. 

 

I have a figure or two, but everyone's cool with it. It's not like I go shoving MLP down people's throats or anything!

2) Clopping - NO! I keep my religious standards. Plus I'm a heterosexual female; there wouldn't be much for me anyway.

Last year my parents sent me a Princess Celestia birthday card for my birthday, and it made me so happy! I still have it on display in my room.

I don't use the label of "brony," but I do consider myself to be... how you put it? Well, rather than using the term normal, I'd prefer to say "casual." I am a casual fan of MLP, which is what I think what you're getting at. Just watch the show out of boredom and for entertainment, but don't really see it any deeper than that. Sure, I make loads of fan art for it, but that's due to loving the art style and because others want me to and well, I can't turn down a profit, can I?

 

Even if I'm a furry myself, I'm not really hardcore about that either or MLP. Sure, on more than one occasion, I do enjoy some unsavory activity, but I also am much more conservative about it rather than shoving it into peoples' faces and making art of it. For me, that would be going too far.

 

So I consider myself to be casual in spite of these things.

I would consider this to be incorrect. Many people who label themselves as furries simply enjoy anthropomorphic animals, rather than just dressing up in costumes and having sex with each other. This seems to be more so based on the mainstream view of furries, which just views them as a bunch of sex-crazed animal maniacs. But just as there are many types of MLP fans out there, there's many different types of furries. After all, many outside of the MLP community just think that all bronies are composed of cloppers. But that isn't true, is it?

To answer the OP, I would say i'm normal, except you have a thing against furries.  I just watch the show, I don't worship it or think about ponies 24/7.  I like the fan videos and art, the fanbase is very creative.

When it comes to the total brony population, only about 5% are the mega-fan, obsessive, mega-clopping, fans.

 

In my experience, most of the bronies that I know are completely normal.
