My Flower Sandwich

In this topic I gonna tell ya, how to make a granny-slappin’ good flower sandwich.

Ingredients:

- Bread;

- Apple jam;

- Flowers (no, srsly :)).

Directions

1. For first we need some flowers. It’s plenty of edible flowers you may use as filling, I just took most available to me. I wouldn’t recommend ya to take flowers from a flower shop (unless they are selling flowers for cookery), it’d be better to raise them by yourself. I have a lot of dandelions and my neighbor has the carnations in his garden, so I took some of them. We need only 5 dandelions for 1 sandwich.

2. Then we need to clean them up. The dandelions are fully edible, but only their petals have a nice taste in their raw form, the rest of them has bitter taste and not suitable for our sandwich. Accurate tear away all their green parts and leave only yellow petals.

3. For third we need some apple jam. Please, keep in mind, that we need only two teaspoon of jam (one for each pieces of bread) for we’re using this jam only as a kinda glue, since we’re making flower sandwich and not an apple one. :)

4. After smearing of the bread with apple jam, strew it with the petals of dandelions.

5. Then we’re takin’ a carnation. This one is enough for two sandwiches. As always, we take only leaves.

6. And the finishing stroke- smear the other slice of bread with apple jam and stick them together.

7. Enjoy your meal! It’s delicious, especially with coffee or green/herbal tea. :)

Dandelions taste like sugar if you only eat the yellow part.  One bite of green and you might as well be eating a spinach covered watermelon rind

Now time to add beer, bacon, and tons of pepperoni! And gotta deep fry it.

And yea, during our basic survival course we had to eat followers. It was ok, but not somthing I'd do normally. But good job on the sandwich.

I'm not usually one for correcting spelling mistakes but this one is hilarious!  :lol:

But what would it taste like deep fried? Mmm... Crispy flowers...

What were you in that you needed a survival course?  That sounds like fun to me  ^_^
