Hey there :D

What is it, you ask?

 

Well, that people don't know anything about me other than that I'm a largely obsessive Rarity fan ;)

 

So, I'm making this blog in an attempt to remedy that, and hopefully it won't go in vain :D

 

So, where should we start? :D

  • I'm 17 years old.
  • I generally don't disclose my actual name directly, but I will say I share a first name with the most notable character off of The Boondocks.
  • I'm a Junior in High School.
  • I live in Leonard, Texas; a small town up by the Red River with a little less than 2,000 people in it.
  • I work part-time in an autoshop, usually sweeping floors and keeping the tools and what not in order; I get to do an occasional oil-change or tire-rotation, though :D
  • My Political Views are Left-Wing or Liberal, whichever you prefer to call it.
  • I'm an athiest.
  • I'm asexual (but I'm also a clopper, yes; long story short, I don't clop as much as you think and when I do, it's because of the spiritual connection I have with the pony in the picture, not because of the picture itself, which, overall, I find unappealing. No interest in dating or sexual advances whatsoever.)
  • I'm weird, I know ;)
  • I drink Pepsi like it's going out of style.
  • Waffles are my favorite thing to eat.
  • My favorite TV show is FiM, no question, but I also like to watch Friends, How I Met Your Mother, and whatever sport is in season.
  • I'm a bit of a sports nut; I like my hometown (state?) Texas Rangers in baseball, which, is no doubt my favorite sport; but I also like the Jacksonville Jaguars in (American) Football, the Edmonton Oilers in Hockey, the Brooklyn Nets in Basketball, and my favorite college teams are TCU (Texas Christian University)
  • My favorite movies are Wes Anderson films. I own every one of his movies that has been released to DVD; Bottle Rocket, his first film, is my favorite, but The Royal Tenenbaums makes a strong case in its own right.
  • My favorite band is U2; my favorite song of theirs is "Sunday Bloody Sunday" off of my favorite album of theirs, "War."
  • I'm an only child.
  • I live with my grandparents.
  • I suffer from a familial form of dilated cardiomyopathy; it pretty much means I inherited an enlarged heart genetically. It drastically affects my emotions, so I try my hardest to keep myself composed. (If I didn't, and said what was really on my mind, I'd be banned by this point, no doubt.)
  • Rarity has been therapeutic to me and my physical and emotional problems, which is one of the many reasons I love her so much. That's probably why my personal motto is "Obsessive fanboying is good for the soul :catface: "
  • I don't play videogames. Just never really enjoyed them.
  • Anything else you want to know about me, just ask :D

Well, I hope that you now know there is indeed a person behind the obsessive fanboy you see online, and with that...erm...later? I guess? :D

I'm stuck on the fact that you like the Oilers. People in Edmonton barely like them...

lol yeahh, we've been pretty bad as of late :( I've got high hopes, though :D

That was cool to read more about you in general, as well as why you like Rarity so much. I never had an issue with the fact that you clopped, it's just not something I do myself. But now I understand better why you do that. I always just assumed it was a sexual thing.

It's about the pony in the picture, not the picture itself :D

(At least, for me, anyway :P)

2. I loooooooove Friends and How I Met Your Mother

3. Waffles are like the food given to man by the gods as a reward

4. U2 is amazing. Sometimes You Can't Make It On Your Own is another one of their awesome songs :muffins: 

5. I like sports. I don't eat, sleep, and breathe them. But I like to watch them. Favorite sport is American football. Favorite team is Oklahoma Sooners. 

6. Pepsi? Odd. That's what you get when they don't have Coke :lol:

 

I never really liked Rarity until this season. She had great episodes in the past but this is her best season hands down. Also, I don't know if I ever mentioned it but you kinda had an influence on that as well. So yeah :D

 

We actually have a few more things in common than I thought :yay:

That's good to hear!

 

She's an amazing character who, for some reason, didn't seem to get a fair shot from the rest of the fandom :( I didn't let it bother me, though, and I just kept up with my relentless worship and admiration :P

 

I get knocked down, but I get up again, ain't nothin' gonna keep me down...

I actually lived in Oklahoma for a while; small town called Maud, just outside of Durant.

 

Things ain't too friendly for a Texan across the Red River :lol: I actually bought a Sooners wallet just so I'd fit in more :P Y'all are crazy about your Sooners, lemme tell ya :D

Hey man nice to know a bit about you, my favorite movie of all time is The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou so yeah Wes Anderson FTW ;)

My #3, behind Bottle Rocket and the Royal Tenenbaums :D

I'm a bit disappointed that Luke Wilson didn't appear alongside his brother in that movie, but regardless, Bill Murray was a classic in one of the best movies I've ever seen.

Oh, and dat hat :D Can't forget about that red beanie ;)

but yeah, found out some new stuff about you even though we've been good friends for a while now. Very informative, and it's nice letting others know that there's more to you than just being a huge Rarity fan :)

Stupid time zones. I can never comment on anything until the next day.

 

1. That's an... interesting assortment of teams. I'm from New England, so I root for all for Boston teams, because that's just what you do.

2. Pepsi > Coke

3. I thought everyone in Texas was a right-winger. It's cool that you've made up your own mind about things.

4. Whether you're "weird" or not is relative.

 

So yeah, you seem as awesome as I thought. I really respect that you're a brony in public, even though you probably get a lot of shit for it.
