Personally, I don't mind it. I like it, actually. I agree with you on alot of things, so my view is probably a bit skewed though.

Sarcasm's hard to detect on the Internet. That might cause people to think you're being aggressive. Personally, I've never thought of you as a jerk, but it's something to consider.

Some people just fail to understand sarcasm or a joke on the Internet, since they can't see your body language or hear your tone. I get this all the time as well (I'd probably win a "most annoying user" competition). It's just hard to tell sometimes. You're not a jerk for sure.

Well I don't know you. So to be more specific you come off as a jerk sometimes, even though we have no problem with each other. Not to condescend but you remind me of myself 5+ years ago, blunt and sarcastic to the core. I did it to compensate for not being able to express myself in person. I don't know why you do it, but if it's how you really feel and not just a persona you've adopted to look cool, then of course you shouldn't change it. Be true to yourself.
