    This is my point, really. By saying "convert", I was only using hyperbole to be humorous! Like I said before, I'm not going to chase people down and make them confess undying love for the show. I just meant that I want to introduce people to the show, show them how fun the fandom can be! You can't argue with that!

    I seriously had never heard that people thought of bronies as perverts until you guys pointed it out. I guess that just goes to show how people react to things when we don't have all of the evidence. I imagine there are some so-called "bronies" out there who are twisted, but those types of people are always the first to be reported on. Kind of like how you only hear about horrible plane crashes because they're so rare, I suppose.

    Sneaky... but I like it! I think that if people would only get over the whole "little girl" stigma, we would have a lot more bronies! The animation alone is fantastic and original!

    Haha, that was exactly me when I first started watching! I was close to shutting the episode off and running away for fear of getting my man-card revoked. It took a few episodes, but about 5 into it I realized just how awesome it was!

    Well there is a signature lack of maturity in someponies at my school. On the other hoof, others are very open! My main reason for trying to get my friends hooked on the show is so I can actually make Pony references and jokes without them being totally wasted. For example, someone in my class the other day said "I don't understand what went wrong". I almost died from trying to hold in the Derpy references!

    Actually, it's not help I need. I was just curious how your friends react to your bronyness! Being a guy, my friends are sort of split between "What's My Little Pony?" And "Are you gay?" It's just fun for me to see their reactions when I get them to try the show. It would be dumb of me to run after them shouting "YOU. WILL. LOVE. MY LITTLE PONY!" Like a deranged Fluttershy.

    Okay, so maybe "convert" was the wrong word. I don't mean FORCIBLY try to make them bronies; I just wondered how you tried to get them interested in the show. I know some people won't touch anything MLP related with a ten foot pole without encouragement, so I just like to point out all the great aspects of the show. Haha, maybe that's a bit clearer. I try not to beat up neighsayers when they don't like the show... Usually.

    This was among the best episodes in Season 1, in my opinion (although I may be biased because of the LOTR references). I thought the plot was very well done; the diamond dogs weren't too wimpy, and Rarity really showed a side of herself that one wouldn't expect. and the Smeagol references. I just have to mention those again. They were pretty awesome.

    The longer I am a brony, the more I wish I had brony friends. I have been trying to convert a few of my friends by convincing them to just watch through the first two episodes, but they are extremely reluctant and suspicious. One of them is slowly moving over to the brony side, and hopefully the two of us will spread the magic of friendship to everyone around us! (Insert evil laugh here). Anyway, I wanted to know how you guys try to get others to watch the show and if you have any funny stories about people's reactions.

    I couldn't have said it better myself! It's sad how "Christians" will praise God out of one side of their mouth and praise just awful things out of the other side. It really ruins our reputation and makes it hard to sound credible when people around us call us hypocrites. Brohoof to you, sir! Thanks! I was wondering how to say this. I don't really want to get into a debate on this thread; I just wanted to connect with Bronies! If everypony would be so kind as to keep the thread on topic, that would be fantastic!

    Difference? The difference has nothing to do with being a brony, I just wanted to see if there were Bronies on here who happened to be Christians. As for the "thing of Satan", I didn't know people actually thought that. I find it totally ridiculous, personally! Unfortunately, some "Christians" (or at least those who like to call themselves such), don't always take the time to examine things for themselves, instead preferring to listen to other sources rather than the Bible. I honestly can't see anything in the show that is inappropriate or anti-Biblical, so I can't say I agree with those who condemn the show. I hear neighsayers say sometimes that it somehow makes you gay if you watch it, but that's just a ridiculous argument. So yeah, I hope that helps a bit.And I capitalize Believers only because it's a synonym for Christian. It's not a big deal if you don't. Just trying to be specific! Also, I hope you don't think being a Christian is only about hell, fire and brimstone. It's waaaaay more than that! If you have more questions, feel free to ask!

    That's just sad. Usually I don't care about trolls, but they do tend to sour an otherwise good mood, don't they? It's strange how people will say a lot more behind a computer screen than they will in person. Oh, I'm not trying to alienate anyone! I just kinda wanted to know. I would never get on here and start trying to cause conflict! Rrgh, it's really tough to stay caught up on a stream when it's being added to so often! Haha, now my previous post makes no sense!

    Haha, definitely. I haven't conclusively told anyone about my bronyness as of yet, but I've hinted to some of my friends that they should check it out. Once I get some reinforcements behind me, I will be much more open. Now, where to get Pony T shirts...

    I'm not ashamed to be a Brony in the slightest, but I usually only divulge the information if somepony asks or I see that they're a Brony too. Too many people tend to think you're magically instantly gay if you like MLP.

    Haha, Baptists DO have the best potlucks! It's nice to see people claiming the name of Christ, with as many people online as there are who love to mock Believers. For me, being able to chat with those who truly know the miracle of Salvation is just awesome! (Chatting about Ponies just adds to the fun!)

    Thanks again! It kind of amazes me how civil people are on these forums; I'm used to trolls and weirdos overrunning most threads. It's really fun to be able to interact with other bronies, seeing as I don't know of any around me. But rest assured, I shall do my best to convert others to the herd! You guys have any interesting stories about people reacting to finding out you were a brony?

    If you read my profile you'll know that I'm a Christian, so I was just curious if there were other Believers out there who shared my affinity for MLP? It would be cool to chat with like-minded people about the show!
