  1. Hey I've made some newer projects and have improved since last time, but if you're still around I have another question or two. Namely, how do you solve clipping issues? I can never seem to get my stuff to be an appropriate volume or if it is, it clips too much. Also, if you use vocals in your stuff, any suggestions of good editing, cutting, tuning, or clipping software? Other than that, I've listened to your advice and I've loved making pieces out of feelings. Thanks again for the advice!
  2. Thanks! Yeah, repetition tends to be my problem with songs... Right now, I need to work on getting more sounds like a new VST (like Massive) and then I will have more variety to choose from. Thanks for the feedback!
  3. Hey, I came out with a new song. I was going to have vocal chops in it, but they proved too infuriating for the time limit I had, so I improvised. Head on over to my channel, Omniotronic, give a like, subscribe, and comment if you want. Thanks!
  4. Just as a disclaimer, the vocals used are not mine. They are clips taken from the "At The Gala" song sung by the mane 6. I can't resing. I was hoping for some post-production tuning.
  5. That didn't help. It talked about how you can use the synthesizer as an auto-tune like device. Not really tuning the vocals.
  6. Would that help with the tuning? If so, can you give me a quick run through of what to do?
  7. @C. Thunder Dash No, I'm trying to have the vocals not sound a little flat as some have told me. Personally, I don't think it needs a lot of tuning, but I can't get it to work (tried using GSnap, KeroVee, AutoTalent, Pitcher, and Newtone). It either sounds distorted or it sounds more out of tune. Also the plugin Slicex does not have an auto tuning ability (to my knowledge).
  8. In FL Studio there is a sampler type plugin that I load acapellas into and chop up vowels and other snippets. I can send it to the piano roll and I use the various keys (c#5, d4, etc) to "play" the chops.
  9. Okay, I have a problem. I can add vocals to songs but everyone keeps telling me to "auto tune" them. I have no idea how to do that and when I try, it sounds even shittier. Can anypony help me out?! Bump. Anypony care to help? Vocals/Vocal Chopping is something that is hardly ever explained in detail...
  10. Hey! These forums have a non-pony artwork area... Who knew? Anywho, here is a song from March I did. Head on over, like, comment, subscribe (do do do do do do do do do sub-scribe!), etc.
  11. Wow, that tutorial was awesome! I'm checking out the demo of Zebra right now. Thanks! (I can't believe how much the gibberish turned into bass vocals)
  12. Hey, so I think I found out what stumps me most of the time in making music; post-drop melodies. I can make intros and other parts of the songs, but when it comes to the part after the drop or the buildup, I always have trouble. Are there any tips or special methods that I could use to create that part? Thanks in advance.
  13. Yeah I didn't find any VST's that expanded what I already had or had those types of sounds in the presets. Any more help would be greatly appreciated.
  14. Thanks! I'm trying out a few in a bit. The one question remains though; how to get those two sounds from the two videos above?
  15. So I have FL Studio Producer Edition. I have made about 5 or so mediocre songs. The problem is that I seem to have reached an impasse where I can't make any new sounds that I have described above. Additonally, with Dubstep/Complextro, there are a lot of unique sounds that I can't figure out how to make or how to combine seemingly different sounds together into a 4 bar melody. I have gone through most of the free vst's on FL Studio and even some others that I have downloaded like Firebird 2, but I need to know how to create those unique sounds and put them together. Thanks.
