Does nobody like to answer phone calls anymore ? I figured they were more ... professional given they are more direct than not. Might just be a result of all these robo-calls nowadays and catching you off-guard (i.e., "cold calls/transfers").

Having said that, professional has its gray areas and one thing could be the opposite to some and not to others, and be the opposite sometimes and not other times.
